In search of salvation, four convicts opened a tattoo shop. They didn't expect to find true love along the way. This is King’s story.
KING: Five years in prison taught me one thing, I’m never going back. I fronted the money, and the boys set up the tattoo shop while I served my time. It's perfect, just the environment I need to stay out of trouble. Then I see Ronnie, and everything changes. Her dark, stormy eyes. Her perfect curves. The way she looks at me when she thinks I’m distracted. Can't she see? She’s the distraction. All I want is to protect her, to keep her safe, but she won’t let me in.
RONNIE: My bad boy boss is home from the slammer. Maybe he doesn’t like the way I’ve set up the reception area. Maybe he doesn’t think a woman can manage a tattoo shop as well as a man. Or maybe, his lingering stares mean something far more worrisome. I took the job at Redemption Ink to avoid dating bad boys. They’re overbearing and smothering, and I don’t like anyone telling me what to do. Bad boys are bad for a reason. They're nothing but trouble. But I can't deny there’s something about King that lowers my defenses.
This romance short story features an overprotective tattoo artist male and the independent curvy receptionist he falls insta love at first sight for. It’s the perfect short romance read when you’re crunched for time, but want a high heat quickie romance to hold you over. If you love a tattooed OTT alpha and a confident curvy heroine, this is the one hour short reads romance for you!
I was hoping this would be a tantalisingly smutty and quick read, but honestly this was an ok-ish short insta-attraction/love read, but I just didn't find myself that engaged.
A second chance, that's what King is getting with the rest of his mini crew. When he walks into his tattoo shop he had build since he was locked up. And when he steps in he is already head over heels in lust/love with Ronnie the receptions up front. But she is keeping hin at arms length because she doesnt want a bad boy and Ronnie knows King is a bad boy.. or so she thinks.
It's a slowish insta with Ronnie running away or pushing King away and I gotta say King did not let up. He was always patient with her.
Phoenix and Ev are next.. and seems like history? And idk who shall do the chasing.

This was a pretty good story. Ronnie has had a rough life and is tough as nails. King has spent the last five years in prison. They are both attracted to each other the moment they meet but Ronnie is not interested in dating a bad boy. She wants a stable life and she doesn’t feel like she could get that with an ex con. Rex knows he’s going to Marry Ronnie and he is going to prove to her that he can give her the life she deserves.
Safety and Spoilers Completely safe. No ow drama, two guys show up without an appointment and cause trouble. H throws them out, h is angry because she feels she can handle herself. Both are not virgins. H has been celibate for five years because he was in prison and h has also been celibate for a while. No abuse. I thought the h changed her mind too fast. She was ready for him after just one dinner.
Quick read. Loved King and Ronnie. King is an ex con who has a tattoo shop and Ronnie is his employee. It was love at first sight and I loved it. There were some issues that needed to be taken care of but who doesn’t have issues in their relationship. Can’t wait for Phoenix’s story.

I woke up with the mood to read something short & steamy. While I was browsing through the Kindle Unlimited titles, I found "King" the short novella of the first installment of the Redemption Ink series. Sometimes it is fun to start and finish a book/story in one sitting. The characters were likable, and the chemistry was there. King and Ronnie were perfect for each other. Ronnie's attitude was a little off-putting at first, but once explained, it made sense. The epilogues were great. I can't wait to read Phoenix. I recommend.
love the premise of this series! Four tattoo artists meet in prison and open their own shop as each is released. Friends become brothers and an amazing support system. King fronts the start up money for the partnership, and is the last one out of prison. The shop is everything he imagined and when he first walks in, he finds his destiny in the form of Ronnie, the shop's receptionist. Ronnie is now shy flower and could not be more perfect for King. He is rough around the edges, and she takes no prisoners. Each has their own baggage, and make this a very fun read! Very much looking forward to reading about each of the friends finding their happy ever after!

