Guys like him didn’t want girls like me.
Or did they?

My life was a battle, one which I was losing.
Each moment I struggled to keep everything on lockdown.
And yet all it took was the man with the enticing eyes to draw me out.

He thought he knew my secrets, but he had no idea the pain I felt.
The torture I suffered.
The agony I held deep down inside where no one else could see.

Dancing had been my only savior.
But now he was too.
The marine who knew the deepest part of my soul.
The tattoo artist who turned my black and grey world into full color.
The man fourteen years older than me.

He’d vowed to protect me. To shield me from the evil I encountered.

But there was a dark cloud hanging over us.
One which promised to rain terror.

The battle had turned into a war, and there could only be one winner.

FIVE BURNED AND EMOTIONAL STARS for Elodie and Asher 💖💜!!!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I can't believe that this is the last duet in Easton Family Saga 😭😭😭!

This family is everything!

Their stories are so deep and emotional that you can't read them without feeling like a part of their big and full of love family.

"Fast Burn" is an age-gap romance and forbidden love trope.

Elodie and Asher's story is a little different from the story of Belle and Ford.

There is no mafia and a lot of suspense parts of the book.

This story talks about abuse in a relationship that is well known today but people don't talk about it.

Elodie is a female character who shows that no matter how can life be difficult you can always fight but you don't have to do it on your own because there is always someone who will protect you you just need to ask for their help.

Asher is totally different from what I've imaged he would be but I love his character and his relationship with Belle.

Elodie and Asher's relationship is simple and I love how easy they became from friends to lovers.

And one little thing...

I really love Abigail's cliffhangers 😉!

If you love the previous books from this saga and you also obsessed with the age-gap trope, you NEED to read this duet!!!

Highly recommended!!!

This book! Oh wow, I’m glad I picked up Asher and Elodie’s story. The readers don’t know Elodie prior to going into this book, but she is a well-fleshed out heroine with a dark and angsty backstory. She’s been lying to everyone about different parts of her life, and she has dreams but she’s afraid to hope for them when life has done nothing but let her down. While we do know Asher from the previous books, the last book ended with him being 16 years old, and now he’s 32, an ex-marine, and a tattoo artist who owns his own shop. Both Asher and Elodie have their own trauma and angst, and all the while they can’t help but be drawn to each other.
There are quite a few suspenseful bits in this story, and overall, I loved the way it was executed. There was one little bit that gave me pause, character-wise, on Asher’s end.
One thing I love about all the couples in this series is that it’s almost instalove without actually being instalove. The couples are immediately drawn to each other, and they see something special in each other, but it takes them a little bit of time to fall in love. Quite epic!

How does one really put into words how they feel when something that they read is that soul gripping. Well this is review is me trying to do just that.

Abigail Davies has saved the best duet for last when it came to the Easton's, and Asher's story is the one that is going to grab you and not want to let go. The Fallen duet was the one that I highly enjoyed, The Fated duet was the one that I was just couldn't get enough of, and then The Bonded duet was an emotional bulldozer for me. I didn't know what to expect when it was to come for the first book of the final duet in the Easton Saga. What I got was yet another emotional bulldozer. This one being one that I was left reeling when I got to the last page.

I just had a feeling that Davies' was going to go for the emotional jugular when she was writing Asher's story. I was not let down in the least. There wasn't one thing about the way that his character was developed that I didn't love. The depth of his emotions from being a war veteran was something that I noticed really made him human in my eyes. I just couldn't help but love him. Now Ford is my favorite of the this Saga's alphas but now I think there's a new order to the list:
1. Ford
2. Asher
3. Cade
4. Brody

Elodie was that one female character that you just couldn't help but want to take into your arms so you can protect her. I have always loved that Davies makes her female characters strong in their own way, and they also had their vulnerable side as well. This was why when it came to Elodie I knew that she was going to be that perfect female character that the reader was just going to love. And this is also why my favorite female character list has made a change as well:
1. Lola
2. Aria & Elodie (I just couldn't make up my mind here)
3. Belle

