Brew Play Love

Rate this book
“As long as I’m your kind, that’s all that matters to me.”

Coffee and words. Two things I know well, things I’m good at. Fortunately for me, I found a way to combine the two. The local coffee shop has become my preferred work spot as I spend hours reading the way the authors I work with string together words to create novels.

Every day, I sit at my table, working on my laptop, a cup of coffee keeping me on task. Until the one day a car happens to catch my attention, a set of eyes that have me craving another glimpse.

From the first time our gazes meet, something clicks, a connection through a pane of glass. And I want to know more.

It becomes a game we play each morning, a habit, an addiction, just like my morning cup of java. I need more than these stolen moments with my coffee girl, and it seems, fate is on my side.

Even for a true wordsmith like me, the words for what brews around us escape me.

For the first time in my life, I’m at a complete loss for words.

Sweet book with little to no angst is just what I was looking for. Liam and Jenna were perfect for each other and I loved watching their relationship develop. Liam’s love for his grandfather was heart warming. This book was the perfect reminder that home is where the heart is.

Sweet, funny, quirky and endearing.

This here is a no-drama slow burn romance that will have you smiling every other page. And despite the lack of drama, it is both gripping and engaging.

An editor and a teacher, an addiction to coffee, a love for words and two hearts slowly given.
With a heaped spoon of dorkiness and fun along the way.

Liam is the poster child for addictive personality. He doesn't smoke, doesn't do drugs and keeps his alcohol intake to the minimum. But he can't get through the day without his fix of good coffee. And this is why the local coffee shop has become his preferred work spot where he spends hours editing novels for the authors he works with.

Jenna is just starting new. A new job in an unfamiliar place. She just accepted the local position of English teacher and, since she is also practically obsessed with everything coffee, the local coffee shop is a regular stop for her too.

The two of them inadvertently meet and something clicks. A connection sparks that makes them both want more. Jenna is obsessed with 'laptop guy's' dimples, while Liam keeps waiting for another glimpse of a 'random woman's' eyes. And the way they both stalk each other, tripping over their own feet is absolutely adorable.

It all becomes a game they play each morning, a habit, an addiction, just like their morning cup of java. And they both starts to crave more than stolen moments with each other. More than those granted by a chance encounter over coffee. Which was absolutely not a date. Because a date would imply that Liam would buy Jenna a coffee but she bought it for herself.

It's difficult to describe the charm and quirky sweetness of this tale without spoiling, so I'll settle for telling you this.

Brew Play Love is a fabulous feel good romance full of heart. Pace and wordbuilding are perfect, the setting is vivid and the characters are just as real as any reader out there. Feeling and emotion, dynamic and bonds - everything feels real. Not just in regard to the main cast of the novel, but for the secondary cast as well.

I loved the bonds between siblings, and the family relationships. Gramps is one grandfather anyone would wish to have and Jenna's mother is absolutely awesome! As for Liam and Jenna themselves, they are as cute and dorky and adorable as can be.

Family, love. support and quirky small town shenanigans, this book has a hefty dose of all of them. It is truly a book for the heart.

This is the first book that Ive read by this author and I really enjoyed it. I felt it is totally captivating and it was so brilliant that this author really has a total gift with her writing.

I've never read a book by this author before and I thought that this book was written fantastically. I defiantly was not disappointed and I really like the way that this author writes.

Liam is a really nice, genuine loyal man who cares protects very much the people around him who he loves. When there eyes meet for the first time Liam and Jenna's, boom, there is an instant attraction between them both and there is no denying the spark that these two people have. He wants more of those moments with his coffee girl.

Jenna is the woman that serves him coffee everyday and there love of coffee and words is what brings them together. Coffee and words, he found away to combine the two.

When both of these characters meet up the have a very strong connection there is no denying the spark that these two have.

This book is Liam and Jenna's story and its absolutely fabulous you will defiantly enjoy it. They have a mutual attraction which is nice to see.

The characters in this book were written very well and in excellent detail, this author has written them so good they could be your friends for real. This author has really brought them to life and these two characters are two of my best and I really liked them both.

I always love books that epilogues too as I always feel like it always adds that something extra special to the story. I was waiting a seeing how this played out and I really liked the story line of this book. This book was told from different points of view which I always like and prefer.

Thank You to the authors and the publishers for allowing me o read an early copy of this book.

When given the chance to read a new Taylor Delong book, I jump on it instantly. I was not disappointed. This book, took new meanings to addicted to coffee. I instantly fell for Liam. His love for words is what drew me in. As always, Taylor makes the book relatable to real life and you don't have to find yourself looking for a way to connect. Jenna, god I LOVE this character. She has to be one of my favorite characters Taylor has written.

The flow of this book is so well done, it was like I was watching a movie the entire time. There was drama, fire, passion, and words oh and did I mention Coffee?! Please if you get a chance you need to read this book. One of my top 2020 reads by far!

The best part of Taylor Delong’s books is how well you know the characters. Each and every book brings you deeper and deeper into the imagined friendship you have built with her characters. Liam and Jenna’s story is a little bit different than the previous stories we have read about the Stanton family. But that’s what makes it so good. Delong mentions on the acknowledgments that the Stantons weren’t a family she was keen on writing more about. I’m so glad that Jen had this idea because now the imaginary friendships I have with all of Delong’s characters has grown so much.
Brew Pray Love brings you on an adventure with two coffee loving and word loving characters, Jenna and Liam. The story of how they come together is heartwarming. But honestly, my favorite relationship is the one between Liam and Gramps. As a reader, you can’t help but fall in love with the two of them. Their bond really makes me miss my own grandparents, but also reminds me of how important it is to spend time with them while you can. Liam and I are so alike in that sense.
Brew Pray Love is another must read by Taylor Delong.

