She’d been unexpected.
A path I hadn’t thought I’d take.
But once she was on my radar, there was no turning back.

Being deceptive was part of my job as a DEA agent, but I’d learned how to deceive people a long time before that.

I’d been deep undercover for nine months.
Nine months away from the self-made family I’d been accepted into.
Nine months of losing myself in a world I’d grown up in.
Nine months of forgetting who I was.

But all it took was one action to springboard me back into the real world.

Belle wasn’t meant to walk into the club of a cartel boss. She wasn’t meant to fall into my arms—literally.
But there she was, the girl I’d known since she took her first breath. The girl who had grown into a woman people couldn’t take their eyes off.

I thought I was doing the right thing.
I thought I was protecting her from the evil surrounding us.
I thought kissing her and getting her out of there was the only option to keep her safe.

It didn’t matter that her lips pressed against mine roared a fire to life within me.
It didn’t matter that there was a twenty-two year age gap.
It didn’t matter that she was my bosses daughter.
All that mattered was that she was safe.

Until she wasn’t.

I vowed to protect her with my life.
I promised she wouldn’t get hurt.
But I hadn’t factored her feelings into it.

Belle was forbidden fruit I hadn’t been able to resist, and now there was no going back.

Bonds weren’t meant to be broken, but ours had been torn apart irrecoverably.

FIVE BIG STARS for Belle and Ford 💛💖💛💖!!!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I love to read age-gap romance from time to time but usually, they are good but nothing special to get from me "Wow" effect, but there are also books that surprised me and I love them from the bottom of my heart.

And that is "Easton Family Saga" by Abigail Davies.

Those books are AMAZING!!!

I fell in love with them and every new duet is better and better.

Abigail is definitely my favorite age-gap romance writer and I'll never get enough of her books.

"Torn Bond" is an age-gap and suspense romance with the mafia and forbidden love trope.

This book was a total surprise because of the part which scared me and it also made me really sad because I didn't expect that something like that will happen (who have read the book will know what I'm talking about).

No matter of that unexpected part, I really enjoyed reading this book and the connection between Belle and Ford is so special that I can't see it wrong, even there is the age difference between them.

The wrong is never felt so right.

I loved both of the main characters but I also still can't stop loving the other characters with whom I fell in love with previous books of this saga.

The end of this book totally broke me and I'm still hoping that everything will be okay because I want to see Belle and Ford's HEA 😭😭😭.

I will not accept anything else 😜!

If you love reading age-gap romance, you MUST READ not just this duet, you NEED TO READ the whole series!!!

P.S. I need a "Tied Bond" right now!!!

Argh! This book was so, so good until the author dropped not one, but TWO tropes that I hate at the end of the book! One of them I could have handled, and I was kind of expecting it, but the other one makes me grumble. (And both of them put together makes me growl)

This is a cute book, and the romance is solid, though I haven’t been feeling Belle and Ford as strongly as I felt Aria and Cade in the other duet I just finished by this author. There are a lot of suspense elements, given that Ford works for the DEA and Belle may be a target by the cartel, which makes up for this lack of connection I felt. I was also hoping for a little more sneaking around and keeping the relationship a secret in this book. (Again, highlight of the Aria and Cade duet was when everyone finds out they’re a couple. Live for those dramatic fight scenes LOL) Given the plot twists, not sure if this will happen in the second book or not.
I’m hoping that at least one of the tropes is resolved quickly in the second book, because I do love this world that the author has created. That said, I’m starting to become intrigued by Asher, and I’m looking forward to his duet.

Fucking Hell...

I had to make myself take a breather before writing my review for this emotional bulldozer. And that is exactly what this book was, an emotional bulldozer. I thought that Lola's duet was an emotional ride, then came Cade's duet and Davies upped the anti. Well this was all true till I got the first part in Ford and Belle's duet. Davies definitely started this duet off way above the others.