This was a book that had everything that I look for in a book.
1. age- gap
2. strong female character
3. an alpha male character that I just can't help but love
4. angst that will have you wanting to throw your kindle
5. a cliff hanger that will make you hate the author till the next book is released
and
6. a book hang-over that will leave your head reeling

This was Davies' at her best, and now I can't wait to get the next book for this duet. This was definitely a book that I will be re-reading and re-reading. There wasn't one part of this story that didn't have me so engrossed that when I reached that last page I was left speechless. I wish there was a higher rating then 5 stars, because this book deserves all the stars.

Review by Jen Skewes

I always look forward to an Abigail Davies book. I love an ae-gap romance and she knows how to write one like no other. But her books are so much more than that. She knows how to completely wreck you, rip your heart out in a way that you keep coming back from more. But in the end she knows how to put you back together again. But not before leaving you with a cliffhanger of all cliffhangers, keeping you waiting until you find out how it ends. And that is exactly what she did with Fast Burn. I have love every book in this series but I think she tool this one to a whole new level, perhaps saving the best for last.

I don’t really want to give anything away other than this is Asher’s story. It is about 15 years later. After serving in the military, he now owns his own tattoo parlor. He meets
Elodie one now while she is working. There is this instant attraction and connection and after that night he cannot stop thinking about her. There is so much more to this young woman than anyone knows about. He doesn’t care about the age difference, he just knows that he needs to protect her and he wants to spend time with her, but things seem to get in the way.

The relationship between Asher and Elodie is a very slow burn, which I am not always a fan of but this one worked because for one, it never once felt like it dragged on. I was consumed with this book from beginning to end. Also given Elodie’s current situation and all that she has been through, it makes sense that that things between them went a little slower.

Elodie has a story that is completely heartbreaking in so many ways. I loved her and the strength that she shows but I also knew and felt her pain. Asher has his own pain but the way he is there for her and wants to protect her and love and care for her is everything. I lo ed the connection and friendship between her and Leo. It was just perfect and adorable.

This of course ends with a big cliffhanger that is raw and intense but makes you want more. But this wouldn’t be Ms. Davies if it ended any other way. Perfect reason why I love her writing. I cannot wait to see how this all ends.

Abigail Davies always wrecks me with her words, but this book.. This one absolutely ruined me. I received my ARC earlier tonight and I finished it in under two hours; that's how amazing it is. It's intense, heartbreaking, emotional, and that cliffhanger will have you crying all the while begging for more.

I'm not going to give anything away, especially since this is a duet, but just know that once you start you won't be able to stop. The story consumed me.. between the pain that our young heroine, Elodie goes through is so heartbreaking. She is a warrior, and I loved her immediate connection with Asher. They were so perfect for each other, and considering age gaps are one of my all time favorite tropes, I knew I would love this book!

Just be warned; that cliffhanger really is brutal .. I'm just glad we don't have to wait that long for part two!

**This is part one of an interconnected series. It can be read as a standalone, but I encourage you to read the entire series.

***I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!***

~Thoughts~
This is a gut-wrenching story, this is going under omg I did not see that coming and makes you feel. While this author left it at a cliffhanger I was shocked and surprised because it seems I thought I know where the story is heading and bang "plot twist". This author bitch slap me with the most awesome twisted disturbing surreal cliffhanger wanting me to leave more.
~Story~
While this story is gut-wrenching, it does touch on the topic of surviving. Elodie has a hard life, while there are people who are willing to help her, she does not want people helping her out of pity she is immensely independent. She not only works, but she also dances and goes to school, it is understandable not being able to deal with what others think they know about your life. This is a story of a young strong woman facing the world, who does want to have at least some minuscule relationship with her mother. It is clear that her mother does not want any form of connection with Elodie and her mother does not give a damn about her daughter's life.
Asher is a vet who is dealing with his own problems but he falls for Elodie not knowing about any of her life issues but when he discovers her secrets, he not only helps out he starts falling for her because of the strong woman he sees in her. As the story progresses you see what she has to deal with and what she is willing to put up with.
~P.S.~
I want to say this is a life story of how to people with trauma come together in a love story but I also want to say wow! This author's writing pulls you in, the story she has created not only has the factor of the age gap thing but also creates the feelings she is trying to portray. There are instances where you understand where the character is coming from but the emotional pull of what this family feels like.

