Well constructed, but could have been better. English VO is too widely separated between long stretches of uninterrupted Japanese, so it’s hard to pinpoint phrases. Im interested to see if this issue goes away for me after multiple readings though. A few audio editing glitches too. [AUDIBLE]

The audio goes much too fast. It is advertised as “for complete beginners”. This is ridiculous. There are a ton of not at all basic kanji in there with NO furigana or romaji transcription. As I said before, the audio is incredibly fast, so you can forget about trying to work out which kanji makes which sound. I have been learning Japanese for 2 years now and I had never seen most of the kanji in it. This book could have got a 4* or 5* if only it had slower audio, furigana and/or romaji and good vocabulary lists. Don’t buy.
