Love in LA #2

Irresistible

Rate this book

I only have one rule when it comes to men: don't fall in love.

And it's never been a problem before. Then again, I'd never met Hunter.
He's younger. Successful. And he's the first man who understands me, sees me.

He's also my client, and the key to winning a prestigious home design contest.

But there's so much more at stake than my career.

Now I have to decide which is scarier--losing the prize or my heart.

Jenna Hartley is USA Today bestselling author who writes forbidden romance that feels good, much like her own real life love story. Her stories feature strong women and swoon-worthy men, as well as sexy, sweet, and laughable moments that reflect real love.

When she's not reading or writing romance, Jenna can be found tending to her growing indoor plant collection (pun intended), decluttering (just ask her husband about "The Great Purge of 2015" as he calls it), and hiking. She lives in Texas with her family and loves nothing more than a good book and good chocolate, except maybe a dance party with her husband and daughter.

You know that saying “What’s your kink is not my kink”? This book is my kink and trust me it’s your kink, it’s everybody’s kink. Why you ask? Well the obvious answer is because it’s an incredibly well written contemporary romance book, but ultimately it’s because it’s so much more than that.

Hunter and Lauren are two highly successful, driven, people. They are both sexual creatures and they own their sexuality. However, life is all about learning and growing and both find themselves rethinking some of their life choices. It is at this precise moment that their worlds collide.

How can two such similar people NOT be attracted to one another? The answer is simple - they are and it’s hot and it’s exactly what great romance books are made of. Hunter and Lauren try and fail to resist each other, but the heart and sex organs, want what they want, and these two want each other.

In this book, Jenna Hartley takes you on an incredibile journey as you watch two imperfect people fit perfectly together and prove that love is irresistible. TBR this fantastic book And if you haven’t read “Unexpected” TBR that as well. (I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.)

I liked this one, let's sum it up quickly though.

What was hot:

🔥 Lauren and Hunter's chemistry

🔥 age difference romance where h is older than H - it just hits differently

🔥 how Lauren was even more commitment-phobic than Hunter, it's always refreshing and I live for commitment-phobic women in romance lit

🔥 how Lauren unapologetically enjoys sex and no-strings-attached sex - I LOVE when female characters have a good, satisfying sex life before meeting their LI, and not only learn what an orgasm is because of hero's magic D

🔥 If it feels like I focused on all things sex in the pros columns, welp, I did, but it was just a really sex-positive story imo

What was not:

🥶 that drama at the end - Hunter, I liked you, but you're an idiot *facepalm*

🥶 both Hunter's and Lauren's father got a total last-minute characterization makeover and that seemed lazy to me - like sure, most of times there are multiple layers to familial relationships but sometimes shit parents are shit parents and you have to actually put in work to deal with that

All in all, this is my fav from this series so far, mostly because both Lauren and Hunter are my favs xD

▪▪▪ I was done playing games. I liked winning, and I was used to getting what I wanted, when I wanted it. and I wanted this woman ▪▪▪

Lauren is a successful independent woman who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it. She is a career driven, strong, sexy, fierce woman who is not looking for a serious relationship but loves indulging in fun no strings attached sex

Hunter has always loved women, he just doesnt fall in love with them. After a bad hookup as well as trust issues based on women only wanting him for his wealth and name he becomes very picky on who he lets in his bed. A chance meeting with a sassy, confident and gorgeous woman leaves him with not being able to keep her off his mind

No lies▪No feelings▪Just sex▪ easy right?

Yet again Jenna Hartley has delivered another beautiful, bold and female postive book that I devoured and could not put down. I loved both of these characters especially Lauren. She was powerful, in control, stong minded but also vaulnerble. The sexual tension and chemistry between Lauren and Hunter was everything 🔥🔥🔥. They both made me laugh and smile. I hurt for them and with them but in the end my heart was left feeling content and full. Ugh that ending so very perfect and so very fitting for these two.

I love Jenna's writting style and can not wait for more books by her 😍💙

I had HIGH, and I mean HIGH expectations for this book. I counted down the days until the ARC showed up on my kindle.

After reading “Unexpected” and “Perspective” I was already obsessed with the way Jenna was able to tell a story.

Well needless to say this was irresistibly magnificent!

From PAGE 1 was addicted. I was like an addict looking for my next high, turning the pages as quickly as I could, but also savoring every word.

