After overcoming their difficulties in Two Hearts Together, Anna and Zoe are nurturing their relationship, letting it grow slowly but surely. When a surprise visitor shows up in Donovan Grove, things threaten to go off course. Or will the unexpected circumstances help Anna and Zoe grow closer to each other? Find out in the third and final part of this brand new novella trilogy by lesbian romance best-seller Harper Bliss.
Harper Bliss is a best-selling lesbian romance author. Among her most-loved books are the highly dramatic French Kissing and the often thought-provoking Pink Bean series. She is the co-founder of My LesFic, a weekly newsletter offering discount deals on lesbian fiction.
Harper lived in Hong Kong for 7 years, travelled the world for a bit, and has now settled in Brussels (Belgium) with her wife and photogenic cat, Dolly Purrton.
Together with her wife, she hosts a weekly podcast called Harper Bliss & Her Mrs.
This is a great conclusion to the Two Hearts Trilogy by Harper Bliss, which gives a sense of closure to the story. Because the previous books end in cliffhangers and tell the story only partially, it was hard to tell what direction the plot was taking. ‘Two Hearts Forever’ is where the three parts make a whole.
The story is set in the fictional small town of Donovan Grove where Anna Gunn lives and works. Anna is a loner and her life is carefully planned in a strict routine which is challenged when Zoe Perez arrives from NYC to open a bookstore in town. Zoe is sociable, gorgeous and is determined to break down Anna’s carefully constructed walls. But soon she’ll discover that Anna is as appealing as complicated… After they decide to give dating a chance, they both soon discover that Anna’s neurological disorder and Zoe’s difficulties in dealing with it get in the way of their happily ever after.
This is book three and last of the ‘Two Hearts Trilogy’ by Harper Bliss which should be read in chronological order. Book one is ‘Two Hearts Alone‘, and book two is ‘Two Hearts Together‘. Don’t start with this one as you will miss major developments in the story because the author doesn’t do a recap, she just continues with the plot development. As a matter of fact, it looks like Ms. Bliss divided a long-ish book into three novellas which I’m not clear why. I recommend getting the complete trilogy and enjoying the book as a whole.
I’d say that this book is not the typical novel by this author if by typical you call sexy romances or erotica. This is similar to ‘At the Water’s Edge’, and Ms. Bliss calls this trilogy ‘its spiritual sequel’. In some parts, it’s not an easy read but it gives a good idea of the life challenges for people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and how hard it is also for people around them.
In the author’s notes, Ms. Bliss pours her heart out about the reasons why she wrote this book and how it was a cathartic experience and, at the same time, a catalyst for self-transformation. I won’t disclose much because it makes more sense to read the notes at the end of the book, where they are. But let me say that it made me see this author in a new light as well as people who are neurodiverse, especially those with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
So now that the whole book is available, I’m happy to say that I enjoyed the journey taken by Zoe and Anna. The story is very well written, the characters very well researched and the plot flows seamlessly. Some parts aren’t easy to read and by no means, this is a sexy or fluffy romance but there is a lot of positive emotion and hopefulness which balances the more difficult parts. A great end to this trilogy. 5 stars.
ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Oh my goodness... I loved this trilogy. It’s just so endearing, so full of life and love that at the end of it my heart was just swelling with love & happiness and bursting at the seams... I first thought that Anna was just being quirky but reading on, I then understood why she’s the way she was; Anna’s diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. And how she opened my eyes (and heart) as she navigates her live and love... And I adored Zoe just as much as I adored Anna; what’s with her will and patience in trying to understand Anna and love that flowed freely even when Anna refused to break down her wall. 2 amazing characters and an amazing read that will remain close to my heart ❤️
A short personal note from the author at the end of Book; reasons why she penned this book... which she now shares with her readers.
I really enjoyed this series, it was my first time reading about a character with autism spectrum disorder. It was amazing reading about someone and understanding exactly what they're going through and relating to them in a way I've never been able to relate to a book character before.
Just reading about a woman who has asd and seeing her still accomplish things and everything made me kind of emotional and this book series will have a special place in my heart because of that.
I really hope to read more books including autism in the future but this was a great start, I'd definitely recommend you picking up the first book in this series. It has great representation and is really quick to read. The characters were great and there was humor and soft moments and steamy moments and just everything a good novel needs.
Not sure why sold as 3 different titles when clearly the same book. (Money making? Cost more than a HB one off book.) Only reason for previous 4*s was their length - this is a five star book and should be read as such. Good characters and a moving Author's Note at the end gives it a rich context.
