This book was a really good book. It was good, it really tackled a tough situation really well. Abuse is no laughing matter. And especially when it’s in a relationship. The author really handled this well. I know he was writing about fictional characters, but you almost think that he had personal experience. Prayers go out to anyone who has had to deal with spousal abuse, or being mistreated in this way. And to those that are struggling with this, there’s help don’t be afraid to ask.
The author really knows how to raise a stake and frustrate the readers and I appreciate that author is also tackling sensitive issues like domestic violence and such.
I think I might have lost it with this author. He baits so hard whilst filling the story with unlikeable tropes. The first three novels were likeable, but I started losing brain cells from the 4th to 5th due to the way the author attempts to push the story with cliches like the FL gets married off to some unlikeable character, or the idiotic 5 back at it again with money wasted. Hope it improves as I move to volume 6+ Actual review:2.5/5

I felt this 5th book was a bit rushed. It covered a lot but didn't go as in depth as the others with the character arc building out and I was let down a bit - as I really liked the characters that were presented. I wish it were given more time or even another book honestly. I feel like this arc was shortened for no apparent reason.