I needed it. The words, the story, the hope that these two would live happily ever after.

I felt it all. The lust, passion, the heartbreak. But more so I wanted to Lauren to know that she deserves love and happiness and wanted to jump in the book and tell her this.

And BAM when I got all I wanted, I was content and happy, Jenna throws in a plot twist of ALL plot twist.

I was left starting at the page. But I needed to know how this would end. How they would get through this, if they would. My heart and mind were racing.

A great story makes you feel all the emotions, leaves you craving more, not able to get enough but enough to satisfy you until there is more.

Jenna has once again proven why she is one of my favorite authors. From here on out I won’t even need to read the blurbs on her next novels, nope sign me up immediately because she is on FIRE!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”No lies. No feelings. Just sex.”✨
.
When Lauren presents the perfect arrangement to Hunter, he’s all in. But for the first time in his life, he’s found someone he wants more with. More than Lauren’s willing to give.✨
.
If you love:
•Reverse Age Gap
•Assertive heroines
•Hot & Steamy Scenes
•Friends with benefits
•Dual POV
Then this is the book for you!✨
.
Ok wow. I need to cool myself off. This book is hot and steamy. Full of sexual chemistry and tension. It felt like a cat and mouse chase, only with humans, in a sexual chase. I’m sure I seen smoke coming from my kindle.✨
.
Lauren was a breath of fresh air. Strong, professional and assertive in all aspects of her life including her sexuality. She knows what she wants and she goes after it. She’s not without relationship hangups though. Understandably so. But it was refreshing to read her strong character work through these.✨
.
Hunter, PURE sex on a stick- if you don’t mind me saying so. But sweet. He has his own emotional baggage. But he too goes after what he wants and the undeniable chemistry... well it just can’t be denied. And the supporting characters were well written into the story. I see some great potential for some of their stories!✨
.
This is my first read of the authors and I enjoyed it! It took me a minute to get into the story (maybe because I was coming off of a previous emotional read), but it got better and better, the further along. I enjoyed the writing style by this author. Once in, it kept me engaged and I didn’t even see the plot twist coming. This book is sexy, sweet, funny and ends just how I hoped it would!✨
.
I was provided an ARC for my honest review.✨

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Hunter and Lauren! I have no words for how much I loved this book! Jenna Hartley has left me feeling so many different things. I couldn't read Irresistible fast enough but never wanted it to end. I was addicted at page one when Lauren tells the guy she can find anyone to replace him and walks out.

Lauren is sassy, fierce, strong, and independant. She knows what she wants and she doesn't let anyone tell her she shouldn't. She doesn't trust men, and refuses to have a relationship. Hunter is hot, single, owns his own company, and doesn't sleep with the same woman more than once. So a chance encounter at Target has both of their lives turned upside down.

The attraction and chemistry between these two is off the charts. The banter is hilarious and hot as hell. They both agree to the rules no lies, no feelings, just sex. They maybe the perfect couple on paper. One loving meaningless sex just as much as the next. Lauren is the interior designer, designing Hunter's recently purchased home. However, that is not the first time they have met. Their relationship is full of sexual innuendos and flirty comebacks from the moment they met in the Target isle.

I loved the development of their relationship and how it happens on it's own. Each of them fighting their feelings and refusing to admit them. They just kind of sneak up and scream here I am, ready or not. Hunter was more than she bargained for when he became her unicorn client, and the unicorn guy that can change her thinking?

I LOVED everything about these two! As individuals they were missing something they didn't know they were missing until they met the other. They were two semi-broken people, who came together to form a whole.

Irresistible is beautifully written with an amazing plot and brilliant cast of characters. Hartley had me captivated by Hunter and Lauren from start to finish. I will be first in line to see what she gives us next! I cannot say how much I loved this book!

“Feelings were meant to be shoved down, placed in a box, then set on a shelf in a dark closet you never opened.”⁣

Lauren was an independent, feisty bombshell with an amazing career as an interior designer and the ability to treat men like objects, instead of the other way around. Secretly she was broken, and built a wall so high no man could tear it down.⁣

And then, there was Hunter - sexy, rich, owned his own business, an eligible bachelor with the inability to commit.⁣

The rules - no lies, no feelings, just sex.⁣

Both were agreeable.⁣

This story was hot and steamy and irresistable. It was difficult to put down. I truly felt for Lauren and Hunter, navigating through their lives trying to figure out why they were the way they were. I loved every second of this.⁣

Holy steam. This couple was hot hot hot and exactly what my romantic heart has been looking for! Loved seeing that both characters were tough and closed off, then opened up to each other! Really enjoyed how the story intertwined with Unexpected and wasn’t just the traditional follow up!

