I write action-packed sci-fi and historical fantasy. I want to immerse readers in another time and place and for my stories to be gripping adventures. You should love my complex heroes and hate the twisted bad guys.
If you like the sound of that then check out; GODS OF BRONZE (my new historical fantasy series), THE IMMORTAL KNIGHT CHRONICLES (bestselling historical fantasy) and the GALACTIC ARENA series (smart military scifi).
Thanks for taking an interest in my stories. Follow me here on Goodreads to keep up to date with releases.

The Immortal Knight hunts more of his brother’s sired vampires and runs into William Shakespeare and his players in the Globe Theatre. A delightful short story.
VAMPIRE BARD is the third book of The Immortal Knight Chronicles Short Stories collection.
The Immortal Knight Chronicles Short Stories are designed to be read in conjunction with the main series, which starts with the novel VAMPIRE CRUSADER.
The events of VAMPIRE BARD take place after Book 7 VAMPIRE ARMADA of the Immortal Knight Chronicles.
Dan Davis writes these novellas because the series' protagonist, Richard of Ashbury, has performed countless heroic deeds down the centuries and fought in hundreds of battles that will not feature in the main novel series. But they are too good to miss.
So in this short, but thrilling adventure we join Richard and his companions in Stuart England where they pursue Guy Fawkes and his immortal accomplices in the Gunpowder Plot. The unfinished business of this endeavor leads to a showdown with an immortal player of the King's Men in the Globe Theatre during a performance of HENRY VIII. This features some comical events which lead to terrible consequences for the playwright William Shakespeare.
The entire series is absolutely tremendous fun. Each story is better than the last. I love the way Richard interacts with the authentic historical personalities throughout this speculative fiction. During this episode he continues to address Shakespeare as Bill despite the playwright constantly insisting upon being called William.
And the way Richard criticizes Shakespeare's portrayal of King John and Edward III is hilarious. Of course the Bard tries to defend himself:
"Shakespeare swallowed and attempted a smile as he retreated back towards his friends. “You know, I also wrote a play about Henry V.”
I shrugged. “That one was rather good, admittedly. I must say, the speech you put into his mouth the morning of the battle was even finer than the one he actually gave, rather than the unnecessary grandiloquence of one or two minor—”
I know that the word "delightful" is not usually a good descriptor for a military, blood-and-guts vampire tale, but this is indeed a delightful short story.
Once again Richard of Ashbury and his men are hot on the trail of blood drinkers created by his evil brother William bringing him into contact with Guy Fawkes and William Shakespeare. A great little read whisking us forward quickly in time ready for his next meeting with more blood drinking vampires.Yours A good filler till the next book becomes available, so recommended if your a fan of the series.
What could possibly go wrong with Richard at the Globe? Another interesting story to add to the books in this series. Get the books and leave your reviews.