Yes, the Easton men have a type. Hasn’t changed one bit in the 3 duets I’ve read. This time it’s Asher’s turn finding his underage insta love. This was is a slow burn and took a while to build up. It’s still enjoyable and once you got into the meat of the story you are glued.

Asher meets closed off Elodie at a strip club and instantly is in lust. He’s a loner and former marine who runs his own tattoo shop. Elodie comes from a miserable family and practically has to figure out how to survive and make ends meet while suffering through abusive relationships all around, with only one bright spot to look forward to. Book 1 is mainly Eloise’s story and we get glimpses of Ashers life.

It’s a good day art, the writing is good as usual but lacked a bit of the angsty warmth and character development of previous duets. I was expecting a huge cliffhanger but wish it didn’t go this way. This one ends in a sad state.

Fast Burn is the first book in the Burned duet and the 7th book in the Easton Family saga. It's written by Abigail Davies.

This book was amazing. The story is amazing, but that end.... I need the second book like yesterday (like always with the first books in the duets from the Easton Family saga). I love the Easton family. It's so well written and I can only say start with the Fallen duet and read all 7 because they are amazing. Unfortunately this is the last duet in this amazing saga.

Can't wait for the next book.

Book: Fast Burn
Author: Abigail Davies
Type: Book 1 of Burned Duet; Book 7 of Easton Family Saga
Genre: Contemporary Romance
POV: Dual First Person
Rating: 4 Stars!

"I've learned to live in the moment, Asher. And I want to live in the moment with you."

Hot Marine + Age Gap + Tragic Home Situation ? What more could you ask for?

Fast Burn was just amazing. I loved both the protagonists. Elodie was talented, independent and strong-willed. And Asher was the perfect match for her. They both went through really difficult times and that's what made their connection so beautiful.

"They'd welcomed me into their family without a second thought, and I couldn't help but wonder if it was too good to be true. Were there really people out there like this?"

And that cliffhanger. WTF, Abigail? Why! Why would you leave us like this? Thank Goodness the second book is coming out so soon. Can't wait to see what happens.

I don't even know what to say since I feel like I will need a bit to process all my emotions.

The chemistry between Asher and Elodie started with little sparks that could be felt before they even spoke a single word to each other. Then with just a glance and a few words those sparks were embers burning a little hotter than before.

I don’t even know if there’s enough emojis to express how many emotions I felt while reading this, heartbreak for both for very different reasons and not just once. I was practically giddy when the whole Easton family was in the same room. My heart was fluttery, and I swooned all over the place. I had pains in my chest, butterflies in my stomach, all the feels all over the place.

I desperately need book 2 but I’m also not ready to say goodbye to the Easton clan so my heart is in 2 but I will be counting down the moments until I have book 2.

There was so much I liked about this book and at the same time my heart hurt for Elodie. I want the best for her. I admire her strength, her conviction and her plan to make her life better. Asher checks all my boxes. I wondered how they could meet in the middle each being such strong individuals. This book has some serious themes and scenes so be aware. The last page has me in tears. I'm looking forward to the next book in the duet. I need everything to be ok! I'm scared. Definitely recommend!