Lauren doesn’t trust men, and Hunter is over relationships where he’s been used bc of his family connections. So of course a chance encounter at Target leaves them both wanting more. When they are put in each other’s paths time and time again, eventually Lauren gives in to a no-strings fling. But before either of them realize it, they’ve fallen into a relationship as Lauren decorates his new house. Pesky feelings and a wicked nondisclosure threaten to ruin everything that they’ve built — when they weren’t even trying.

The banter between these two is fun and witty, and there’s tons of chemistry. Lauren and Hunter don’t have a traditional romance, but it works perfectly for these two imperfect people. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

5+ Stars. This book is Irresistible (literally)

I absolutely loved this book...borderline obsessed for several reasons. If you have read Unexpected and Perspective you know that Jenna writes these incredible love stories about couples who have to learn to ignore societal expectations about what they “should” want while giving us all the passion and sexiness a reader could ever want. I loved Irresistible for a few major reasons:⁣

🖤Lauren is a smart & beautiful career woman. She doesn’t want a relationship and is happy in her life with good friends and a burgeoning career. It was so refreshing to read a book where the woman goes after what she wants in every aspects of her life, both professionally and sexually. There was no hesitation, no Lauren hiding herself because she was unsure or not confident. She knew who she was and owned her sexuality, her body and her intelligence. #goals⁣

🖤Hunter and Lauren are equals in every way...professionally, emotionally and sexually. They were honestly perfect for each other. The small age gap wasn’t an issue because of how similar they were. They each met their perfect match. I liked t⁣hat the age gap wasn’t written like some typical cougar story. ⁣

🖤This book is sexy...so incredibly sexy. From the moment Hunter and Lauren meet there is a tension that can actually be felt in Jenna’s words. The chemistry is palpable and the sex scenes are some of the hottest ever. Reading about two incredibly sexual people being together was HOT! ⁣

This is a book about two people realizing that they don’t have to change who or what they are in order to allow someone else in. Two people who had great lives and didn’t find the “missing” piece but instead found the person who complimented their life and made it even better. Trust me, you want to read this story. It’s a very contemporary romance where men and women are actually equals and the woman are written as we really are...confident, intelligent, sexually aware, ambitious and gorgeous. I wish we could all view ourselves like Lauren sees herself. ⁣

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

“When you fall in love with someone, when your heart decides what it wants – you are powerless to resist.”

Jenna Hartley for the WIN!! This is the second book, written by Hartley, that I’ve had the pleasure of reading and her work is simply phenomenal. She writes taboo romances that suck you in from the moment you open the book. Her novels are addicting and delicious. This specific novel, Irresistible, was another reverse age-gap romance, similar to Unexpected. Our leading lady in this novel, Lauren, is a professional interior designer. She is incredibly talented and does very well for herself. Unfortunately, because her past trauma, she has some major trust and commitment issues. She sleeps around with whoever she wants, whenever she wants, and as soon as her current partner catches feelings, she dumps him and moves on to the next one. Hunter, our leading man, is similar to Lauren. He doesn’t believe in love or settling down or ever committing to one woman. Until…he runs into a fascinating, brilliant woman in Target and he isn’t able to stop thinking about her. As it turns out, that woman is Lauren and they continue to run into each other until they can’t deny their attraction anymore.

Lauren and Hunter have unmatched chemistry, it’s palpable. Even when Lauren begins working as Hunter’s interior designer for his new house, they have a difficult time maintaining professional boundaries. They can’t help themselves! It’s like their souls are simply drawn to the other. This story was fascinating because it covered everything from conquering insecurities to learning how to set healthy boundaries…it really has it all. It also doesn’t hurt that Hunter is super sexy and commanding in the bedroom! I’ve learned that I’m a big fan of Hartley’s work and I’m very excited to see what she’s got in store for us next. Another really great read to add to your bookshelf. 5 stars!