Loved getting lost in this new yet familiar setting of Taylor’s latest work! Enjoyed reading about characters that are near and dear to my heart and getting #lostinLaketon but I loved getting to know Jenna and more about Liam even more! Creating a story around all of my favorite things: coffee, words, sweet connections and hot moments ;) had me hooked from page 1! This is the perfect book to curl up and escape into especially with your favorite beverage!!

I won’t lie, sometimes I wanted to slap Liam for his decision, but then I’d realize that he was doing exactly what what right for him and Gramps, and Jenna was doing what was right for them both by supporting him.

Okay, now that that’s out of the way, I loved this story! Liam and Jenna meet up three amusing ways: their love for words, their love for coffee, and their inability to tell friends NO to some company one night. And with those three meetings, they’re able to get to know each other so much easier than most people would expect. And it’s those three meetings that make them and their relationship strong enough for what they have to endure for quite a time. And even better? The common theme of family being there to love and support each other, even if or when they drive each other batty. This author is so good at weaving that underlying theme into her books that I can’t wait to see who she brings our way next.

A book where the main characters inhale coffee practically 24/7? And, cameo appearances by our beloved Tanners? Sign me up!

Liam and Jenna share a love of coffee and Words with Friends. Add in a couple of meddling friends, a kick ass grandpa/Liam's roomie, and we have the recipe for small town shenanigans! Over the course of the book, Liam and Jenna both have difficult decisions to make. They each make the decisions that's right for them and make sacrifices to keep their relationship together. I love that they were able to sustain as a couple long distance and ultimately their patience paid off in a happily ever after.

So, whose book is next? Beth? Cayleigh? Tegan? Waiting (im)patiently! *LOL*

A wonderful, low angst book at a time when I needed it. Fate plays a huge role in this storyline. The main characters have multiple meet cutes in my opinion. Between meeting in a game, meeting at a coffee shop, and being set up on a blind date they were meant to be. Such a unique plot. I absolutely loved this book.

I. Love. This. Book!!!!!! I am such a fan of this author's work! She writes such amazingly, emotional stories. Once you start at the first word, you loathe having to put it down before you are done. Case in point, I'm writing this review at 3:45 am. No Joke.
I adored Liam and Jenna. Their story was perfect, from the meet-cute to their HEA!! I love Words With Friends and coffee, so it was easy for me to get totally engrossed in this story. All of the characters were awesome. I loved how the story flowed and the dialogue was awesome.
Now, I need my own "Liam" to hit my messages when I play...LOL

Jenna and Liam—they meet over their shared addiction to coffee in the small town where she’s moved to teach at the local high school. He’s an editor who works from the local coffee shop, and she sees him when she’s grabbing a cup to go on her way to school. Once they get together, they bond even more over their love of words. And along the way, they discover that their “bestie” on Words with Friends is the other one. Everything is going wonderfully well until Liam’s Gramps and housemate has a stroke. Liam’s parents decide that Gramps would be best off at a rehab center near them, so Liam goes to live with them; unfortunately, that’s several hours away from Jenna. After nearly a year apart, he proposes to her and she agrees to move to where he now lives and they start their HEA. The three stars is because, in addition to editing issues, there are too many words dragging out the descriptions of the main characters’ thoughts. Sometimes I felt like I was slogging through paragraphs that were totally unnecessary. I think the author has a lot of potential but needs to leave some things unsaid.

This one was cute. I saw it recommended in one of my book groups so I picked it up on a whim because I wish I was good at Scrabble or Word With Friends and that meet cute premise intrigued me. Jenna sees “lap top guy” sitting at the same window of her new favorite coffee shop when she stops at the drive thru every morning. Theo their eyes meet and her attraction increases ten fold. During this time Liam has started playing Words With Friends with a new anonymous player. I actually loved that Liam and Jenna meet in real life in the coffee shop and continue their “words” friendship as strangers for a while before they realize their online connection, it added another layer to their relationship. They are so delightful, I especially loved the Homecoming dance. Then their perfect bubble breaks a bit and they are tested. But the ending was perfect for them and the epilogue was charming as well. This is my first book by this author but I’m sure I’ll be adding a few more of her titles to my TRR shelf.

This book! Where do I begin! This book was AMAZINGLY written! It was filled with love, laughter, hidden messages, secret smiles and so much more!

Liam and Jenna did not have the love at first sight thing going with them, it was more like love at first brew lol! Every girls dream man loves books and coffee so I would say Jenna hit the jackpot!

Liam was every girls dream with his nicely toned body, quirky glasses, and those sexy as sin coffee colored eyes! Swooooon!

Perk and Main is one place I’m hoping and praying is real because I would really love to visit there and just bask in the memories it holds from the book! A match made in heaven took place there right by the stop sign😎.

Their love story moves at a pace that allows the reader to get to know each character and see how their part plays out within the story. I love that this book held my attention and kept me on my toes. There were time when I thought I had it figure out then BAM, I was wrong.

The epilogue was not rushed and I love how it took place a few years after they met! I love for a story to develop and the main characters get to build a life rather than just jump tight into everything!

Do yourself a favor and GET THIS BOOK NOW! It was everything I wanted at needed at that time in my life!

Taylor did an amazing job! You ROCK GIRL💋
