Not bad, but...
This was not bad, after the tranquility of the previous volume we now find ourselves engoulge in pure mayhem. We finally meet the main villain, he has a poorly explain device (in my opinion) to make chaos fall upon our heroes.
The bad thing for me was that they use the word "horde" to describe the amount of goblins that are coming to town, and to be honest, it didn't look nor feel like a "horde". Also, and i'm not saying there are no stakes in this dangerous world, but Goblin Slayer seems to be always ahead of the enemy (because that's he's job and he's been doing it for quite some time now) and sometimes it feels like nothing can go wrong.
Overall, aside from my complaints, i thoroughly enjoy this volume. It was fun and action-packed, and i can't wait to see what's gonna happen in the next arc.

that was another great volume, this is the last one I currently own..... I really need to get the rest as soon as possible

Goblin Slayer e compagnia si preparano ad affrontare un nuovo assalto dei goblin...goblin guidati dallo stesso tizio che li aveva equipaggiati per colpire la Città dell'Acqua. Il tizio in questione è un elfo scuro che, grazie ad un oracolo, ha trovato un'antica reliquia per evocare un mostro, il gigante centimani Ecatonchiro.
Ancora una volta, sarà il lavoro di squadra a fare la differenza: un piccolo team di disagiati, cinque personaggi con specifiche capacità che, una volta unite, permettono al nostro protagonista di affrontare qualsiasi sfida. Anche perché la nostra banda di disperati è stata chiamata in causa per una nuova missione: sterminio di goblin e ricerca di persone (immagino sia l'avventura presentata nel film). Vediamo cosa succederà nel prossimo volume!

It's quiet...too quiet.
After the intense surprise attack on Goblin Slayer and Guild Girl (bringing back a character from the past) it is back to business as Goblin Slayer realizes the dangers coming from all sides. What more the mastermind behind this surprise strike is among the hordes of evil and the creepy artifact he possesses will offer a challenge to our valiant defenders as Goblin Slayer does what he does best. We also get to see the Hero and her friends on a different side of the skirmish handling a dangerous foe connected to the evil artifact and we get a short story of a chance meeting between Priestess and the Hero. :)

Excellent.
Volume 8 carries on from the previous volume with the death of the traitorous rhea and the upcoming attack on the town.
Again you see the ingenious methods of bringing the goblins down. Imagination is a weapon indeed.
Having already read the light novel I knew the ending, but it was great to see that novel turned into manga.
An enjoyable read and interspersed was little moments that referred to prior volumes or setting up the story to be carried out in the next edition.
A must have book for fans of the series.

Nie tak miał zakończyć się ten wspaniały wieczór. Plany były o wiele bardziej „romantyczne” (przynajmniej jednej ze stron – tej piękniejszej). Zasadzka i próba zabójstwa głównego bohatera, niebyła w ogóle przewidywana. W tym brutalnym świecie fantasy trzeba być gotowym dosłownie na wszystko. Ciąg szalonych wydarzeń jest jednak tylko początkiem czegoś większego. Czegoś, co czytelnicy będą mogli odkryć na kolejnych stronach Goblin Slayer #8. Za zamachowcem stoi bowiem ktoś potężny, kto prowadzi ku miastu armię goblinów.
„Łowca” w takiej sytuacji nie ma więc czasu na amory. Przed wyruszeniem w drogę musi on zebrać jeszcze drużynę. Dopiero wtedy grupa dzielnych wojaków jest wstanie przeciwstawić się zielonym paskudom. Pokurczom, które pod osłoną nocy próbują okrążyć miasto. Zasługują więc one na dość nieprzyjemny koniec, który ich niechybnie czeka. O wiele więcej problemów bohater będzie miał z ich przywódcą, który potrafi przywoływać naprawdę straszliwe bestie.
Ósma odsłona serii dosłownie od pierwszych stron zapewnia czytelnikowi gargantuiczną dawkę akcji. Historia nie bawi się tutaj w odpowiednie budowanie klimatu i stopniowanie napięcia. Cała treść zamknięta jest tylko w jednym tomie, co oznacza naprawdę mocne tempo fabuły. Krew leje się strumieniami, kończyny latają na prawo i lewo, goblińskie truchło pokrywa ziemię, a bohater wraz z towarzyszami pokazuje swoje „zdolności”. W przeciwieństwie do kilku poprzednich tomów nie znajdziemy tutaj nadmiaru golizny (pomijając dość intrygujący strój religijny kapłanki). Manga całą uwagę skupia na walce, której zakończenie jest zarazem początkiem nowego wątku.
Goblin Slayer #8 czyta się więc bardzo dobrze i miłośnicy „krwawej” fantastyki będą zachwyceni zarazem akcją, jak i rysunkami. Te oczywiście kolejny raz pokazują swój kunszt i nie boją się epatować mrokiem i wyrazistą brutalnością. Dodatkiem do tego wszystkiego jest lekka i przyjemna w odbiorze warstwa humorystyczna, która należycie łagodzi niektóre skrajne fragmenty. Jak na razie seria jest bardzo udana i z wielką przyjemnością sięga się po kolejne jej tomy.

Probably the worst volume yet. There are pages full of very muddled, generic goblins in various throws of death but the “horde” is very small. The mangaka seems to have difficulty communicating size of force. The traps laid by goblin slayer are illustrated poorly so they defy function, and I’m not even sure how non-goblins in an active adventuring town interact with all of these traps. What happens if some are left armed after the “invasion”? The narrative has other problems too with flashbacks inserted to explain plot points and the non-segue into the next arc. And, the goofy resolution to solve the arrow deflection—it’s just too much. It makes for another disappointing experience, so it will be my last. For a better dark fantasy manga experience (with very few ongoing series choices on shelves) check out Delicious in Dungeon and Witch Hat Atelier.

If the previous volume showcased the different characters interaction this series has to off, this one shows off what can come from the battles. The fight against the Dark Elf shows a depth of magic not previously exploited in different fights. It's an incredible fight and definitely one everyone needs to check out.

Simple brutal story where the lil thot is evolving and crying so hard that god is hearing her bitchin.