Caratteristiche: contemporary romance, reverse age gap
Stile narrativo: scorrevole, semplice
Tipo di finale: chiuso, soddisfacente
Voto: 3,5

**3.5 Stars**Lauren wants nothing to do with commitment. Her only commitment is to her friends and her job. She enjoys a carefree life of no strings and no one will get her to waiver on that. Until Hunter keeps popping into her life in random places. Hunter hires Lauren to decorate/design his home that forces them to spend a lot of time together. Hunter is exactly like Lauren, wants nothing to do with commitments since he can't trust if a girl wants him for him or his money and/or family name.
Eventually they give in to their chemistry and start a friends with benefits arrangement. And we all know what happens with those - someone always grows the dreaded feelings. In their case it is both of them.

At first I was a little worried about this book - the first chapter was just a tad ridiculous and I was concerned that the entire book would be that awful but it got better from there. I enjoyed Lauren and Hunter's banter a lot. They were really fun. I also liked that once they both realized that there were feelings involved that they didn't run away because they were scared. This was an easy and fun read with likable characters who had off the charts chemistry. Really enjoyed this one and would recommend it to others.

The perfect title because Hunter is 100% Irresistible.

While his best friend Preston is that boy next door sexy, Hunter is that wild and carefree sexy. The one you want to pull into a closet and have some fun with. In their first meeting, Lauren describes their connection as addicting and overpowering and that’s exactly what it - what Hunter is.

Lauren has fantastic taste in wine AND men. Hartley writes men you want to date and women you want to be best friends with.

I absolutely love the push and pull between them. Both strong alpha people fighting to come out on top.... in any way possible😉

I love that we get to see the progression of others HEAs and root for other characters to get their own. Hartley had me laughing one second and wiping tears another.

I can’t wait to start the next book.

No lies. No feelings. Just sex.

Do you ever get scared to read sequels or book series?? When I read a really good book I get nervous to read the next book because I set standards for those characters and I’m afraid they won’t live up to my expectations. Hunter and Lauren make my previous standards laughable. It was like going in expecting a C on a test and leaving with a 100% PLUS getting the impossible bonus question at the end. Okay now I’m ranting but holyshit I loved them you guys.

Lauren is a successful independent interior designer whose past leaves her only wanting sex without the strings attached. Hunter is the son of a presidential candidate who only does one night stands. Trust is hard to come by for both of them due to her past and his family name. They both have the same guidelines for their love/sex life so what can go wrong?

Pub Date 2/26 but you can pre-order it now! Thank you Jenna for a copy in exchange for my honest review. You were one of the first people I met on booksta and I’m so so glad I did. 💕

*While you can read this as a stand-alone, I highly suggest reading Perspective and Unexpected first because it adds so much depth to each character.

The Quick and Dirty: What starts as a friends-with-benefits, no-strings-attached relationship between two notorious “players” turns into something more.

Lauren is a fiery, strong, and sexually independent entrepreneur whose dalliances with men are hot but short. She’s not interested in entanglements, especially considering her history with the opposite sex. When she meets Hunter though, she’s surprised by their instant chemistry and it rattles her normally cool-as-a-cucumber persona. It isn’t until fate puts him in her path a second and third time, the latter when he shows up in her office as a client, that things really start to heat up. Hunter, also a notorious playboy and entrepreneur, convinces Lauren that they can both scratch the itch with each other without strings attached. While it starts off as friends-with-benefits, the more time they spend together, feelings that they both swore off get stronger and stronger and they are powerless to resist them. Just when things seemed to be going well, secrets are revealed, and it’ll take more than just their amazing chemistry to pull them back together.

These two characters. 😍😍. They’re my favorite of Jenna’s couples so far. I love how Lauren is a boss babe and handles all aspects of her life without the need for a man; that her relationship with Hunter isn’t about needing him but wanting him. She’s independent and he complements her without stifling it. And Hunter. He’s my new book boyfriend: that playboy with a golden heart that met his match and will stop at nothing to get her. **swoon** The chemistry between the two was ⚡️electric⚡️ and the sex 🔥🔥🔥. The banter between them was witty and the plot twists kept things fresh and interesting. The story flowed well and while I wasn’t 100% sure about one of the story’s conflicts, it ended up working out and left me satisfied at the end. I am absolutely champing at the bit to get my hands on the next book in the series!

