SS/HG: After the Second Wizarding War, Hermione Granger apprentices to the surviving Severus Snape. The war has changed her, hardened her, and left her bereft of the happiness she once had had in abundance. She finds in her new Master something she would never have expected while she was still a student at Hogwarts: understanding, trust, and the kind of healing neither of them expected to find in anyone, let alone each other.
It's a very nice plot, I absolutely loved the writing style. However, the plot started to drag after A was captured and especially after S had a nightmare of his life w/o H. It should have ended there with the ILYs being exchanged in between the protagonists. That would have been a natural flow, yet it didn't. So I dnfed about 75%, altough skimmed ahead a bit but it didn't look like the narrative gained anything substantial in the last 30(!) chapters. Honestly, a good story doesn't drag, it's important to end it at the right time. Having said that however, the first half was filled with quality writing and was highly enjoyable, original and really just outstanding. If it wouldn't have been for the dragging out, I'd have given it a 5 star and claimed that it's one of the best Snamione ships out there that I've ever read. The author did a great job.

An excellent tale beginning with the apprenticeship of of Hermione Granger to Severus Snape and Minerva McGonagall, and of course, another egg in Hagrid's hut that will change their lives forever.
