I’m honestly dying. Rory Power is definitely my favorite author of all time now. After reading Wilder Girls, I completely fell in love with her work. I had read Burn Our Bodies Down earlier and it was amazing as well. But something about Wilder Girls just hit different. I could really relate to the characters. I also completely fell in love with Hetty. I mean, who couldn’t after seeing the cover of the book?! Wilder Girls is my favorite book of all time and reading this story just made it better. I can really relate to Reese now on multiple levels that I couldn’t after I first read Wilder Girls. I have the same relationship that she had with her dad, and after reading about her interactions with her dad I completely broke down into tears. Because I know her dad dies in the middle/end of Wilder Girls and I could just NOT IMAGINE my dad dying like that. I completely felt how she would have felt right then. I can also now relate to her thoughts too. Unlike Reese, I am a somewhat outgoing person and Reese really isn’t. But I have the same feelings as her friends wise and crush wise. Me and Reese both like girls and after reading her interactions with Hetty and Byatt, I just wanted her to “KISS HETTY ALREADY!!!”. Honestly it got me so frustrated that they didn’t kiss during the scene laying down. But knowing that they kissed in the actual book made it better. I originally thought of Reese as kind of a cold hearted little asshole but after this story she may be one of my favorite characters. AHHHH I can just relate to Reese SO MUCH!!! THANK YOU RORY FOR MAKING THE SECOND BIBLE!!!!!