This book was so much fun to read. I absolutely loved Lauren and Hunter! I loved both equally which is rare for me, I usually tend to lean more towards the hero or the heroine. ⁣

The best part of this book was watching them try to hard not to fall for each other. Especially cuz our boy Hunter is delish! And as stated irresistible AF! ⁣

Lauren was strong, smart and beautiful. She was also very guarded but she just needed the right guy to come around cuz she was so sweet once she let her guard down and let Hunter in. I also loved how Lauren owner her power, femininity, sexuality and her aversion to commitment it was awesome to see that because a lot of the time society tried to tell us that men can do that but women can’t ⁣

Hunter! 🥵 was a french talking dirty playboy but not an asshole which is important to note! I loved how he had to work for Lauren cuz I was Iike YASS! Get it boy. I loved how dirty, funny and thoughtful he was. ⁣

Their banter and chemistry, the way they loved each other once they finally let themselves it was all so beautiful to read. ⁣

This is a reverse age gap romance which I know most of us tend to lean towards the older man, younger woman age gap trope myself included but I would recommend giving this a chance. ⁣

Two people clinging to their independence, each for their own reasons, avoiding relationships like the plague. A meet cute in Target of all places leads to an incredible love story between Lauren and Hunter. The old adage "You don't go to Target because you need something. You go to Target and let Target tell you what you need" holds true here in the most hilarious way!

What starts as a simple, yet steamy friends-with-benefits arrangement because increasingly complicated as Lauren and Hunter grapple with the emotional baggage weighing on them. The strict lines keeping them strictly sexual slowly begin to unravel and leave them scrambling to confront their feelings head-on.

This story was not only romantic, funny, and sexy - it was also a refreshing concept. In addition to an inverse age gap (Lauren is 10 years older than Hunter), Jenna has crafted nuanced characters that grab your attention and keep surprising you. Lauren is a career-driven, assertive woman in charge of her sexuality. She is strong in a way few heroines are - she isn't just sassy or quick-witted, she is also unafraid of going against the grain and chasing what she wants relentlessly. Hunter is equally driven and determined and their dynamic is one that exists on truly equal footing.

Rounding out the awesome factor of this book is the side relationships - Lauren has a circle of friends that support and uplift each other and Hunter has close relationships with friends and family of his own. They are their own people with full, robust lives outside of their relationship. It makes Lauren and Hunter - and their connection - more robust and engaging.

The story keeps the twists coming and the main characters are able to overcome the obstacles in front of them in a mature, sensible manner. It isn't always quick or easy but they are able to take a step back, cool off, and come back together and address their issues through honest communication.

Irresistible is a smart, sexy, unapologetically feminist  romance novel that embraces healthy expressions of sexuality in all forms. Read it if you want to be captivated by an amazing story that has laughs, sensuality, and romance.

The Premise
Lauren has cultivated a reputation for herself as a sexy, independent woman who only needs men for one thing — but then she meets her match when she has a chance encounter with Hunter. Playgirl meets playboy is bound to steam things up quickly — but they have to pull up the brakes on things when she soon realises he is her new client. She needs him to help her win a prestigious home design contest — lest she lose a high-stakes bet to her nemesis. Her good intentions soon crumble as they spend more time together, but they agree to keep it casual. Can they resist the scariest gamble of all — falling in love?

The Pros
This was a good, steamy romance read that kept me entertained all the way through. The chemistry between the main characters was really good, and I liked their first encounter especially! Lauren is blazing her way through men, leaving a trail of broken hearts in her wake, and I liked her independence and feisty demeanour; meanwhile Hunter’s suffering under the weight of his family’s expectations and meaningful relationships are not his top priority.

The relationship issues and conflicts are relatable and believable, and it’s easy to fall into their world of luxury and success. It was heartwarming to see them build a relationship gradually — despite each claiming they didn’t want one — as their feelings evolved into much more, and I loved how they struggled against their beliefs and resisted opening their hearts because they had been hurt before. The novel’s shining grace is its excellent dialogue, which I really enjoyed reading.

