Lil Harvest #2

The Mandate

Rate this book
In the beginning, an Incubus was merely a low-ranking demon who fed on the sexual terror he could inflict upon a human being. But that was before one of them got the idea to turn a human with nothing to lose into the perfect demon feeder.

During his first cycle, Kendrick learned to live with what he’d become at the pleasurable hands of the demon Bakzel. He even felt hopeful that he’d learned to balance his humanity against the demon seed growing stronger inside of him. He felt hopeful he’d earned his title as the master of demonic underlings serving him.
But there’s more to being human than retaining the ability to feel empathy toward someone who has hurt you. There’s more to being a master than having the power to veto a decision.

One valuable lesson has yet to be presented to Kendrick. The general rules for demons and how they may interact with humans, the human realm, and stake claim to a territory. That lesson is sprung on Kendrick in an untimely fashion.

*Please note that Lil Harvest is in the genre Horror as it contains the effects of demonic manipulation, and as a result, content in these works may contain graphic scenes of depravity, cruelty, and violence—sexual or otherwise—that could be offensive and potentially triggering to some readers.

SERIES CONTAINS: non-con, dub-con, whipping, fisting, master/slave, voyeurism, power struggle, sensory deprivation, menagé, demons and demonic manipulation, puppy play, extreme sadism, abduction, exhibitionism, slavery, psychological mindfucks, extreme violence, and dystopia settings.

Meraki P. Dark

Meraki P. Dark is, as the last name suggests, the dark side of Meraki P. Lyhne.

Where Meraki P. Lyhne will play with anything from fluffy slow-burns with HEA and go to the border of dub-con, letting his characters deliver a striped ass, Meraki P. Dark will explore the depraved minds during non-con, and he’ll play with whatever fetish catches his attention.

It is the human psyche and its abilities to stretch or break that will be explored to its fullest. There will always be a plot—no one is tortured unless the character finds a good reason for it within the plot. There is room for love and tender moments, too, but they have to work hard for it!

F-ing yes! Now this is what i'm talking about if I want darkness. This is what I need and this book was really good.

I think it wasn't as dark and twisted as the first, but it was still good and loved reading it. Loved all the characters and their decisions, loved Kendrick (who's name was Felix in this cycle) and his both side (demon and human) and loved how he changed into this hotness. And man, how perfect was the fact that he got himself Gabin, his own underling for his pleasure, aww they were so cute! LOL I know this book shouldn't been called cute but come on, Gabin and Felix were cute together! I loved them in the first book too, all the tension between them, and now finally they were together and all the pages were in flames, they were so hot!

And Tristan! Aww why?! Why give me someone to love and then take him away? Just whyyyyy. All the same as the first book. Kendrick get a human to love, and I get him to love too, and the end of the book, just hush - everything is over and i'm crying.

You know someone who cries over a dark book? Over a dark horror erotica? That's me!

And and and I almost forgot! Bakzel! Aww that demon! How hot Bakzel and Kendrick together are! Holy hotness.

LOVE this series! Love all the details and all the characters, the storytelling and the darkness. Perfect!

They're Backkkk!!!

Kendrick and the Underlings are back. Only this time they are on a lovely vineyard in France and Kendrick has changed his name to Felix. His underlings have new names too, save a couple, since they have taken on new host bodies.

Felix has grown close to the Underlings, and as such, they are like his very own family, rather than servants, or demons sent to teach and look out for him and his welfare.

As with the first book, Felix only takes rapists to live in his dungeon. They are the only ones who can feed his incubus side.

This book offers up many trials and tribulations for Felix and his underling family. A feud with another demon and his horde brings strife to Felix's door.

Felix also finds out what it means to "mess up" and require punishment after an incident with one of his mutts.

As problem after problem is dealt with, at the vineyard, it isn't long before fear and superstition among the vineyard workers bring the church's clergy knocking. The only thing left is to flee France.

I loved this second story as much as the first. Often it is hard for sequels to maintain the momentum of a first book in a series, but this one stayed hard and drove fast (pun totally intended) the whole way and then some. There was no lag as each page filled my senses with the demonic depravity I craved.

The reader gets to experience more of Felix's human side too, the one that feels emotions like love and compassion.

Mandate holds elements of gothic romance in some of the scenes, even though not something to be recognized until the 1760's and beyond (our story takes place a century earlier). During the intimate scenes I was able to feel the relationships between Felix and Willow (underling wife), and Gabin (underling right hand) reach another level beyond "Master/ servant" and the relationship with he and Tristan was out of body experience love worthy. *swoon...

For anyone who loves dark, Erotic Horror, this series is for you! I am not ashamed to say I wish there were beings like this whose only purpose was to inflict the same justice on rapists that they had inflicted on others.

***As I stated in my review of book #1, I am a survivor, not a victim, of a gang rape and the brutality heaped on the rapists in these books has actually been amazing in silencing demons that have raged in my soul for nearly thirty five years. So again, I thank you Meraki, for creating this series. Even if it doesn't touch another living soul, know it has helped slay a few of my demons. 💖

**Mind the trigger warnings!!!! Not for the faint of heart!

**This is a BANNED BOOK and has been removed from all major retailers including Amazon! The only bookseller bold enough to carry it is SMASHWORDS

**While I bought books #2 & #3 when Smashwords had them on sale, the author also graciously gifted me with ARC copies of the series prior to that, in exchange for an honest review.

