I’m a huge fan of anything paranormal and I always have been. I get super excited whenever they have those Twilight Zone Marathon days and anything ghost or vampire related will always attract my attention.
My interests are varied but aside from writing, I’m most excited about traveling. I’m extremely fortunate to have been able to live in England and Scotland, both places really having a profound effect on my books.
Thanks for checking out my books and I hope you enjoy them! Happy Haunting!
Lily has finally made it back from the Underground City and reunited with both Tallis and Bill. Just when they thought there was order in their world, the trio is thrust back into the Underground City. They are specifically sent to the seventh circle, finding themselves seeking out a Minotaur and attempting to cross the Blood Plains during a never-ending battle. Alistair is still up to his tricks and his obsession with Lily continues to increase.
Lily is a strong character, rolling with the hand she's been dealt. Her ability to stay level-headed while attempting to find her way through the seventh circle and during her not-so-pleasant reunion with Alaire, shows the excellence of her character. Tallis has a soothing effect on her, especially when her interactions with Alaire become quite personal. Tallis is a broody Scotsman but his feelings for Lily are quite evident. Bill, Lily’s foul-mouthed guardian angel, is a hoot. His mishmash of the English language had me laughing out loud and shaking my head.
While this is book 7 in the Lily Harper series, this is only the second book I've had a chance to read. I enjoyed the story very much and will eventually start reading the series from the beginning. Despite only reading one previous book, I was able to move through the pages and most of the book fell into place. The author does a wonderful job providing some details from previous events to aid in keeping the reader abreast with the story.
After making it back to Tallis and Bill and the underground city . Lily is waiting to find out if she still has a job . She is back but she is also in the seventh circle . Where she is going to find herself but she might end up loosing in the end .
I absolutely love these characters . Lily is growing stronger and is rolling with the punches she is getting handed. She is level headed and will take on whatever is thrown at her. Tallis is back brooding and sexy as ever . He has Lily's back as they head through the blood plains . Bill has to be my favourite character. He is such a hoot and some of the things he says will have you rolling on the floor . I have never laughed so hard then I did with Bill . We also get to meet a new character Asterion a minotaur . Who has an attraction to Lily but we don't know what is behind that attraction . He is also a big brooding man/ bull . Who will love or hate depending on the moment in the book .
This book is one that you can sit down and read in an evening . The characters are very well written and complex . I love the interaction that Lily has with Asterion its one of my favourite part . Oh don't worry Tallis is still my main man . I mean who wouldn't want a brooding Scotsman around . Even after 7 books the author can keep the stories fresh and the characters growing with each book. You will get carried away to the seventh circle and have a hilarious time while you are there . Trust me the stuff Bill says will have you rolling on the floor . So if you want a fun filled story that will have you laughing so hard . Check it out . This series is just getting better and better with each story .
This is another great book in this series. I really enjoyed reading this book so much. I can’t wait for the next book to come out in this series. I would definitely recommend reading this book.
This was an entertaining, well-written book. Lily is back with Tallis and Bill, but she soon receives another assignment, with new challenges and adventures involved. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more stories in this series as well as other books by this author.
I love this series and this book was no exception. We are adding to Lily’s group of trusted allies as they work to save lost souls in the underworld. Although I am anxious to see where the story goes from here, I think I’m going to wait until the 13th book comes out to continue.
Throughout this read is one conflict after the other. Twists and turns that give you a headache trying to keep up with all the action. I am not sure that I like the way things are going with Lily. I will wait and see in the next book.
Another great book for this series! New friends, old enemies and so much going on! Each book picks up where the last one left off making it easy to follow, and keep you wanting more!

Lily may have lost her job at Afterlife Enterprises. She must be evaluated by a psychiatrist in order to be cleared. Lily is still working with her friends to determine just how deep Alaire's claws are dug into AE.
Lily is reinstated and given her next assignment almost instantly. She, Bill, and Tallis set off to the Seventh Circle. Unfortunately, getting to her soul is going to require some finesse. Lily finds help in some unexpected new allies.
Author H.P. Mallory's LILY HARPER series just keeps heating up. I love how each novel picks up right where the last left off. It makes the story easier to follow. Lily and her ragtag group of friends are certainly back in action in DEVIL IN DISGUISE. It's so exciting meeting the new characters, famous, mythological, or otherwise. I hope to see more of them in future installments. DEVIL IN DISGUISE gets 3.5 stars from me.
Lily is changing. Stronger, more curvy, and more in love with Tallis than before. She's worked hard to become the best soul retriever, but she's not alone. She has Tallis and Bill to help. Great continuation of the story! Seems the next book gets more personal!! Happy reading!!
Lily, Tallis and Bill travel back to the Underground City to retrieve another soul. None of them seem to have recovered fully from the trauma of their last mission but have bonded even more. My favorite part is an assessment conducted by a historically famous psychiatrist. I always knew I would have liked him. New characters are introduced and friendships formed while enemies remain obstacles. There’s humor and angst, as in all of Lily’s missions.
Lily is waiting to find out if she will get her job back. Looks like Alaire has a lot more people in his pocket at AE. Lily and others are going work against his plans. Lily learns that she has been reinstated, but it is not an easy job, Lily, Tallis and Bill go to Seventh Circle to get this lost soul, but is in the most dangerous location. They have their work out for themselves trying to get there. They meet a few people that will become allies, Alaire shows up and tries to get them. As Lily and Gang makes new alliances, new problems will have to be over come.
There are so many different things that happen in this book. You will not believe everything that goes on with Lily and the others. I am not trying to give any spoilers out, highly recommend you read this
I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Asterion receives news his first true love Aradine ..is alive. Yet being held against her will by in a demon prince's harem. As Lily and her group go on deep w/in Undercity. As HP Mallory does best we find another sworn enemy . That needs to be flipped no matter what Tallis thinks. Wally Wordsmith is the one best chance for a escape plan. Not only can Lily face this problem, it's the she has prophetic dream. Lily does love Asterion but how will this change. Hp Mallory to me is such a strong character and storyline creator/builder. When you are reading any of these series installments. I get sucked in I'm walking along , fly on the wall, or even become as in this book Lily. So if you are like me grab the book up, get ready to escape. At least for a little while.