Two Hearts Forever by Harper Bliss is the third and last book of the Two Hearts Trilogy and need to be read in chronological order for it to be the complete story. I opted for the audio book version (all available on Scribd).
Narration is done by Tanya Eby (Anna) and Melissa Moran (Zoe). The chapters are alternating between Anna and Zoe’s pov. Because it’s basically one book cut into three parts the audio books are rather short. Two Hearts Alone is 3 hours, book 2 Two Hearts Together is 2 hours and Two Hearts For Ever is also 2 hours long.
This was a very interesting read. When you plow through them all in one go (as I did) it seems a bit silly to divide them into three separate audio books when combined it’s not longer than 7 hours. Maybe Bliss spaced out the publishing to give you the time to digest it all? I don’t know.
The subject is certainly not an easy one. Falling for a woman who’s on the spectrum will bring its own challenges and both Zoe and Anna – who are very different people - will have to put in the work to adapt. Bliss works her usual magic and makes it happen. Special shout out to Hemmingway the dog.
I liked the author’s notes at the end of the book where she explains what having ASD means to her and why writing this book was such a personal journey. It makes you look at Harper Bliss with a whole new appreciation.
f/f don't expect the usual Harper Bliss sexual fire works, with a woman like Anna you have to take it slow
Themes: Donovan Grove, falling in love with a woman who has ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), book store, painting to get out of your head.
4.4 Stars for the final book in the Two Hearts trilogy, Two Hearts Forever.
Anna continues going to her therapist, April. It is interesting to see how Anna learns to deal with her autism along with her family and of course, Zoe. The couple also continue to grow closer. I think Anna has become one of my favorite characters, certainly unforgettable. I enjoyed this trilogy.
**Be sure to read the Author’s Note at the end of the book (but not before you finish reading the book!).
I received an ARC copy of the book direct from the author and voluntarily leaving my review.
This is Book 3 in the Two Hearts Trilogy by Ms Bliss and I would advise to read the other two parts before this one as it is not a stand-a-lone book.
We are back in Donovan Grove with Anna and Zoe for the final book of this trilogy. For me this is the best work so far that I have read by the author. I haven’t read all her work, but have read a fair amount and this is in a league of its own.
I have loved both Anna and Zoe from the first book and I have always thought that Anna was a special and unique character and I have fallen in love with her myself. She truly is amazing. Zoe is also a great character, taking the time and patience to get to know Anna and how to cope with it all. I love all the characters, story line and the pace was perfect.
This is one series that will stay in my heart for a long time. Now that I have the full trilogy I will go back and read all three books again.
I highly recommend giving this series a read. You will not be disappointed.
I just finished reading this final installment of the Two Hearts Trilogy. I overall liked the series. I do wish it was just one book. Not sure why it needed to be a series. I can tell you that for the most part I always enjoy a Harper Bliss book. She does a good job addressing what life is like for someone with Autism. I did find myself rooting for both mains. Also, I love that Harper loves diversity in her characters. I think that is another reason why I enjoy her romances. I give the series 4 stars.
I just finished reading the Two Hearts trilogy and this review should be read as one of the whole trilogy and not just this book.
These books alternate between the perspectives of Anna, an introverted graphic designer and gifted painter, diagnosed with ASD as an adult, and Zoe, relocated to Anna's home town with her teenage daughter.
Anna's world is small, familiar, and safe. She lives with her cute dog Hemingway, has Sunday lunch at her parents house each week, has drinks on a Friday with her best friend Sean and brother Jamie and owns a company with Sean, but mostly works from home.
Zoe relocates from city life and the rat race for a change of pace, using her experience of working for Amazon to buy a bookshop. She is immediately drawn to the unconventional Anna.
A significant part of the book is devoted to Anna's struggles to accept her diagnosis, and she sees herself as defective and disabled.
The details of Anna's world, her routines, her humour, the stuff about her painting and her internal dialogue and anxieties are very well written. I was so heartened by Zoe's response to her, and her skill in teasing Anna out of her world. I think it's a really important book in showing that ASD does not mean isolation, dependence or zero relationships of any kind.
What a powerful and moving piece of writing this is. If even just one neurotypical person who reads it takes on board some of the autism stuff and is able to be a bit more understanding that would be a beautiful thing. It's also a damned fine read.