I read all the other books in this series and loved them all, so I'm not sure why I missed this duet out! I quickly rectified that once I realised that I hadn't read them and made them my next read! After reading, I can say that I loved this duet just as much as the rest of the series! The plot kept me attention and I wanted to find out what was going to happen next for teh characters! This book only took me a few sittings to read as well because I didn't want to put it down! I loved that there was romance in the plot and the way it developed! I felt like it took a while for the characters to start any sort of relationship and for some sexy scenes to happen, but I loved that the author did it this way! There was also some action and suspense in the plot, which added to it and created a tense atmosphere! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Elodie was the main female character, and in this book my heart completely went out to her because she had a lot going on and I'm not sure how she managed it all! Elodie had school, a job, dance classes, an abusive boyfriend, and a mother that didn't care about her at all! I felt like Elodie tried to look after herself and was scared to ask for help! She did start to realise that she had people that cared about her though! Asher was the main male character and love interest of Elodie! I loved Asher in the other books that he made appearances in and I couldn't wait to learn more about him! I loved Asher in this book! He had done well for himself by owning a business that he had a passion for and he also had a damaged past as well that he still struggled with! I loved the way Asher helped Elodie as well and he was there for her and protective of her! It was also easy to see his feelings for her develop! I loved that this book was written from both Elodie and Asher's point of views! The synopsis gives the impression that it's only going to be written from the female character's point of view, but the other books were written from dual point of view, so I'm happy that this one was too! It helped me connect more with Elodie and Asher and see how they were feeling with what they were going through! It allowed for more things to happen in the plot as well, which helped as both characters spent time apart and were dealing with their own situations! I now can't wait to read the next book in this duet! This book was left at such a sad, emotional ending that I have some ideas as to what's going to happen next, but I can see it being devastating and and very sad! I'm really happy that I waited for the next book to release before starting this book because I'm definitely going to be making it my next read and I can't wait to see how this series is going to end! The cover for this book is also absolutely stunning and I loved it as soon as I saw it! I love how well it matches the gorgeous covers in the full series and the cover models are the perfect Elodie and Asher as well!

Spoiler alert

Fast Burn by Abigail Davies is book one in the Burned Duet, but part of the larger Easton Family Saga series. It is the 4th duet in the Easton Family Saga, and takes place about 15 years after Tied Bond, which is about Belle and Ford (the most recent book in the Easton Family series besides Fast Burn). I liked seeing Belle and Ford in this book and their baby Leo who is now 15 years old. In Fast Burn, Asher is now 32 and was in the marines, but now owns his own tattoo shop. One evening, he is at the welcome back party for his best friend Jax's brother Al, at a strip club, when he sees a stripper dancing. He is immediately attracted to her. Elodie is a dancer and works at the strip club because she lives in a trailer park with her drug-addicted mother. She doesn't have any help and is very independent. They meet a few times at the strip club where they're both attracted to each other. Elodie, who is a senior in high school, is dating Knox, but doesn't like how controlling and dangerous he's become. She makes her first friend, Leo, and starts hanging out with him. Elodie and Asher don't realize that she's Leo's friend or that he's Leo's uncle until after they've already had a number of encounters. They fight their attraction to each other, but Asher helps Elodie when her home life worsens, and they can't deny the pull they have to each other. This was definitely a slow burn romance. There weren't too many actual encounters between Asher and Elodie, and when they did have interaction, it was mostly them just talking or Asher helping Elodie. At the end, there were some steamy scenes and they were more together. Asher was quite the gentleman with Elodie, and I liked how they interacted together. I really liked Elodie and Leo's friendship, and I wished there were more scenes with them together. Elodie and Knox, her abusive boyfriend, were problematic to me. I don't understand how he could have gotten away with some of the things he did. He should have been reported, or Asher or someone should have made sure to keep them away. Some things just didn't feel as if they were realistic in how they handled those situations. I was frustrated that Elodie didn't speak up more about it. I could also see the ending coming from a mile away. After reading the Bonded Duet, I can already sense a pattern in these books. There was the initial meeting of the two characters, the undeniable attraction and pull to each other, the push and pull and struggle of not being together, them getting together, the big scary ending that leaves the book on a cliffhanger. I thought the Bonded Duet had a better cliffhanger ending than Fast Burn, but neither had the best cliffhanger. I did think the writing was fine and the cast of characters was good. Overall, I am excited for the conclusion to this book, but it was lacking in a few places for me.

