It was a clear, sunny day, and I had a lovely afternoon planned.
A visit to the local historic hotel. A nice lunch. A walk in the park with my fiancé-turned-frog.
But you know what they say about best-laid plans in Bigfoot Bay.
What ghost up, must come down.
Turns out I can communicate with spirits. Lucky me.
Before I know it, I’m investigating the suspicious death of a family friend and turning up more dirt than a graveyard.
Secrets are like weeds – root out one and another pops up in its place.
Too bad for one particular hoity-toity resident spreading rumors about me.
What ghost around, comes around.
The Bigfoot Bay Witches cozy mystery series: Witch on Ice – Book 1 Bewitched Brew – Book 2 Witch Bane and The Croaking Game – Book 3 Witch Haunt – Book 4 Book 5 – Coming March 2020!
Cat Larson never has to look further than her own backyard for inspiration - her small eccentric Midwestern town with its own cast of colorful characters provides plenty of fuel for her imagination.
She's surrounded by acres of untamed forest and lakes with no shortage of peculiar creatures to write about. While sipping her first of many cups of coffee for the day and popping handfuls of wild blueberries, Cat is greeted by the extended family of frogs who share her land.
However, unlike her stories, none of these frogs were once human (that she's aware of).
Awesome. The next book looks as if it's going to be a real humdinger. This is like the build up to the big finale. Yes there is a murder that has been written off as an accidental death but it's only a build up to the real story. Her new power has finally shown itself. Being able to see and communicate with ghost. As she finds out during a visit to the local Inn. However finding out that the previous owner was murdered was a complete eye-opener. Add in a wife, affairs, a witch that transforms people into dolls and traps other supernaturals in her spooky garden, a goblin that isn't what he seems, the presence of a chimera, an evil witch and a scheme that is based around her presence in town. Will she work out who killed the former Inn owner? Will she come face to face with the person who has masterminded the plot to get her into town?
The title is perfect! Samm is now seeing and hearing spirits! And this spirit is funny and loves telling jokes! There is so much going on in this story. My head is spinning with everything that was revealed in this installment. It was fantastic! I am on edge now, waiting for the next book to come out so I can find out what happens! Loved it!

This author is growing in her style. What an entertaining book. Exciting and more-ish. A lot of fun! A good flow, and good pacing, which made me keep turning those pages. Samm can be quite the hothead, lol. I loved how she can now see and hear spirits. Do not attempt to read this book as a standalone, the overarching storyline throughout the series is strong. So best start with book 1, but it’s no punishment, I assure you!
I have read this entire series and each book has been great. Cat Larson pulls you in from the beginning and keeps you entertained until the last page. This book has lots of secrets, mystery and murder. Throw in some paranormal beings and you have everything you could want in a cozy mystery. I hope there is a spin off series in the future.
each book of this series has gotten better. Mystery, ghosts and a frog for a fiance. all come together to make this a fun to read series. I am anxiously waiting to see what comes next.

This is such a confusing, thrilling and addictive series. Fun paranormal cozy mystery - what more can you ask for? The characters in this book are so interesting and quirky - just too much fun! Can’t wait to read the next book.
A nre to me author, and mainly my fault for starting with Book 4. Samm's sister has gone missing, after turning Samm's boyfriend into a frog. Samm believes that she is the least powerful witch in her family, having denied the magical world for ages in the first place but finds that she has "The Sight" and is able to see ghosts, or at least 1 in particular.
An interesting story, rather cleverly written with a few subplots but I have not given it 5 starts because I found it a little hard going and confusing, not having read the previous books. As I said, mainly my fault, but I cannot say that it works as well as a standalone; the author mentioned characters and previous events that left me going huh? If I had read the other books, I would have probably really liked it; the characters are fun and the storyline interesting.
