Mapmaking, Partition Stories from 2 Bengals

Rate this book
The independance of India was accompanied by the Muslim calls for even further independance based solely on their religion. Bengals split is particularly focused on with these short stories which reflect the personal turmoil that was experienced by families and friends as everything they had in common, was dashed, through the selfish ambitions of politicians. 10 different authors offer at least 10 different perspectives on the pains and passions such a page in history inflicted on them and their lives.

Good Picks. My favorite ones are Sadak- The Road,The ballad of Sonadas Baul . Liked the way the stories were partitioned with the original title in English and translators names. Would have been great if a translators note might have been added.

Would love to read other stories by Ritwik Gadak.