😲 !!!

Although this is Book 1 in a new duet, it is part of The Easton Family Saga so if your like me and like to everything about everyone, then go back and start with Free Fall - I have loved every single one 💕

Back to this!...We have Asher and Elodie, Asher is the son of Lola (from Free Fall!) who was a Marine but is now home and settling in, determined to make his tattoo shop work and is quite a few years older; and Elodie is a newbie to the series and I honestly wish I could go help her! She has it tough, like really tough but jees she is so strong! She doesn't expect handouts, she works for everything she needs, she keeps everything bottled up, she's just a good girl who really needs a break - and a friend!

Things happen which I'm not going to talk about lol, but I will say that from the moment I started this book, I was completely lost in it!
Abigail had me instantly attached to the characters, I sooo wanted to help Elodie and most definitely get to know Asher better 😘 I liked the actual storyline, I love that it's not an insta-love story, yes there's insta-attraction but they don't instantly jump into bed and live happily ever after!

I'm afraid I'm going to leave my review at that because I can't write anything else apart from I loved it!
Although please note - Abigail loves to leave us with a cliff hanger 😱 (my poor poor heart!) but thankfully it's not long until the next one is released!! #Phew ! 4.5

I voluntarily received an arc from the author and this is my honest review.

A must read for those who love a great Age-Gap romance.
When you love a certain genre like age-gap romances, you tend to find they get a bit repetitive. When it comes to Fast Burn, I can definitely say I have not read one like this before. It was an amazing must read story! Without going into spoilers, we have a strong female heroine, Elodie, and a equally heart melting hero, Asher. Their love story was so organically written it never felt rushed and truly made you feel connected to each character. The writing style is clean, and flows so nicely that you don’t find yourself reading a section just to understand what is going on. You truly feel like you are part of their world, experiencing each struggle, the little moment of happiness and shouting out “How much more can one person take!” If Elodie and Asher weren’t enough, Leo will steal your heart. I will be very disappointed if we do not get his story eventually. I love him and he was that extra something that really put the story over the top. My only warning is be ready to be counting down the days till part 2 comes out. Because while Aria and Cade part 1 ending in Defy Fate broke my heart, Elodie’s and Asher’s destroyed it.

WOW JUST WOW

Ok where to start I’m struggling for words, the word that come to mind is WOW just WOW Abigail Davies is new Author to me and what a ride this book gave me,
This book is a Fast Burn but slow burn romance, Forbidden Love, Older Guy, Younger Woman.
Full of pure raw emotions and heart breaking for both Asher and Elodie they both have demons and both are trying to get to a better place.
Elodie is such a strong young woman, who goes through so much at a young age but she never let affect her.
Asher is the Strong man who came home with some many dark secrets and is just trying to survive each day, until he meet Elodie and all he want to do is help her and protect her. I just wanted to hold Elodie and tell her she not alone, but to see the difference in her between when she didn’t have anyone to when she has Asher and Leo in her corner is so fantastic the way she started to stop hiding herself was incredible.
The ending had me in tears and I couldn’t get book 2 so quickly in my life the way she had us hanging like that was so cruel thank god that book 2 is out.
This book will leave you wanting more. Recommend to anyone and everyone as it's a must read!!
Thanks Abigail what a ride this was.

Well, that was quite the ride, how does one put into words after they read something so soul grippingly deep as Asher and Elodie’s story and it only the beginning!

Oh before I get into what I loved, I need to say Knox is a douche and karma will get him!! 😉

Surviving, that is all Elodie knows she is such a bada** little warrior, her strength will pull you in from the beginning and make you wanna fight right along side of her. She feels that her life is what is gonna be that is until she meets and sexy guy with dark eyes that sets her body on fire!

