Saree is trapped. On the verge of destruction, Hal sacrificed himself so Saree could escape on Lightwave. Then the ransom demand for her best friend Nari arrives and Saree hesitates. The best way for Hal to find Saree—when he escapes—is staying on schedule, onboard Lightwave. But saving Nari from Lightwave’s old enemy means taking crazy risks and tossing all their careful plans into the vacuum.
When a Gov Human military rescue team arrives, they seem like the perfect answer. But Lightwave’s crew and the rescue team immediately clash, fighting for control. Saree seizes command, forcing them to work together, but her lack of experience and incompetence alienates everyone. As the ancient adage says, “Bad leaders with good intentions fold into black holes.” Can Saree and Lightwave’s crew survive to rescue Nari and Hal, or will freedom tick away forever? Find out in Lightwave: Circini Search today!

Like the series BUT the things I don't like are truly getting annoying, specifically the lack of character development for much of the Lightwave crew, especially the Captain and Kathryn. The constant repetition of the Scholar isn't family, she forced us into this blah blah blah blah ... move the F on.
I thought finally Ruhger was finally maturing but nope we seem to have had a glimmer of hope only to stay stuck in the mud.
This one had some really long draw out military exercises that could have flowed better and faster
If you are reading reviews for this book trying to decide if you want to continue with this series, my recommendation is yes, keep going. I'm writing this review after finishing the series, so without spoilers, I will say that this book introduces a number of characters and events important to the rest of the series. In particular, we readers get our first real clues about the nature of *timespace^.
Lightwave Circini Search is more of an exciting sci-fi adventure story. Lots and lots of action but not much substance. The series characters are not growing or developing deeper relationships nor is the main plot moving forward. New threads and questions have been added with little to no resolution of previously existing dilemmas. If you like space battles and space station fights with fancy spaceship piloting, you’ll like this book!
While I am trying to read the series...the last book and this one in my humble opinion....are rather dry. And the story dragged and became so convoluted...like the total plot objective was lost on me. This feels like there were a lot of cooks in the kitchen....not pure AM Scott
There is new trouble every few chapters, then they deal with and nothing goes to plan. I like a few of the characters, so there is that. The troubles are each different but typically military-ish or political, sometimes personal, or the personal troubles don't seem to end, but pop up occasionally. The series is good, although I am beginning to wonder if the basics could be told with few books and less repetition.
