The world is full of beauty, and it is also full of strife, and so much in between. That is the subject of Chris Kujawa's first poetry collection. It does so by presenting three sections worth of (mostly) free-verse poems: The first of which takes a pessimistic/hopeless view at the world, the last of which takes a positive/optimistic view, and the middle one a more scattered mixed-feelings approach.
The ever eclectic Chris has created something quite nice here. Maybe because I know him personally and have seen the bright light of his brain before. But this is also why this is a great collection of poems. They capture the anxiety and the chaos of dreaming and relationships so well. Not only that, each poem runs euphorically into everything scary, turning the anxieties into joys to overcome. A self aware and funny debut.