This is the last book in the Two Hearts trilogy. Do yourself a favor and read all three books back to back! You'll want to see the whole of Anna and Zoe's story at once.
One of the things I loved about this trilogy is it's a story of love and working through difficulties when the two people in the relationship are very different but very committed. Anna is on the autistic spectrum and sees herself as disabled. She's introverted in the extreme finding it difficult to spend much time with others. Zoe is a mother, a Latina, a bookstore owner, new to town and very much a people person. The trilogy chronicles their meeting and the progression of their relationship through fun and through difficult situations. The journey is well worth the read.
Pay special attention to the author's note at the end of this book.
Fantastic Finish This is the third and final book in the Two Hearts trilogy. This is NOT a standalone book. In this installment, Zoe and Anna continue building their relationship, slowly but surely. Brooklyn and Anna also begin to bond and a cute, sweet new member of the Perez household is added. When Zoe gets a visitor, one who has the potential to destroy everything, will Anna and Zoe be able to weather the situation or will it all be just too much?
Oh such heavy sighs this book left me with. It was delightful and endearing, surprising and enlightening but most of all so lovely and loving. I loved it all and didn’t want it to end, but the ending was wonderful!! If you have read the other two in the series, you will love this one and if you haven’t, do yourself a favor and get them so you can experience this enchanting saga for yourself!
I really liked this book; it was a great end to the trilogy. It’s a quick read, but one that delves deeply into the interpersonal realm for both Anna and Zoe. I enjoyed seeing the relationship continue to develop through both perspectives because we could see the effort that Zoe put into understanding Anna, as well as see Anna’s journey and concerns and struggles through her own eyes. The book club scene, too, showed all the support that Anna had from her friends and family, that she perhaps hadn’t even realized, and that she had the strength to reach out to others like her. It was a lovely positive ending to the story.
A very satisfying end to a very interesting story and a authors note which leaves you feeling privileged to have read this story. I highly recommend this story about the struggles and triumph of a neurodiverse woman. Embrace and celebrate difference and remember you must read all three novellas in order.
This is the third and final book in the Two Hearts Trilogy and I must admit that I am a bit crushed because I have to say goodbye to Anna and Zoe. These lovely ladies stole my heart from the first book but this one will always be special to me because I have watched Anna and Zoe's budding relationship grow and I've also watched Anna grow as well because she has done what many people are afraid to do at times—she reached out for help and this made her all the more endearing to me. Anna faced her issues head on and I must say that I felt as though my heart was overflowing with so much love for her and I just wanted to reach through my kindle to give her the biggest hug ever! This author definitely deserves the highest of fives because she gave me such a realistic and detailed description of the issues that many people with Autism Spectrum Disorder have to deal with in all areas of their lives and she has also given me an unforgettable sex scene between Anna and Zoe that made me take several cold showers. I am truly sorry that this is the end of this delightful series but I am already looking forward to reading more heartwarming stories from this author.
This is the third and final instalment of the Two Hearts trilogy.
I still believe the first one is the best but this is a close second. Anna comes to terms with her diagnoses and works on her mental health, while Zoe learns how to deal with it and handle certain situations. I believe the ending, which is a couple years on, could be a bit longer. Maybe is steps of a year, this might also be because I liked all the characters in these books and I didn’t want this story to end.
The character development throughout the series is remarkable and it’s very nicely written. I’d recommend reading all books in one go.
The Two Hearts Trilogy is an absolutely fascinating character study. An extremely personal view into the life of a woman with ASD, we get a look into each of the main characters' POV. Readers have been waiting on the love scene through the first two installments, and we aren't disappointed. The inner running dialogue on each side is brilliant. Bringing in Brooklyn's other mother added just the right amount of conflict.
I love stories where I learn something, and I definitely learned a lot in this trilogy. Not to be missed. {Side note: the storyline about the "t-shirt" is hilarious.}
That sometimes I didn’t know how to react to this story. It wasn’t the easiest of reads for many different reasons. I’m a nurse and sort of a magnet for understanding all different types of people from all different walks of life. From the youngest age of 5, I’ve been around people that had varying degrees of mental and physical differences that some may consider atypical. I had an aunt who was very good as seeing people as people. And I am quite like that. I also have quite a few people in my family that is differently abled. I also see myself that way and have two daughters who are also what they like to term neurodivergent. We all have ADHD.
People like Zoe sort of already has it in her to be able to relate to someone like Anna, diagnosis known or not, because it is the way she seems to be built. She also has a good handle on what she may not be able to handle and knows herself well. She also passed this down to her daughter Brooklyn.