Ford. mother Fucking Ford. I have been wanting Ford to get his own story since meeting him in the Fallen Duet. And let's just say the wait for his story was well worth the wait. You were able to see the many layers that makes up the man that is Mother Fucking Ford.

Belle is the only one that can bring Ford to his knees. But, she's also the one person that he should keep his distance from. Not only because of Belle's age, but because she's Baby Belle, the daughter of his boss/friend and Lola.

The first part of the Bonded Duet had everything needed...
1. Age-gap
2. Forbidden romance
3. Heart racing emotional story
4. Gut wrenching moments
5. Off the charts angst
6. Mother Fucking Ford
7. Did I mention angst to the 10th level
8. Suspense that will keep you guessing
9. A Lovable Asshole that steals your heart
And
10. A cliffhanger that leaves me going thru withdrawals till the conclusion is in my hands.

I am saying this now, this book, and I predict the conclusion, is going to be on the top of my Top Reads List for this year. It's not everyday that a book has me reeling emotionally. And this one definitely did. And if you are reading this review before this book is released, I highly recommend that you read the Fallen Duet and then the Fated Duet so that you get the full force that is the man named Ford.

Five plus stars for you Davies. Five plus fucking stars .

This is without a doubt going to be a top read of 2020.
I have loved every book in the Easton Family duets. I went into this book expecting that I would love it. Then I started reading it and with every page I loved it way more than I expected. I never thought anyone would be my favorite except Brody and Lola but these 2 changes my view on that.

Ford was the perfect alpha hero with his bossy and protective ways and the banter between him and Belle made for a little fun mixed with the heaviness. The chemistry between these 2 was hot enough to melt my kindle before they ever touched. It's one of those books that when you read the last page you still find yourself thinking about the characters days and weeks after you finish.

As always with Abi's books it leaves you satisfied that you just spent hours inside this amazing other world but you want more of that you don't want to say goodbye and go back to real life.

What a beginning to the start of what I can already feel is going to be a fantastic duet. We met Belle in previous books but she's all grown up and I've fallen in love with her. She's wants independence but is struggling with her family. Wrong place at the wrong time put her in a sticky situation. We get to know our hero Ford, whom we've also met previously, a lot more as well. He's alpha but we really get to see his soft side, his steamy side, but also his stubborn side.

This story was addictive and a page turner. It had lots of angst, action, drama but also sweetness and steam in it. Complete 5 star, not to be missed, and I'm dying for book two!!

I’ve been hooked on the Easton family since Brody and Lola, I suggest you start there so you can feel the full effects of these characters.

Belle has loved Ford her whole life, but was unattainable for obvious reasons, Belle showed up at a night club with Friends, where Ford was working undercover unbeknownst to her, but then fate intervene and the sparks fly after the kiss that started it all, there’s no denying the chemistry these two have.

Ford has always known Belle was special to him, but until now he didn’t realize how much he wants to be with her until he had to go back to work which means undercover again, his work always pulls him away and he doesn’t want her to pulled in to his crazy life. When Ford’s work comes face to face with Belle and her safety comes into question. He’s makes the decision to walk away, he’d rather her be safe than think of his own happiness.

Will their love be enough to pull them through the troubled water ahead?! This book will have you craving the next page, and you will think of Belle and Ford long after you put the book down!

What the what?!?! Okay, so I’ve read all of the books in this series thus far (hint: start with Lola and Brody’s duet for maximum knowledge of this world and because you should feel the same angst I have), but Ford and Belle BLEW ME AWAY. Belle has loved Ford her entire life, but Ford has been unattainable, for some obvious reasons. When fate intervenes and thrusts them together, the sparks fly. The sparks that Ford is trying desperately to ignore. And then they catch and start a raging fire between Belle and Ford that simply will not be extinguished. But then the unthinkable happens when Ford is forced to return to “normal” life as he knew it pre-Belle. And now, Belle is floundering. What happens next???? I DON’T KNOW, and I have to be patient and wait for the conclusion of the duet to find out! All I know for certain is that I’m hooked and I just have to wait to find out.