King is book one in the redemption ink series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. King has just been released after serving five years in prison. When he walks into his new business he meets the receptionist and instantly wants her. Ronnie has heard all about King from her other bosses. What she doesn’t expect is to want him as soon as she meets him. The chemistry between King and Ronnie is clear to see and I loved them together. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
I wasn't sure what to expect from a romance featuring a fresh from prison ex-con. But that's what I get for judging and coming in with preconceived notions!
King isn't what you expect him to be and his reason for getting locked up is also not what you'd expect. So to see him fall fast and hard for Ronnie was the best, he deserved his second chance and his HEA.
Ronnie had some serious past experience baggage that messed with their HEA but King was nothing if not determined to break down the headstrong woman's walls and get her to give them a chance.
I loved the tattoo shop back drop for this story and I'm excited to read the other guys' stories.
This book is about a second chance, but not as usual for an ex-couple but for King. He has been in prison. Now he and his friends opened a Tatoostudio and theyre well off.Ronnie never would date an ex-convict. But then there was King. Its an short nice read about second chances, hot insta love and trust. I love the writing of Flora Madison. So clear and straight that every sentence is a seduction of the reader. Now I yearn for Phoenix.

When you find out why King went to prison it gives you a little more insight to the man. While in prison he made 3 friends who also did tattooing and they pooled their money together to open a shop. He was the last one released from prison. Upon arrival at the shop, he met Ronnie their office manager. He was immediately awestruck. Ronnie not so much. This was such a good book. Great insight on both of their lives. I hope you read it and enjoy it. Written by Cindy :)
It’s short and sweet and gets right to the love and the happily ever after. Ronnie and King are boss and employee. Ex con and an convicted murderers daughter. So needless to say Ronnie is pretty apprehensive when it comes to falling in love with King. Good thing King isn’t backing down. This book was short and sweet and I loved it!

Great short story. It left me wanting to know more about the other characters. I had to find out when the next book in the series was coming out! For such a short story, the character development was clear and well presented. I enjoyed reading, and only gave four stars for a lack of proofreading resulting in just a few mistakes. (I would be a card-carrying member if there was a Grammar Police Agency.)
King is finally put of jail and can join his friends at redemption ink hes excited and cant wait to get started on his new life and then he spots Ronnie at the shops front desk hes instantly in love.
Ronnie has had a hard life yes she likes to look at King who wouldnt hes a hottie..... but he is an ex jail bird she cannot risk lising her heart to.
I loved this book it was fun romantic edgy and hot. So excited for the next book in the series.
An amazing fast pace and exciting read! The story line is well-developed, emotionally deep, witty, engaging, well written, and steamy with some ups and downs. Likeable characters; their chemistry is instant and off the charts! Definitely recommended!

I enjoyed this book. It was the story of an ex con named King and a daughter of a convict named Ronnie. They both work at Redemption ink. The epilogues were great. I can’t wait to read Phoenix. I definitely recommend.

He was in prison for beating a man for choking his wife. He started a ink shop with 3 others that were there too. She ran the front and was off of bad boys because if her dad. Instant attraction on both sides but she was fighting it plus she's a major hard case. So with alot of patience and giving her space and talking they were able to have a chance.
This is a short instant love romance. King gets out of prison and goes to his tattoo shop and meets Ronnie who he falls head-over-heels for. Can they have a future?

I enjoyed reading this book. Ronnie watched as King walks through the tattoo shop for the first time. She is instantly attracted, but puts up her walls. King breaks those walls down hard.
This was just a little slice of heaven. I loved the chemistry between King and Ronnie from the start. She was a tough cookie but King didn't let that stop him from getting his prize. He fell in love with her from the first look and has never doubted his feelings.
I honestly do not expect a lot when it comes to 34 page novellas.... I go in expecting smut and loose story but this was just not it. Even the smut felt almost forced and not exciting at all. I was going to read the series (4 stand alone but interconnected) but I DNF-ed 20% into the second one.