I see the love between Zoe and Anna, but as a person looking in on the relationship I found it quite exhausting at times. Perhaps you get used to relating that way that it becomes second-nature. Zoe is centered on Anna and her first thoughts are about Anna. But she also pushes Anna that widens and broadens the world for Anna. Zoe wasn’t afraid to let Anna know what she wants and she just stepped into Anna’s life and filled up space even when Anna continued to show at times that there was no room. Well Zoï made room in Anna’s space, her home, her schedule, and her life by also allowing Anna the ability to be who she always was and is and also pushing her to be and see the wonderful version of herself that Zoe sees.
I have plenty of family members that show these traits of course not being diagnosed. Maybe that is why I have an easier time than most relating because it’s family but also can comfortably explain that it can be exhausting depending on how that person presents. So, Anna isn’t out of the ordinary, I think she is just one of the few that has been diagnosed and have that knowledge. The rest of us, I hope one day gets there on both sides of it, the ones that have it and those that love them.
This is the third and logically the final book of the trilogy and a magnificent way to close a brilliant series.
This book has brought all kind of fuzzy feelings on me. I simply love Ana and Zoe, they’re so good together, it’s great to see them working as one to achieve knowing each other and work as a couple. I love Anna completely and I am so glad she is coming to terms to who she is. It is beautiful to see her road to self-acceptance.
I’ve already mentioned how well written and how masterfully Harper has expressed Ana’s and Zoe’s path to happiness. I won’t get tired of saying how much I love this trilogy and that being personal makes it beyond exceptional. This easily is the best of Harper’s work so far, and that is saying something because she already has a lot of amazing books; that must tell you how great this third book and the trilogy are. This book made me forget about everything but the marvellous feeling it left. Made me very happy and I can't stop smiling.
There is only one word to describe this trilogy: EPIC.
I highly and happily recommend this book and of course the trilogy, since every book is linked in order.
The final book, “Two Hearts Forever” in Harper Bliss’s “Two Hearts Trilogy” was worth the build up to Anna believing desire beats fear. With the help of her therapist and Zoe and Zoe’s daughter Brooklyn, Anna realizes she no longer has to hide who she is. Anna and Zoe’s love journey is interrupted by the return of Zoe’s ex, Eve, which triggers Anna’s anxiety and self-doubt. Harper describes, beautifully, both Anna’s triggers and self-talk as well as Zoe’s accommodations for her own anxiety. Zoe understands Anna’s triggers as well as the need to do a little pushing for Anna to overcome her self-defeating self-talk. “Two Hearts Forever,” is a very beautiful and sexy love story; the love scenes are intense and demonstrate how midnight pleasures do not require words to be spoken. Thank you, Harper, for writing a book with a neurodiverse character. You provide insight into Anna’s struggle of understanding, acceptance and eventual “coming out” as a neurodiverse person.
The most sensual of the three books! So sweet and sensual! Anna and Zoe get intimate and that is very sensual written! However, it is not the only thing that i found it sensual. It was the whole way to each other and ultimately the trust that Zoe earned. She waited patiently and took the courage to ask for intimacy at the right moment. Anna was then ready to give. I loved that!
Anna, but also Zoe, are very complex characters with many layers, uncertainties and doubts. They are very beautiful and well-written. Anna of course with her eccentricity and organized every day life has a lot to work on but also Zoe with her past and the new life in Donovan Grove with a teenager that misses her other mother. It‘s a challenge.
I also loved all other characters. Anna‘s Family or the friends. The book made me want to see Donovan Grove and to visit the bookstore to browse and admire Zoe's picture ;) Thanks to Harper Bliss for that special lovely small-town lesbian romance.
Harper Bliss seems to write in two different arenas: erotic romance and romance.
This is the final in the trilogy.

I had to wait to get here to write all this. Harper Bliss wrote At The Water's Edge which felt so heartfelt and emotional. This trilogy is up there with the emotional aspect. As someone who is not on the ASD spectrum but thinking of my niece who is, I couldn't see my niece ever living this type of full-is life. ASD is a spectrum and I often tend to forget that. I wondered how realistic the character was because of my lens. I was happy for the ending the level of understanding and explanation for what it is like to be ASD.

Read the from the author at the end. Wow! Thank you for being honest and shedding light on the ASD spectrum.