Every duet in this series has been amazing and you wonder if Abigail Davies can keep delivering such gripping storylines, YES!! is the answer.

Torn Bond: Belle & Ford's story was the one I was waiting for the age gap, the fact he works alongside her father, just a few reasons why they shouldn't be together, but the heart craves for it's soul mate and Belle is all grown and Ford see's her for the women she is. I loved seeing a new side to both of them and the bond and love pours throughout this story.

Of course this is not a hearts & flowers romance, Ford is on a job working undercover, Belle is caught up in the drama and the story that unfolds is emotional, loving, heartfelt and devastating

Belle is ready to embrace the freedom of the college experience and what better way than to go to a club with a few of her friends. Too bad she didn’t know the club was linked to the cartel or that the man she has been attracted to since she was a teenager would be there on an undercover assignment.

When Ford reunites with Belle he soon realizes she is no longer the child he remembers. She is strictly hands off but when she attracts the attention of the wrong man all bets are off.

Hot chemistry, intrigue and all the feels lead up to a cliffhanger that leaves you wondering what the future has in store for Belle and Ford.

Omg!

Torn Bond is the first book in the Bonded duet and third duet the Easton Family saga by Abigail Davies.

Torn Bond is about Belle, the daughter from Brody and Lola from the Fallen duet and Ford, who we met in the Fallen duet. Ford is undercover with a cartel when Belle walks into him, literally, in a club that belongs to the cartel. He thought he was doing the right thing by kissing her and get her out there to keep her safe. But it didn't work out that way.

I loved this book! The story was amazing. I loved Ford and Belle. I NEED the second book like yesterday!

I was introduced to Belle and Ford back in the Fated Duet which was 12 years prior to this duet. I was excited to read about their story and knowing they had a bond in the previous stories made it all the more exciting.

Belle is 20, Ford is 42, and they’ve known each other all of Belle’s life since Belle’s Dad, Brody, is Ford’s boss and has been since before Belle was born. Belle has always loved being around Ford, and obviously it was a different type of bond when she was a child, but it grew and evolved as she got older.

Ford hadn’t seen Belle for awhile since he was undercover, and Belle happened to come to the club where Ford was undercover trying to apprehend a cartel boss. Belle sees Ford, he tries to get her to leave without blowing his cover and kisses her to try and make the cartel boss not suspicious. But the kiss.... it changed both of them. It affected both of them in a way either of them couldn’t stop thinking about.

”But then, why did it feel so right? Why was it, when my lips pressed against hers, I felt like I was home?”

The boss finds out about Belle and in turn finds out that her Dad is a DEA agent and effectively blows Ford’s cover. Belle is threatened and Ford becomes her bodyguard for awhile. Things heat up between them.

Oh my godddd... I was so into this story. I felt Belle and Ford’s connection and wanted them to be together so bad. With Ford’s POV, I can see his feelings for her and how deep they run. It pulls at my heart strings and makes me want to squeal out loud like a little girl.

This ended on a huge cliffhanger and now I’ll be continuing onto the second book of the duet. I can’t wait to read more.

Review by Jen Skewes

I have loved this series from the very beginning. It seems with each new duet in this series, Ms. Davies seems to step up her game. I could not wait for Ford's book, because well, he is Ford. Need I say more. But the one thing I guess I did not expect is the woman that would capture his heart. While I should have known, it wa a pleasant surprise for me. Honestly I wonder if this was something I should ave known and I have been living under a rock. Bet regardless, Ford and Belle's story was everything that I love and expect from Abigail Davies and then some.

Belle has ben in love with Ford for her whole life. But he is completely off limits. For one he is twice her age, plus not only does he work for her father, Brody, but they are very close friends. Up until a few years ago he was "Uncle Ford." So it seems weird right for these two to be together? Actually it was quite the opposite. Everything about the two of them felt so right.