The Cons
Though I liked and enjoyed the story overall, the bits and pieces of other characters were distracting. It was evident to me that the book was part of a series (which is fine), but every so often there was an info dump about other characters — her friends, his friends, his sister, etc. and they all had huge events happening to them: a baby being born, surviving a disease, overcoming grief, having a contentious affair, etc. It’s like I was supposed to get invested in these other people, but I really was too wrapped up in the main characters’ story (a good thing!) so it just made the overall story longer and more difficult to follow. All these side characters are great on their own, and the author is talented at creating memorable and lovable characters, but I just would’ve preferred them to get less real estate in this particular book!

I also felt like Lauren’s family drama, though a great story arc, it was somehow not blended into the story aptly — one minute she had no intention of going to see her father, and then she showed up with no real event in between to nudge her in that direction. Also, not really a con, but it’s marketed as an “age-gap romance” but the age difference seemed negligible (not sure why it was even mentioned in such a big way!)

Conclusion
Despite my few niggles as a picky reader (especially one that has high expectations if it’s a trope-filled romance!) this was a good book and I would recommend to others. I would rate it high on the steamy scale, so buyer beware… not for the kiddies! I would like to read more by this author, and may pick up others in the series to learn their stories more in depth.

4,5 stelline

Target Temptations: An Enticing Romance
*arc generously provided by the promo team in exchange for an honest review*

Me when I read this and it turned out to be as sweet and irresistible as candy
description

"Every now and then, the stars align
Boy and girl meet by the great design
Could it be that you and me are the lucky ones?
Everybody told me love was blind
Then I saw your face, and you blew my mind
Finally, you and me are the lucky ones this time."

Lucky Ones - Lana Del Rey

What’s this book about? (I'm trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
Hunter is a bonafide playboy. In female form, Lauren is the same. When these two not so polar opposites meet, sparks fly and arrangements are made. However, Hunter starts wanting more, but Lauren is keen on keeping him at a distance.

This is my first Jenna Hartley read. I can hereby confirm that it was a wonderful read. An easy, fun and romantic read - exactly my type of romantic read, actually. No strings attached type of relationship, bad-ass leading OLDER lady (I yearn for those romances, if you have any other recommendations, THROW THEM MY WAY, I beg you) and a charming guy who's trying to figure out what emotional path he wants to take in his life. I enjoyed reading both POVs and I immediately empathized with the both of them. The author used lots of hooks (I hope that's what they're called) and managed to get me invested from page one. I loved the friendships and family relationships, watching it all unfold with immense amusement. Next to the interactions with others, the interaction between the two main characters was glorious. The chemistry was intense. The steam was real and exciting. Their early back and forth was exquisite.
I recommend this story to anyone who loves friends with benefits, intense chemistry amongst a man and a woman who are equally sexually liberated and captivating main plots and subplots.

Ma l’altro no.

Giocoso, arrogante, profondo.

Credo sia in libro che possa piacere.
Scorrevole, divertente, leggero.

Hunted by the Hunter

"Our happiness was honest and hard-won. And instead of regretting our previous mistakes, I was grateful for them. Because I’d long since realized that no relationship was perfect. But when you were with the right person, the happiness was worth the pain that sometimes came with giving your heart to someone."

Hunter and Lauren, the male/female versions of each other. Hookups, one night stands, no long term relationships, nothing with strings attached unless it made them money. While it may have been liberating and fulfilling at one point in their lives, it just didn't feel the same anymore. Hunter's hook ups ended with him being robbed and Lauren's latest nearly getting her professional rep ruined. What started as a Target run for wine, tampons, pregnancy test, and MAGNUMS...between their two baskets, ended up as the chase of a lifetime. Unaware that their best friends are together, the two keep meeting by accident until Hunter hires her to design his home. They are spending time, she's sticking to her guns about not sleeping with her clients, and they're enjoying each others company. Eventually pressure bursts a pipe and boy do these two have a lot of built up steam! Of course Lauren has her rules, and those rules will be abided by. So when Hunter inadvertently breaks the most important rule - no lies, after Lauren breaks her own - no catching feelings, she runs off heartbroken not allowing Hunter to explain. These two are perfect for each other and maybe an outsider looking in can give them some perspective. Hunter and Lauren merely existed before they got together. Once together, they started living. He made her feel and she made him a home with her. Were things mishandled, absolutely, but this was new terrifying territory for them both - even though they were adults. Great book to a series that is getting even better. I can't wait to read what's next.
