A very interesting and thorough account of European Integration.

This book was one of my required course options for grad school, but I honestly would’ve picked it up for pleasure reading on the topic of European integration. It was easy to read and contains a reference list of all the used acronyms (extremely helpful!) as well as a timeline of events to help you contextualize the chapters you are reading. Definitely recommend if you’re interested in the subject!

Very interesting and balanced

A very interesting, well written and balanced overview of the development of the EU. The author highlights successes and failures and shows how much of the EU’s development was shaped by outside events and forces as well as by intent.