Belle is away at school when she got to a club with her friends and runs into Ford. This is such a big mistake. For one she has no business being at a club like that, but mainly because Ford is also undercover right now and seeing Belle could completely blow his cover. When her life at school and Ford's undercover work collides, things start to get dangerous. Brody wants Ford to stay with Belle and protect her until it is all over. But Brody has no idea wha these two have been up to. Protecting Belle just brings them closer together. Belle has always had a special place in his heart but it wasn't until just recently that he sees her in a different light. She is the one woman who can bring him to his knees. He knows that he should stay away but it's easier said that done. He is drawn to her and cannot deny his feelings for her. But at some point Ford will go back home. What happens then?

I loved this book just as much as the first two. Ford and Belle are so good together. The banter between the two of them coupled with the fun and sexy times made for a lighter side of this story. But this book was not all fun and laughter. There are emotional moments as well, some that will shock you, some that will toy with your emotions. And then there is the end!!! Abigail Davies right now I am not happy with you!!!! lol. This is a duet so we all know that it ends with a cliffhanger, but that was not what I expected at all. At that my moment my heart was in my throat and brain was trying to cope with the fact of not only what happened but that I would have to wait to see what happened next! I have my suspicions, but will patiently wait for the second book to find out.

If you have not read this seres, I highly recommend that you start. You do not have to read the other books in this series first but it certainly helps to see the history that these characters have. I loved that we still get to see all the supporting characters that we fell in love with, especially Brody and Lola. Ford and Belle were perfect together. They fit like two perfect pieces of a puzzle. Ford is hot and very protective. He's an alpha male who you will fall in love with. I cannot wait for Tied Bond!

Belle Easton has moved away for college and is roommates with Stella whom she grew up with. When the two girls go out with Stella’s boyfried Justin and his best friend Shane to a brand new club, Belle is shocked to run into someone from her past.
Ford has been working undercover to infiltrate the cartel that is run by Eduardo Cruz. Now he has finally gained his trust but when Belle walks into Cruz’s cartel he is torn with trying to stay undercover and getting Belle out of the club as fast as possible.
When Ford kisses Belle to try and protect her everything is at risk when he learns that his boss knows who Belle is, and more importantly who her father is.
How far will Ford go to protect Belle and what will he lose?
This is a great beginning to the duet and I’m looking forward to the next one!
I really liked Belle and I did understand why she needed to live somewhere where she was her own person. I liked her close friendship with Stella but I also was a little shocked at how “free” Belle acted at the club knowing the line of work that her dad was in. I guess I’d assume if I grew knowing the dangers I would be a little more cautious.
Ford was another great character as he was so torn with what he needed to do. He knew he had to protect Belle at all costs but at the same time he was undercover for so long trying to infiltrate the cartel and he didn’t want all of his work to go to waste. The kiss you knew would be the start of something but at the same time I could see why Ford was worried about getting involved with Belle.
The tension between Ford and Belle was through the roof and you knew things were going to happen and they definitely did although both were worried about getting caught!
There were a few events that left me sad and freaking out a little as I was worried about Belle’s safety. I was pretty sure that there was no where that Cruz couldn’t get to no matter where he was.
I was very surprised at the turn of events at the end of the book for Belle as I wasn’t expecting it. I’m still not 100% sure on how I feel about Shane and where his loyalties are.
The very end initially shocked me but I am pretty sure it is all part of a bigger plan – at least I am hoping so!!

This is another age gap relationship with similar plot lines as previous books. The storyline stuck closer to the H/h and had less villain interaction and I think that’s what’s lacking to built up the tension and suspense as the previous books.
I was waiting for FORD’s book and it was good enough but well not quite up to the standards of the previous duets. I wanted so much more and the emotional angsty feelings were fewer and not as explosive. It feels a bit disconnected and not as believable. All the usual past characters are back briefly. I look forward to picking up the conclusion and hope it’s a bit faster pace and delivers heat.

