The best thing about this book? It is really short. But the worst thing about this book is that the writing is pretty amateurish. You can tell from the back cover that the author tries maintain the mystery of the story but throughout the book, the story isn't narrated, it is told. This happened, then this happened. It doesn't embody the spirit of the character which is why I had trouble liking it. The intrigue is maintained which is one thing that kept the pages turning for me but honestly, I believe that this book needs a good editor and a lot of rework at this stage. It seems more like a first draft than a finished piece.

What I did like about the book is how Laura tries to face her demons herself even though it is more due to necessity than choice.
