Rate this book
The one thing that True always wanted was a family that he could call his own. Growing up with two loving parents and being shown what love was, he wanted to be able to share that with someone else. He thought he had that when he met Angel, until she showed him just how wrong he was. Angel’s deception placed a lock on his heart until he runs into a friend from his childhood and old feelings arise. The only issue is she’s going through a storm of her own. Can he be what she needs or will the effects of what he’s been through interfere with what he needs to be for her.
Kalari is living the simple life. She’s running a successful business with her sister and spending all the time she can with the man she loves, Dalon. Everything in her world is perfect until someone walks in and shakes things up for her leaving her confused and broken hearted. Just when she thinks love is no longer in the cards for her, True comes along and gives her everything that she never knew she needed. Will Dalon allow her to move on without him? Or will Kalari become a victim of his selfish wrath.
A second chance at love can either make or break you. In this standalone novel, True and Kalari figure out how to navigate love through heartbreak and deceit. While Kalari finds out what it truly means to possess The Heart Of A Bad Boy.

This was actually better than I expected…cute story about childhood friends that like one another….but, nothing ever come of it until they become adults . After a break up Kalari is free and True now has a chance to reconnect with her. The couple have to go their a bit of turmoil and trouble, but finally get to their HEA. Now I’d like to see a story about Kaloni & The friend.

Congratulations on a great read

First, congratulations on all your accomplishments. You are by far one of my favorite authors. Now to that damn Dalon smh. Did he really believe he was all that and that Kalari was suppose to just take all his mess? Not!! True was like um yeah excuse me but let me show you what real love looks and feels like and he did that. Kalani will never find love being so damn judgemental, yes we have expectations for our men but shes looking in the wrong places when N'keal is where she is suppose to be. Dana was delusional. The sneak peak!!! Yaasss the kids are all grown up. Seems like Khalil has been through some things, poor child. So ready for their story.

Nice very nice

This standalone is lit. I hate my girl had to go through all of that but I’m glad she Servive the outcome. My baby true is a beast especially when u fuck with his family. Dalon didn’t have a chance he was selfish and all for himself. I hope her sister get herself straight and be with the love of her life before she loose him to another girl and then she can’t blame nobody but herself. I can’t wait to read a book about her and the love of her life. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and eating popcorn while waiting on the sneak peek book to come out

Great Read!

Another banger under Nikkis belt as she introduce us to Kalari and True and Kalani ans Ny'-Keal. I love Kalari and Trues relationship and wish that Kalani would stop being so judgemental and worried about what others had to say about Ny'Keal the guy that she loves but refuses to make him hers so that their relationship could flourish like her sister Kalari. It was definitely a great stand alone even though I would love to see a story about Kalani and Ny'Keal in the future

AWESOME!!!

Thank you Ms.Brown, I mean really. You have restored my 💘 of the urban romance genre. I loved how romantic it was, and still gritty. I loved the clean up crew angle too. That was new. What i respect the most is the story feels complete. I am not being strung along two more books to find out how the story ends. Yet, I am wanting to read what happens with some of the side characters enough to hope you write books for the other couples as well. I ain't even mad at this.

Great book!!!

I loved True!! The way that he helped heal Kalari was everything! He was patient and showed her what real love was like! I’m glad she wasn’t a dummy and tried to give Dalon another chance. Kalani is really a stuck up dummy. She gonna let a good man slip past because he’s not corporate even though her daddy was the same way. I hope N’Keal pass her right on by! Great story!!

Review!!

Kalari was just a girl in love with someone that didn't deserve the type of love that she had to give. Dalon thought that he could have his cake and eat it to that's until Aria tried to be messy and it backfired on her. True is what every woman wants in her life a man that is loving understanding family oriented . I loved the way True poured into Kalari after her heartbreak she bounced back 100% . I did not like the way Kalani treated N Keal he truly loved her.