Asher has his demons being a survivor of war he is haunted by those events daily. But like most veterans he puts on a brave face and locks down all his emotions, not wanting his family to know how damaged he really is. Asher goes through everyday life with the feeling something or someone is missing, until he meets her.. the sexy little dancer that completely consumes all this thoughts.

This whole Easton series is absolutely amazing and Asher’s story is turning out to be just as amazing!!

I need more. I need to know that justice will be meted out. I need Elodie to get her puzzle piece back. I need Asher and Jax to NOT get in trouble when they find out what’s going on. I. Need. The. Rest!

That said, Elodie and Asher and the beginning of their story took me on one heck of a ride. Elodie is far too young to feel so old, Asher is far too together to feel broken inside, but together they just fit perfectly. Elodie just needs to get through the next nine or so months and then she will finally be completely free of the rope named Knox. And with Asher by her side to help her stand on her own, she is more than happy to do so. As for Asher, he knows he’s falling deep for the woman with so many layers to her. And he’s fine with that because Elodie makes him feel whole and useful and closer to fine than he’s been in a long time.

I can’t wait to find out how this all ends because that ending just destroyed me. Now I shall bite my nails and wait for the second half of their duet.

Abigail Davies is a age gap writing GENIUS!!! I'm not sure what she does when she writes a book but she always manages to give us a story that grips us into her drama filled words.
This time it's Ashers story... and I can admit that these Easton men just leave me with goosebumps and begging for more! I cant decide which 3 of them I'd pick Brody Cade or Asher...yummy!
So yes another age gap couple but you cant help but feel that it's the right thing for these guys yet again. ..theres nothing wrong with the age differences at all.
Asher has really grown up since previous books and to see how his journey has gone is not what you would be thinking for him.. but it's even better!
I just want to give Elodie a hug but to see the difference in her when she has Leo and Asher in her corner is unreal.. she starts to be herself and realise just how great she really is... but that ending is absolutely OMG heart wrenching!!! How can she leave us hanging like that?? We NEED book 2 asap to see where this story goes.
Recommend to anyone everyone and it's a must read!

With each new story, I fall a little more in love with Abigail Davies writing.
I have been following the Easton Family saga since it began, and it has been amazing to see everyone getting their stories!
This was no different with Elodie and Asher.

Fast Burn is about two somewhat lost characters. Asher is haunted by his past in the military, and Christina had to start working in a world where she really was never meant to fit into.
I loved the strength that these two showed, and I also LOVED the forbidden aspect.
Age Gap is one of my top favorite trope's to read, and Abigail keeps bringing it and proving just how well she can dabble in the world of forbidden.

If you are a love of forbidden romance/Age Gap...etc, I highly recommend that you pick up the first book in this duet. The cliffhanger is crazy, but, I can promise you, this story is so good, that even if you hate cliffhangers, you should pick it up anyway. You will be happy to wait for when book 2 is ready to release. Abigail grabbed and held my attention all over again, and I am so excited for when book 2 ARC's go out!

This author loves to break us with her characters so I have a love/hate relationship with her and always come back for more. I love her writing because it always has something that nearly brings you to your knees. Her female characters are women who go through hell but come out on top and this time is no different. Her hell started a long time ago, when her father left. Taking care of a drug addicted mom and just trying to make it until graduation she's lived a life in the shadows. Now she's paying the price. He has had his own battle wounds from his tour as a marine. Now visiting the next generation we find the love of a younger woman is something he gets from his dad. But in the same respect she isn't a typical young lady, life has made her far wiser than her age. A great read that will emotionally drain you in the best of ways and yeah prepare yourself because this author loves the dark and she will definitely test you before this is done. Yes it does end in a cliff hanger but as usual it's more than worth it in the end.

