The Bible is filled with hard questions. One of Paul's hard questions was, "Who has known the mind of the Lord?" (Rom. 11:34). Is it possible to know what God has in mind for us? Can we know what His plans are for our future? The Bible says we can. When the psalmist Asaph was particularly depressed, he asked a hard question about God. "Has His promise failed forevermore?" (Ps. 77:8). Is it possible that God has failed to keep His promises? The Bible says no. We can know what God's plans are for His people and what promises He has made to us. The mind of God (Rom. 11:34), the mind of Christ (I Cor. 2:16) and the mind of the Spirit (Rom. 8:27) are all revealed to us in the Bible. So, too, are the promise of the Father (Acts 1:4), the promise of Christ (Eph. 3:6) and the promise of the Holy Spirit (Eph. 1:13). Would you like to know what plans and promises God has in mind for you? You can! In the pages that follow, four of God's major plans for His people and many promises that support those plans are explored. God wants you to learn of those plans and to latch onto those promises. Let's begin with the greatest plan of all.