This is the last installment in the Two Hearts Trilogy and I admit that I will really miss these characters and everything about this story. The characters (everyone) got close to my heart and I loved every page of this and the previous books.
Harper Bliss' writing is so good I could feel everything.
And this last book just felt right to me. It combined the strings and left me satisfied.
I whish we could have seen more of Eve somehow. Don't know why but I think the conflict could have been a tiny bit moore on this side. But this is the only minor point to add here.
I loved the teenage couple as well. This was so cute and how the mamas talked about some major things. Loved it. I loved it too how everybody connected to each other. I really could feel it.
The third and final book . Really enjoyed reading this , the story is one of two different women . Zoe who owns Bookends and her daughter Brooke .Then we have Anna a painter/artist who suffers with ADS (Autism) also in therapy which is helping her to understand herseljf. They are a couple and Zoe ex-wife appears on the scene. Really enjoyed reading this and the fact that there is humour and showing us a little about ADS makes you realise that's it is very difficult for some to reach out, yet for some it's not as hard but still difficult. Author Harper Bliss admits that she had it ,but the mild form of ADS. But what a Awersome author she is and may she continue to write for us the readers. Highly recommend and 5*****STARS.
Amazing ending to a fabulous story. The book again took me through all the emotions happiness, sadness , pride , panic , fear , anger. This book has given a good glimpse into the romantic life of someone with Autism. In true Harper form the love making scene was exquisite. When I got that part of the book my brain screamed “it cannot be done already” and was relived. The supporting cast of the book added to its charm and Anna’s growth continued through the last page. For me her work in acceptance and not comparing herself to others was powerful and should be a place we all try to find in ourselves.
Thank you Harper for putting a piece of yourself in this book. Your are an inspiration and I cannot wait for the next book.
Honestly I‘m a bit at loss for words right now and don’t think I can’t thank Harper Bliss enough for sharing this story. Before reading these 3 books I knew I‘m a big introvert. But during reading I started questioning myself if it couldn’t be just introversion but also Autism. I found so many parts of myself in Anna and could relate so much. The journey she took and the growing was just wonderful to read. Zoe is the perfect partner for her and I loved how she grew as well. Or rather how they did together. My eyes are still a bit wet and I think I will need some time until I‘m able to read another book. Just because I‘m still so into this book. Harper you really outdid yourself and I‘m so happy for you that you were able to share. So just thank you again.
This is more of a review for this "trilogy," which is really more of one romance book split into three volumes. This book is similar to many small-town, feel-good, romance novels, which is a good thing, because it is meant to be, except that it also carves a space out in that subgenre for a lesbian couple, including one person diagnosed with ASD. I appreciate the representation in these books a lot, even if, like many good and enjoyable romance books and movies, it feels like it's moving at breakneck speed. Obviously the experience of all lesbians and all ASD people can't be represented in one book, but I'm so glad that the author wrote this #ownvoices story, especially because the characters' relationships with their families plays an important role.
This is the last book of the new Trilogy of Harper Bliss, so isnt a standalone book but definitely is Standing out. A wonderdul story, actually a different story with so real characters with actual feelings, challenges, emotions and obstacles. A story showing how different and unique we are and how much lonely we can be if we dont take the chances to go out of our norms. A book that it felt so close to my heart and so close to my thoughts as it has been written with real passion and understanding. It concluded the story beautifully without leaving any gaps or any doubt. I continue reading it until the end and then I close the book with a pure smile. Pure perfection.
3 stars. This is the final chapter of Anna and Zoe. Without giving anything away, This book concludes their series and is a good ending to the series. Anna and Zoe both have issues which have now been resolved and this book really tells how their story ends and how they deal with the problems that have been building in the series.
This book was decent ending to a good series. I really like how Anna and Zoe concluded their issues and worked everything out. I really liked how Anna and Zoe interact with Zoe's daughter and make Anna feel more like one of the family. I would obviously recommend it if you read the other two short stories in the series.
Concluding 120 page novella or section to the Two Hearts Trilogy. Anna is getting the some help that she needs and Zoe is wonderfully patient and not pushing. Zoe’s ex shows us from out of the country but doesn’t really add much drama. I like seeing the more confident Anna and they finally get to some steamy times as a couple. The epilogue chapter is especially nice.
Overall an enjoyable romance. The neruodivergent Anna is realistically living her life and the book explains her thoughts and fears well. I love Zoe’s confidence in herself and willingness to speak up when she needs. I didn’t mention the daughter much but I enjoyed their interactions as well in the whole series.