Great Read

This was a really good standalone. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters. Kalari, had a real man in True and I loved how he was so patient with her. So glad that they got their happy ending. Dana and Dalon both was so stupid and got exactly what they deserved. Really would love to read Kalani and N'Keal story. Highly recommend this standalone. Loved the sneak peek at the end and can't wait to read it. Great job Nikki Brown.

Yessss!

I absolutely loved it! Finally, two strong and sensible characters. I absolutely love True and Kalari. They both didn’t allow other people to get in their heads and destroy their relationship. Finally, an author who gets it! Now that’s some real love, people who were certain about what the wanted and who they wanted it with. It was very refreshing to read something that’s a break from the norm! Kudos to you, Ms. Nikki Brown on a job well done.

That was so good. True and Kalari were meant for each other. They have endured a lot of pain from their previous relationships and deserved someone with genuine love that they deserved. Dalon and Dana got exactly what they deserved I wished they would have gotten Aria too. Hopefully she will cause problems in this next book to make N'Keal get rid of her then. Hopefully Kelani get herself together and realize what she has in N'Keal before it's to late and he moves on.

True♥️

Loved it!! Kalari deserved happiness after Dalon and True’s timing was perfect. He was literally everything and I loved his character🥰
Lani was definitely irritating and I’m glad they called her out on her bull... Honestly, N’Keal deserves better and I hope he finds it while she end up looking stupid🤷🏽‍♀️ She need to learn that everything that glitters isn’t gold... Soooo looking forward to that story!

Great read. I really don’t know how to feel about Lani. I hope there is a spin-off. I really thought that Lani’s ending would be different but 🤷🏽‍♀️. I really need to know what happens with Lani’s love life. True was ❤️. Dalon got exactly what was coming to him. He had a good girl. One big mess up was a LIFE 😜 lesson for him. Definitely a 5 ⭐️ page turner.

True Love!

True is every women's dream! Someone who's willing to put you back together after you've been broken. I am sad to see it and but it's definitely worth the read. Hopefully we get to hear more about N'keal. I didn't care for Kalani too much but we all have that one judgmental family member. Hopefully she gets her life together!

This was everything!!

Nikki you never disappoint me. Dalon was a idiot and got what he deserved. I love True and K'Neal. Lani needs to stop acting so stuck up because K'Neal is gonna get a chick and she most definitely gonna be pissed, I hope it's not to late. Can't wait for their story.

Awesome Book

I loved this book and True is the definition of a real man. The way that help Kalari heal from the pain she was going through touch my heart. Now for Kalani she needs to woke up and realize that she missing out on true love with N'Keal I would love to read their story. Awesome job!

Amazing Read

Kalari meeting True in the lounge that night was definitely fate for them both. True helped her heal and learn the true definition of love. Dalon received karma for everything he did to everyone. Kalani will have to learn to look past her fairytale or she will forever be lonely because N'Keal really loves her. I hope there's a story about them! Great read.

Great book

I loved this book.. True is babe for real that man did not let RiRi turn him away he was there for her every step of the way. Dalon was no good for her and that Aria didn’t know who the father was, I’m glad that Dalon messed up so RiRi could find her happily ever after. Great book didn’t expect anything less.

Standalone

This was great I so loved how the relationship between Kalari(not sure if I spelled the name right) and Truth progressed. Dalon was a damn fool how he expected her to forgive him was stupid of him. I felt a little sorry for Dana she got sex and love confused. I would like to read more about Kalani and N'Keal. Excellent read

Bad Boy's ❤

Lani needs help. How can she put N'Keal down when her Father used to do the same. Dana and Dalon got what they deserved. I was hoping Karma would do the same for Aria. True is BAE all day. Kalari got herself a real one. I can't wait until Lani's book to come out.

As always well written Nikki. True was definitely in love with Laira. Aria was a gold digging mess, she wants everyone man instead of finding her own. Who needs friends like Mae i would of kicked her butt.
