I love this series and this is just another look into it. It just makes the storyline that ties the series together, even cleaner. Love it and recommend it to everyone
A really enjoyable prequel to the Wealth of Time series! I loved learning more about Chris Speidel, his wife Gloria and their daughter Angelina. I look forward to reading more books in this thrilling series!
This Wealth of Time short story is a prequel to the series, relating how Chris (the villain in the main series books) came to be involved in time travelling in the first place. It's an interesting tale, and makes him seem much more human too. We also see what happens between him and his wife - the event that will cause a split between Chris and his daughter - so everything that eventually comes to pass originates in this story. A vital read then for all fans of the series, and I'm looking forward to reading any more short (or long!) stories that emerge from the author's vivid imagination - there's still so many potential storylines available, after all! NB I received a complimentary copy of this book, but I always give an HONEST review based wholly on my own opinions
Ted meets Chris in a bar and makes him an offer at a better life. There is a group New Age Revolution that is on the table for Chris to join. Time travel becomes a reality for Chris, but his wife is not on the same page. What will he decide to do?
The How and Why Chris Speidel became the time master is one heck of a tale. Seems our guy Chris was as lost as the future travelers he entices. He has a major decision to make which he struggles with as most all do. There's the old saying that what goes around, comes around. Guess that's true.
This prequel had a great opening quotation: “They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.” ~ Andy Warhol I’m not so sure that this famous artist was alluding to Chris Speidel’s self-imposed dilemma, but he does have a point. Rather than complaining about our lot in life, we should re-evaluate then readjust.
This prequel and the next (‘Road Runners’) are great lead-ins to the author’s ‘Arielle Lucila’ series. I picked up the first book (reviewing soon) and hopefully the second one.
Would YOU join The Revolution? If yes, what price are you willing to pay?
Usually, I have a clearcut point of view about every book I’ve read, but this one really has me confused. I enjoyed the writing and the action, and was truly on the edge of my seat. However, our main character proved unlikable for me. In addition to that, while time, travel is not normally my genre, I was clearly interested in where the storyline was going to go. So I’ve given it a 3 1/2 stars for now, which may change as soon as I read other stories in this series. And yes, I plan on reading additional stories, so clearly I am interested. looking forward to seeing where this journey goes.
It’s 1952 and Chris feels like he is in a rut and wants more from life. He meets a strange man in a bar that gives him a glimpse of a better future with the New Age Revolution. Ted dangles money, travel and a better life for his daughter in front of Chris. Chris jumps at the opportunity – but without fully thinking about the big picture and the repercussions. Great story.
A prequel to the Wealth of time series which I havent read but this short story makes me want to delve right into it. Interesting storyline to say the least. What decisions will be made? And will Chris make the right ones concerning himself and his daughter?
This was an excellent backstory (really it's a prequel, I just happened to read it after the Wealth of Time series.) It was great to get an in-depth look at such a complex and nefarious character! Highly recommend!
This is a great read. Chris has been given a choice by an unknown buisness he gets a taste of it but will he choose to lead a new life or change it and at what cost. This is a great short story that gives you a prequel of the read. The Author does a fantastic job with the Characters and the world building. I definitely recommend this read. Shauna Joesten
I liked it. This was a quick read that held my attention, was not too predictable, and followed a little different storyline than normal. I am interested in following the character in future readings to see how this evolves.
This was such an amazing story that I have love reading so much. I can not get enough of this story or author and I highly recommend this story cause I loved reading it.