I really think this woman is trying to give me heart failure!!!....talk about an emotional rollercoaster! And then that ending..😱😱!!!

This is Belle and Ford's story...
Belle is Lola & Brody's daughter, (you should go back and start with their duet - brilliant!) and Ford works for Brody as an undercover agent - he's so alpha hotness!!

Belle's in trouble and it's Ford sent to protect her....bring on the twists and the gasps and the horror and the emotions and then drama and trauma and..and...and *breathe* there's everything!

There's a 22year age gap with these two but sometimes you just can't deny a connection which these two most definitely have, they are believable, It's not some young ditzy fawning after an aul dude! It's a genuine connection between two likable people 🥰

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and I am excited for part 2!!!

I voluntarily received an arc from the author and this is my honest review.

Abigail Davies as yet again delivered another masterpiece.
I love all these fated series.
With torn bond Abigail knocked it out the park
And your left wanting more.

I love the chemistry between belle and Ford.
You can feel the love they have for each other.
Belle has loved Ford all her life but never did a thing about it. Until one night.
Ford works a dangerous job and has to go undercover a lot. So he is a way often.
The ending will leave you reeling and at the edge of your seat.
I highly recommend this book.
Really cant wait for the next one.

Abigail Davies happens to be one of my absolute favorite authors.
I so easily connect with so many of the emotions and characters in her stories, and I always get super excited when I find out that she has another book coming out.
Torn Bond was no different. In fact, it may be my favorite of hers so far!

I love that Abigail isn't afraid to take on the "taboo" or "forbidden" aspect in the romance world. Ford and Belle have a significant age difference, and age gap is one of those tropes that I cannot help but love. I loved the suspense, I loved the interactions between Belle and Ford. I loved the protectiveness that Ford demonstrated when it came to Belle. During an undercover investigation, Ford comes face to face with the girl, who is now a woman, that he watched grow from the day she was born. Ford finds himself in a bad situation. His need to keep Belle safe can ruin everything he has worked for. But, she is worth it. After everything they endure, you end the story with not knowing whether their bond will be able to be repaired...or be torn for the rest of their lives.

This addicting romance will have you gripping your kindle, and taking a break from all responsibilities, because you won't be able to put it down. If you are considering it, I say, go for it. Pick this book up, and get lost in an Abigail Davies story!

HOLY OH MY HELL HELL! Yeah, I combined them because Torn Bond was all kinds of crazy & I can't use the f-bomb in it's full glory! Ford & Belle's story is legit going to be the death of me for real, and I don't say that lightly, but seriously. Ford has been UC for a while now, and I've always believed that anyone under cover in world of crime, is going to have some issues no matter how stand up they are in their lives. Obviously, he's good at being deceptive because of his job & all, as being too honest will get you killed, and yes, I know how complicated my review is but I'm trying hard to not get into a whole lot of details to be honest. Belle is the dark horse in Ford's story, as he never saw her coming, and the things which he's feeling, have the potential to make everything explode, and not necessarily in a good way either. Oh this emotional story, still trying to kill me as I'm trying to type this review up because I'm right back there again. I mean, when twists are so insane that I stop dropping f-bombs, well, y'all just have to hit that one click button, because right now, I'm going back to rocking in my corner sucking my thumb as I wait for the conclusion! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Abigail Davies certainly brought everything with Torn Bond.

I've wanted to know more about Ford since first meeting him in the Fallen Duet (start there if you haven't already) and that's exactly what I got - more Ford.

Belle wants her independence and being away at college gives her that, until she stumbles into Ford while he's undercover, which ends in him being her bodyguard. Ford has always been protective of Belle, even more so now when she becomes a person of interest of the guy he's trying to take down.

Belle and Ford's story is everything. It's emotional, it's heart pounding, it's heartbreaking. Their connection and chemistry is off the scale. It's a bond that has been developing for years. A love that should be wrong - age gap, boss's daughter - but nothing can stand in the way of the feelings these two have.
I've followed the Easton's from their very first story. Each one has it's own storyline and for me, they get better with each duet.