I think I'm more heartbroken after this story than anything else. I hope Tristan won't be the last time our incubus finds someone like that. I liked the progression with seeing more of the demonic world again and I'm very much looking forward to seeing what they get up to in the next cycle.

This book was given to me as an ARC, all opinions are my own.

The sequel of the Lil Harvest series wasn't dark in the same manner as the first. It showed the growth of the Incubus and his underlings, their flourishing friendships and the human side's new romantic interest.
Even as the Incubus grows stronger there is a set balance with his human side, which have manage to uphold. Though I'm curious if it will continue as the cycles go on.

As an added side note, Kendrick and Bakzel is adorable together, and that seems strange to say, but there is so much care between them that it's too little of them. I love how Bakzel dotes over his pet.

After two books now I do want the third to jump ahead in time, and eventually show them in present time, where feeding grounds would be overflowing and the kink scene opening up several options.

Pay attention to the trigger warnings on these books. For real, ya’ll!

For me it crosses over the line of where I am comfortable with darkness. That’s not a fault in the book, just my personal preferences. To really enjoy this much dark, I need either some light/love or humor to balance it for me. ‘Kendrick’ does develop relationships with his servants, which do add some humor and some sense of love and connection that helps make some balance. If you just like the dark stuff and don’t need the other, you will love this!

Pros:
Well written with enough plotting and development to make it fun to read.
Good sequel – similar quality to the first book.
Relationships grow between the continuing characters.
Creative use of implements of sexual and other physical torture.
Reasoning behind the abuse/violation continues to be the only thing that saves this for me.
MC struggles with human/demon balance, bringing both angst and some light.

Cons:
If you need some feel good or redemption to find balance in your dark read, there isn’t much.
Some editing errors could still be corrected (not too bothersome).

OH! MY! FREAKING! GOD! I thought The Endowment was one hell of a dark, raw, gritty, intense, fantastic, gripping, wild, crazy, naughty, keep-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat, read-with-the-lights-on, nail biting, enthralling, amazing, forbidding, and totally tale thrill ride, but this marvelous masterpiece blows right past it, and leaves it in the dust. PLEASE pay attention to the trigger warnings, because they're definitely needed. I was hooked from the very first page, and ended up with a massive book hangover because I just could NOT put it down. If you love taking a walk on the wild side, then this book is DEFINITELY for you!

OH MY GOD!
I am really surprised over my likings for this book. It's still dark, but somehow this book has a significant better drive, and also a lighter scheme over it. Kendrick or Feli, as he is known as in this book, has grown on me. i understand him much better, and when he falls in love, yes he DOES, with Gabin's hos's little brother, OMG the joy of reading them together.
The drive of this book is a bit faster as well because we get to see more action with some 'other' demons invading...
I admt, Meraki made me love this Dark side, and now I need more.

Are you ready to return to Kendrick's world where evil seems to rule? This newest addition brings readers another look into this dark world. Kendrick has gone through many changes but he is still struggling to accept and figure out just what and who he is. Once again readers are along for the ride as Kendrick learns valuable lessons while he fights to survive. His story continues to be dark and an intense read. I am enjoying Kendrick's adventures and cannot wait to see what else is in store for him.

Another great add to the series. Kendrick and Bakzel are in for another twisted story. This is the perfect fit for my dark horror reading! With this Universe being so unique it grabs me right from the start. I love how much Kendrick has changed since we first met him; through struggles comes acceptance. More intense! New beginnings ans more of what you loved from the first book! Can't wait for the next. I voluntarily reviewed an 'Advance Author’s Copy' of this book.

Dark, Darker, Meraki P. Dark ;)
The same I wrote for the first book goes for this second. Very dark and cruel, in some scenes almost too much for me, but nevertheless extremly captivating and addicting. Although sometimes I wanted to stop, I just couldn't put the book down ;)
Like always with this author, beware of the trigger warnings and if they don't affect you, buggle in for a ride through hell and back

A great continuation to this dark series.
Kendrick begins to understand more and develop more fully as an incubus.
He struggles and suffers hardships but those only serve to strengthen him.
He also falls in love and there is also drama and action with another faction of demons.
Again, please heed the warnings, these books are not for the feint of heart.

Still dark, but somehow lighter than the first book.
Pay attention to the authors trigger warnings. They are there for a reason.
You get a better understanding of the MC, and you see him fall in love.
I cannot wait for the next book.

Dark.. Really dark!!! This is the continuation of Kendriks' story first started in Lil Harvest. We meet old friends with new faces but the fundamental story is still dark and seriously twisted. Had me hooked from the start.

Another sadistic ride with Kendrick. More secure in his position, he now has his own servants. Learning to live with his new reality and love. Another read I could not put down! I have enjoyed stepping into his life and watching as he grows!

This book was a little too dark for me. However, it was very well written and the characters were interesting. Just make sure you read the triggers in the beginning so you won’t be surprised
