I’m a huge fan of anything paranormal and I always have been. I get super excited whenever they have those Twilight Zone Marathon days and anything ghost or vampire related will always attract my attention.
My interests are varied but aside from writing, I’m most excited about traveling. I’m extremely fortunate to have been able to live in England and Scotland, both places really having a profound effect on my books.
Thanks for checking out my books and I hope you enjoy them! Happy Haunting!
I just love this series. HP is my favorite author and I adore anything she writes, but this series is just so much fun... This book felt like she is setting up for some drastic stuff in the next books. It finally got some stuff rolling I was hoping for but at the same time I felt like we are set up for big drama that is about to happen
In fact, there is some ominous feelings I have and I can't wait for the next book to see if I am right about what will happen next. I love how strong our main character is. I love that she is very smart and focused. I love that she is driven. I just honestly love how kick ass she is.
Such a great fun series and I could not put it down! If you haven't read this series I think you must! Great great story!
Claire Darrow 's case is at a stand still , there are mulitple deaths in the game that Nulife is running . She needs to get back into the game and decides to take her hunky boss Grant to have her back .When they get to the island there are questions that they both havee and when they land on Buccaneer's Cove , pirating world . They find that they have more unanswered questions then just who is killing people . Will they be able to answer the questions that both have and will they ever be able to keep their hands off each other and find out who is murdering people in the game. Holy Hannah what can I say . I adore these characters . Grant well we get to see more of him and yes i mean more . He is still gruff and well he is sexy and makes such a dashing pirate. I really liked him in this book you really get to see him open up and let Claire know his feelings . Claire is intense but we also get to see her a little bit more vulnerable when it comes to Grant . She is a great pirate as well. I love these characters and when they finally get together i did cheer just a little. They have grown so much since the first book . They are becoming more and more complex with each book . Ok I kind of got a little excited when I found out this book was going to be about pirates . I have a little soft spot for anything pirate . The author didn't disappoint the characters are well written and you will love them . The story is great and the characters will have you laughing . Claire and Grant are in for the rides of their lives and the author does put them through the wringer . There are some great twists and turns through out the book that will have you hooked . I think this one is the best of the three and I truly loved the first two . This third book does not disappoint . So if you want a fun series to read while you are all locked down check out this series . I promise you will love them .
Buccaneer's Cove is book 3 in HP Mallory's LitRPG series NuLife and begins where Gangland, book 2, ends. Claire Darrow is still trying to figure out what is going on inside NuLife's Virtual Reality (VR) game. People she meets inside the game keep dying or getting deathly ill. Claire has now been inside the VR game twice and is about to make it three times. She was provided enough game credits to include a second person as her guest so Claire decides it's time to take Grant, her boss and captain at the police department. There are more haywire occurrences in Buccaneer's Cove, the location that Claire's mystery contact has instructed them to go this time. NPCs (non-playable characters) are doing less programmed type things and more human, non-programmed things, continuing to confuse both Claire and Grant.
Claire and Grant's entry into Buccaneer's Cove seems innocuous enough but it's only a matter of time before both of them are in danger. Things aren't always what they seem and Claire finds herself fighting for her VR character's life. She also has an unusual encounter with her NuLife VR character stalker who seems to have followed her to Buccaneer's Cove.
Buccaneer's Cove drew me in and kept me engaged from the very beginning. I enjoyed Claire and Grant’s characters. I love their slow-burning relationship. Yes, they work side-by-side and Grant is Claire’s boss, but they are great together. I really enjoyed the connection between Claire and Grant in this book. The new VR world Claire and Grant enter is one wrought with danger around every turn – some in the form of other players and others as NPCs. It was funny to see Grant get frustrated with the first quest he had to do in order to obtain a weapon. As a gamer girl myself, it is frustrating.
I really liked Gangland and look forward to book 3.
Claire is still trying to run down leads on her case. There are a lot of threads that are not leading anywhere. Claire gives Larry a ride home, hoping to get any lead from him. He is not giving much, but promises to tell her more at a dinner for her and her boss. Claire also has to get checked out by the doctors to make sure her trips aren't making her sick. She is also given a name of a person that can check her phone. While going there she is given a lead on a person of interest that can maybe help her with the case. Things don't go as she thought they would. Claire and Grant have no choice but to go back to Nulife to see if they can get anymore leads to what is really going on there. There is so much going on in this book, so author has so really good twist and turns to the story. Claire is in for a ride with everything that is going on. What is going to happen when she goes back, what is going on between her and Grant and so much more. The book just hooks you as soon as you start and it is over before you know it. I enjoyed every moment reading this series, can't wait for more. I highly recommend this book and series.
I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Claire is still at a standstill on her case. Someone involved or in the NuLife company is sending her clues. Claire knows they are the answer to cracking open her investigation. Unfortunately, all roads lead to re-entering the game. This time, Claire is taking back up... her boss, Grant.
Claire and Grant enter the game at NuLife, venturing to Buccaneer's Cove. They have no idea what they're getting themselves into. They must join a pirate crew in order to reach their destination. They just hope they come out with more info than when they went in. Find out what happens in BUCCANEER'S COVE.
I cannot get enough of author H.P. Mallory's NULIFE series. It is so addictive. This series just continues to get better and better. I highly recommend reading this series in order. It currently consists of three wicked good stories, VALHALLA, GANGLAND and the most recent, BUCCANEER'S COVE. I thought VALHALLA was my favorite of the series, but BUCCANEER'S COVE gives it a run for it's money. In BUCCANEER'S COVE, we get to experience romance blossom between Claire and her boss, Grant. There is so much that happens in this book. I had a hard time putting it down. I need my next NULIFE fix ASAP.
When Grant joins Claire on a virtual reality trip to investigate several suspicious deaths, things heat up. A pirate themed adventure ensues. Claire and Grant finally acknowledge their attraction which leads to questions about their return home. The VR world has now spread to real life as friends in the game become close outside of it. I’m intrigued by this adventurous series!
Usually I really like h.p. Mallorys books, however with this series, I just can’t get into it. It is personal preference I do believe, the whole virtual realities is not my cup of tea I’m thinking. If you like that sort of thing, go for it.
This was an entertaining, well-written book. Claire takes her boss into the NuLife Virtual Reality game with her, pursuing some clues she has received. I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading the next book, though the series does not seem to be advancing very much from book to book.
This series just keeps getting better and better! I love all the secret twist and turns! The characters are fun & really keep you entertained. By far one of my favorite series!
I wish there was more time in the VR game. There was definitely some exciting stuff going on IRL tbough. Not my favorite one of the series. More questions than answers...
The virtual reality world just keeps getting better and better! Claire and Grant take to the seas in Buccaneers Cove. There's tons of suspense and lots of naughtiness to keep the pages turning! I can't wait for the next installment in this series!
