I really enjoyed this comprehensive look at the story of record winning racehorse Makybe Diva. The author presents a well-written account, which is easy to read, with all the relevant background information. The format is cleverly paralleled with the history of the Melbourne Cup, and includes contextual references to national and worldwide events of significance.
