Went downhill in this volume or maybe I’m just disappointed
The MC is beginning to look less like a dense harem protagonist and of a dense friend. The brutal treatment of Aura from her sister Aina is supposed to be comical, but for some reason it made me angry that he did nothing but stand there and not think twice about it. I also felt like he should’ve held onto his anger towards nobles just a little longer. When asked by the queen if he hated them instead of saying “don’t worry things are fine now” he should’ve said something like “My rage used to be like swimming in a lake up to my neck, now it’s like a pond that comes up to my knees.” I like the series overall and will keep reading, but I liked this volume a lot less.
I was very dissapointed with this book I have recently read the previous 3 books and found them to be well balanced. However this book lacked basically everything there wasn't anything particularly exciting about it and no real action the best was to describe it was it had the idea of a story without the extra filling to make it a book This series has such great potential it's a shame this one let down the rest of the series 😞
So, this book felt a lot like filler with nothing happening. Spoiler alert, the big event is the major tournament; we don't even get to see the end of it. The author just stopped the event. Very annoying. We had to read about Tenma getting dragged around town shopping with the queen but very little action.
Not sure I will buy the new book when it becomes available.
Truly I hope you all enjoy this much more than me.
I am in love with this series and I cannot wait to see what happens next!! More please. I am so glad that Tenma and Merlin reunited. There were a lot of reunions in this book which felt so warm. Glad he added a follower and am really curious who the B.K. is. It'd be funny if they are a woman and she falls for Tenma. 😂😂
