Revenge never tasted sweeter… Until it becomes love, then it feels like marriage might just be the right thing for the playboy billionaire Sheik.
Once again, third book in the series that changed tenses every other sentence. What is up with that?! I mean, seriously, Ms. Snihur, was it done on purpose and, if so, why not do it in all of the books instead of just a few? This is SO freaking irritating to have tenses change from present to past so darn much! And then, to make matters worse, it went from third person to first person. No longer "her" but to "my" near the end. However, even with all the struggle with dealing with the wording, the book still managed to have all the romance, drama, angst, passion, heartbreak, etc., as the others.
I am giving this a 4 only because I liked the last 3 chapters which had some action. I liked the suspense about the brother. What made me crazy is the shifting tense from past to present and back. It really messes with my head. This is the second book I have read of this author and I am getting the feeling that English may not be the first language of this author. How else could there be so many errors in tense. What I don’t understand is, before the book hits the shelves, isn’t there an editor or someone reading it to correct the grammatical issues or is that something passè?
The story of Sophie and Tariq, a thief and a Crown Prince, was a fun and a completely engaging reading experience. This is the third book I have read by this author and have liked them all as they are well written and not only is there chemistry between the characters but the story-lines are interesting and solid.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Excellent story with background information. Great intrigue based on terrorism and how a desperate young girl gets pulled into the middle of it. Great Happy ever after