I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.
This book is the latest in the Easton family saga.
This book is Asher' book, and what a first book it is 🙀🙀
It has everything that new love has, ex boyfriends that won't take no for an answer, PTSD, age gap, also people that wouldn't understand 🙀🙀
There's also a friendship between Elodie the love interest, and Leo the nephew 😆
Throw in homelessness, high school and trying to make ends meet. That's all in a day for Elodie, just thinking about it leaves me breathless 😲
Asher has his own demons to chase away but together they seem to forget them and are allowed to just be.
Another brilliantly written book by Abigail Davies, and I really can't wait for the next instalment to see where it takes us 😍😍😍
I'd definitely recommend this book and the whole series as they are all really brilliantly written book's 💞💞💞💞💞

This series is a must, each duet delivers an epic storyline and Fast Burn is Asher and Elodie's gripping romance - Another 5 Star well written book.

Asher who we have met in previous books is now all grown up and like all the Easton's before him is drawn to a younger soul, Elodie is a strong young women who has been living a nightmare and handling it in the best ways she could to make it through the other side.

The friendships built in this book and the love that follows will have you smiling and cheering but don't get too comfortable because tragedy strikes and we are left wondering if the broken pieces can be fixed.

In Fast Burn we also get to catch up with all members of the family, including a new and interesting rescue dog!

Fast Burn, the first book in the final duet of the Easton Family Saga. Again, Abigail Davies broke me.

I got exactly what I expected - amazingly written characters, filled with angst and brokenness. A fantastic story that grips you with the emotional, heartbreaking pull. Then boom, the story twists and hits you hard, especially when you're so invested in these characters. You're left shocked, wondering, wanting more.
Luckily, the final part of the final duet is only a few short weeks away.

I kind of didn't want to start it because once it's over, it's over! I've loved these duets and I don't want them to end. But I went ahead and started and I know I'm going to love this duet as much as the rest.

I feel like my heart could just burst right now. I have so many emotions running through me right now. What an ending! Gahhh....my heart is broken!!

Abigail Davies knows how to give you such a rush while reading. She hooks her claws right into you. Her words spear through your heart. She makes you feel such deep emotions for fictional characters.

Elodie and Ashers story will tear you apart. And I know that she’s going to put all the pieces of my heart back together, soon!

I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this family and every single story gets better and better.

Y’all need this book and this whole series in your life. It’s one of the best age-gap series I’ve ever read.

Highly recommended.

After serving his country Asher has returned home ready for the next stage of his life and ensuring that his new business venture is a success. For someone so young Elodie has a maturity and strength that allows her to handle the difficult hand that life has dealt her.

From the moment they meet they are drawn to each other in a way that neither has felt before and even though she has good people in her life she also bad people in her life. Only time will tell which people will prevail.

The characters will draw you in, the story will captivate you and lets not forget about the emotions that this story raises which all lead up to a cliff hanger that has us wondering how this couple will ever recover from the blow they have been dealt.

In the its Asher’s turn for his story and oh my ... what a story it is. Both Asher and Eloise have a lot of baggage they need to unload. Elaine has gone though the mill and she is going through it when she meets Asher and with each other’s help they work their way through it.. We also get to see the whole Easton clan at the same time and it gave me the shivers.. I’m not going to lie this book isn’t for the faint of heart as it has some sensitive scenes but on the other hand it absolutely has all the feels.... and that ending Oh my poor heart it hurts so much.... I’m so looking forward to the second part.

The Easton Family Saga - just in case you don't know where to start :)

Fallen Duet (Forbidden Angst)
Book 1: Free Fall/ Book 2: Down Fall

Fated Duet (Student/Teacher Angst)
Book 1: Defy Fate/Book 2: Obey Fate

Bonded Duet (Age gap/Forbidden Angst)
Book 1: Torn Bond/Book 2: Tied Bond

Burned Duet (Age Gap/Emotional Angst)
Book 1: Fast Burn/Book 2: Deep Burn

You don't have to read them in order - they are all standalone duets - but since all characters from Easton Family are in all books - and you want to know everything (believe me you do) it's recommended to read them in order. In that way, you can follow our first couple (Lola&Brody) that I just simply adore so so much to the last one.
Don't miss this!
