Dr. Kepler West is working in a South African desert and much of it's contribution to the repository through his SYNROC-R invention is highly praised. During the car crash exhibit where particular radiation waste is the content of explosion, the scientist met Rencha Krummect, the owner of the Corbel Camp. Formerly a member of Bakunin Movement, a terrorist organization responsible for carefully-planned crimes all around the world, she is once known to be Anna-Kai Cermy and a sleeper of the terrorist organization and that her past seems to forbid her from continuing a different life.As they spend more time together, they fell in love with each other.
The International Atomic Agency Association (IAEA) Delegation which is commissioned to observe the repository in it's capability of storing radioactive waste is attended by well-known scientists from all over the world including the delegates from RadChem China whose main plan was to buy off the research of Dr West in it's invention of SYNROC-R. After Kepler refused their offer, they continue their plan to steal the invention in the most disastrous way. Henri Bossiere, a French DST, tip-off Rencha where he thought that she is involved in the terrorists plan. Kepler, at first thought of it the opposite bu Bossiere seemed to successfully exposed Rencha's past resulting from them to emotionally breakdown. Jean Ledoux and Louis Maurette, the Bakunin terrorists hired by the RadChem China to carry on the mission successfully achieved their plan in substituting the KORAD 003 with stolen drums containing explosives which is expected to be blown off during the last day of inspection. This is for the SYNROC-R to be claimed as defective.
Bossiere and Kepler went to the Haunted Graveyard to discover the terrorists darkest plans which they completely uncover. Upon planning on how to solve the problem at Corbel Camp, Kepler realized and felt betrayed for all eternity by the one she loved while Bossiere alone returned to the Haunted Graveyard for more discovery. Upon discovering more of the terrorists hidden schemes, he was attacked by Ledoux and Maurette leaving him severely wounded and unconscious. Kepler thought of going to Bossiere and after knowing that he went to the graveyard he immediately followed the French DST. Kepler seeing Bossiere's state resolved on going to Rencha back at Corbel Camp for help with still civility because of such revelations. They arrived at the far-flung hospital and left immediately to uncover more of the terrorists plan.
However, because of the Bakunin instinct they are kept captive until Kepler lend a fake formula of the SYNROC-R. They escaped and met Bossiere surpringly driving an ambulance for the chase of Ledoux and Maurette. The Bakunin terrorists failed on their mission and Kepler, Bossiere and Rencha successfully cornered them in the Haunted Graveyard resulting for them to commit suicide under the Bakunin Code.

Another action-packed book that grabs my attention. It's one of those oldest books I bought at a very low price and honestly I really enjoyed reading it. Science, love, action, and terror joined together at one exquisitely written book.

Atrocious. The plot is interesting enough, but the author's penchant for contrived metaphors put me right off. The final straw: "The little clickety-click of the clock sputtered like a cauterizer attacking a wart."

I enjoyed A Ravel of Waters, so was pretty disappointed.