It has taken me a couple days to get this wrote. I had to take a break to collect my feelings and put my poor little heart back together. I was in need of tissues. Now I'm eagerly waiting for Tied Bond, thankfully it's only a couple weeks away.

Abigail Davies does it again giving us part one of yet another angsty emotion filled duet that leaves us begging for more!
This time we get the story of Baby Belle who is all grown up and away from home studying....but this doesnt mean she is treated like a grown up..she struggling to fight against the family and find her place as the adult she is.
Ford what can I say about hulking hot brooding Ford?? I've wanted his story since the minute we met him in Brody and Lola's story... hes a dark horse and I've always loved the bond hes had with Belle so when I realised how this story was going to go you can definitely say I was excited for it!!
Abigail manages to find a story and twist it and push the boundaries of taboo but always manages to make it feel right!
This part has left me hanging on desperate to know what's going to come next for these pair!
Would recommend this book and the whole Bond series to everyone!

What a page turner. I literally couldn’t put it down, I couldn’t devour the words quick enough. This book is just amazing. Baby Belle is all grown up and has her sights on Ford. They have always had a connection but now as Belle has grown that connection has gone from innocent to lustful and less than innocent. As Belle finds herself in trouble Ford is the one who has to babysit/protect her and this is when sparks fly. Their chemistry is off the charts and they really do fit well together. They really will steal your heart. As of all these duets Torn Bond finishes on a massive cliffhanger with an ending that leaves you speechless, reeling and needing answers. I’m on tenterhooks waiting for the concluding part.

I was so excited to get back into this book world that I love. This story lived up to my expectations and more. WTH just happened?

Belle and Ford take us on a crazy ride. Plan to not only experience some forbidden love elements but also angst to the nth degree.

Ford is our nummy under cover agent who works with Belle’s dad. Belle is a college student trying to live a life where she isn’t being smothered by her over protective father.

I am dying here. My mind is racing as I try to understand all. My heart is broken by what happens to some of Belle’s tribe. I totally should have expect this from this author. She always destroys me with her cliffhangers and this one is no different.

Ugh when does book two come out? I need it yesterday. Eek.

Ok Happy Reading Everyone.

I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.
What a rollercoaster this book is 🙀🙀 it had me reading well into the early hours, just one more chapter 😁 and then low and behold I'd reached the end of the book wondering how it happened.
This book is edge of the seat, fast paced, romance with cartel thrown in 🙀
Baby Belle is now Woman Belle and Uncle Ford is now just Ford, and both have lustful thoughts about the other, will they act on thoughs thoughts??
Ford is undercover in a cartel and literally bumps into Belle in a nightclub owned by the cartel. This is when the shit hits the fan and puts them both at risk from the said cartel.
What will happen? Well let me tell you there are plenty of twists and turns, and it ends on a dozy of a cliffhanger 😱😱
This is definitely a book I'd recommend but beware it does end on a CLIFFHANGER 💖💖

Belle never expected to see Ford at the club with her friends, knowing he was undercover, or that he would kiss her when they were being watched for her safety, a kiss that she can’t forget or deny the chemistry they both felt.
Ford knew Belle wasn’t a kid anymore, even knowing what he felt he couldn’t go there, she was his boss’s daughter, he’s known her for years and will do anything to protect her.
With Ford being Belle’s bodyguard after Ford denying his feelings, he knows he can’t keep Belle at a distance anymore, and she doesn’t want him too.
It clearly says book one of a duet, so I was expecting a cliff-hanger, but the ending is one you won’t see coming, can’t wait for book two.

Belle and Ford have known each other since she was born. Ford is a DEA agent who is deep undercover but then Belle walks back into his life. He can’t get her out of his mind and she felt the same way but Ford is trying to protect her. Will he be able to continue resisting her?
