In Evansville Indiana, there is more than meets the eye. Illustrated and expanded upon by author Kyle Darnell. The Green Clawed Beasts snatches tourists out of the Ohio River. The Grey Lady haunts just around the corner. Potholes swallow people up whole. Thrill yourselfWill you be able to avoid the Maniac of Mesker Park Zoo? Probably not, but why not find out in “Evansville Weird Tales of Goblins, Ghoulies, and Ghosts.”
I really enjoyed the stories! The editing needs a bit of work, but it seems like this a passion project so I'm inclined to look past it. The author's sense of humor and imagination definitely came through in a positive way. I would def recommend this to anyone that's local and enjoys horror anthologies!
I'm a little biased, sure, but this book was so fun. I love how several of the stories tie together, but they are all perfect, spooky, stand alone stories. The art was really nice and it was fun looking for clues in each of the images that corresponded with the story. A superb book about Evansville.
