The hero in Sneaky Goblins is Dank: an underachieving and risk-averse assassin making his way in the world. His first job out of assassin school is to steal a sacred elf relic for the local mob syndicate. Along the way he beats dungeon bosses, upgrades his armour, fights the dragon, and impersonates a grocer, proving beyond all doubt that he really is a Sneaky Goblin.
Dank feels completely out of his depth but doesn’t go it alone!
He gets some help along the way and finds he is capable of greater things than he ever believed.
I really enjoyed the single episode look into this book so when I found out there was a full version I snapped it up. I love that it is a fully contained story and the changes in his character were amazing. It was an LITRPG in a way and at the same time more D&D. I found myself wishing for a little more context at the end but at the same time highly enjoyed the story. I kinda hope there is more from the goblin town in the future.
Terrible pacing, I felt like I skipped pages when I hadn’t. Continuously changing character illustrations. Characters introduced and killed within a few pages. It was like the bones of a story with no development
