I've said it before, I typically don't go for the "sweet" romances first....I like my books with at least a little darkness ingrained into the story being told. Every so often I find one, like this, that intrigues and pulls me right into it's web. It had every ingredient necessary to make a worthy read. Sweet, steamy, slow burn, hot alpha, strong heroine, office romance, HEA, extended epilogue.....all boxes checked.

"This isn't too personal, right? Feels a little intimate." I'd already fucked her ten times against the glass window of my office in my mind. Personal was relative, but she didn't know that.

Told in dual POV, this standalone in the Miles Brothers series is a slow burning steamy office romance where the heroine is sassy and headstrong, the hero is a gentleman and hard to resist, and the sexual tension is boiling over . It is sweet with no dark elements, ending with a HEA.

After beloved CEO of Miles Private Jets (Geo Miles) passes away, PR Director Skylar Jade learns that the new CEO is his hot as sin son Kade Miles. He has never stepped foot in their building, yet she now must work her magic making him the face of the company. It doesn't help that he is anything but what she had assumed much less the fact she can't stop thinking inappropriate thoughts every time he is around. She has worked too hard to earn the respect of her peers for her hard work, as a former Calvin Klein model it is hard to get anyone to see beyond her beauty......she refuses to throw it all away just because her new boss was sculpted by the Gods.

"This thing between me and Kade felt like I was missing out on the best think that might ever happen to me, but he was my fucking boss. It wasn't that easy."

Kade Miles is determined to carry on his father's legacy and make him proud. He may not understand why he left him the most successful company he owned but he refuses to fail. He almost forgets all his rules when he meets sexy and sassy Skylar. He knows he can't cross that line but the more he works with her on his image, the more he is willing to do whatever it takes to get her in his bed....long term.

"I was going to fall in love. Fuck my life, I was going to worship him"

They are both responsible adults, why can't they have a little fun without it affecting their office relationship? Can one night satisfy their intense craving for each other, or will it just be the beginning of something that can change both their lives forever?

Overall, I absolutely adored this story. Kade is not my normal "cup of tea", but his sweet gentleman side was just as sexy as his shameless flirty and dirty side. Skylar is so headstrong and sassy, she was a refreshing change from the weak minded heroines I have been flooded with lately. The story was perfectly paced and the plot didn't contain any unnecessary drama or twists. The only reason I could not give it 5 stars is because there were too many typos to put it at the same level as perfectly edited books with phenomenal stories being told.

If you are in the mood for a sweet romance, this one will definitely scratch that itch. Since it is part of a series of the Miles brothers, I am really interested in the other brothers as well......I have a feelings Lars is going to be a wild one!

This was an enjoyable read. Kade is now in charge of the company. His father passed away and left it to him. The problem is that he doesn't have much experience. Skylar is the PR lady. They obviously work together. They start to date and things get serious. Skylar has some doubts because she is afraid what people will think. Thankfully in the end it all works out.

This is book two in the Miles Brothers Romance series. This is Kade's story. Kade is on his way to the lawyer's office to find out which company his father left him to run as he has passed away. When he is stuck in a traffic jam. He gets out of his car to find a woman having car trouble. She explains her situation to Kade and he pushes her car out of the way to get traffic moving again and to ease the woman's anxiety and grief. Kade makes it to the lawyer's office for his meeting. He is to take over Miles Private Jets. Skyler is the PR Director at Miles Private Jets and she is prickly when she first meets Kade. It is clear these two are attracted to one another but are they willing to cross that professional line? If they do and things don't work out, will they still be able to work together? Choices and decisions, Kade is taking this role seriously, he wants to excel at this and make his father proud. In Kade's mind, it is time to grow up. But is a shot at a HEA worth the risk? This is on the shorter side but it still contains a great story and a HEA.for another Miles brother. I cannot wait to read more of this series with the next brother, Lars.

Will he be able to prove himself to her

Kade by Nikki Riker is another well written book in the Miles Brothers Romance series. The author has again written a well crafted story-line and interesting characters in Kade and Skylar.
Kade is one of the Miles brothers and has inherited Miles Private Jets company when his father dies. Skylar works at the company as the Public Relations Director. When they encounter each other there are definite sparks flying between them. Kade had never thought he would settle down but things change and he definitely wants it all with Skylar. But Skylar isn't just a pushover because she has career goals and doesn't believe that dating her boss would be good for her reputation to say the least. Kade is definitely going to have to work for what he wants and prove to Skylar that they can be together.

Kade was an engaging and interesting story which I enjoyed reading. I would recommend this book.

Jade wanted to make his dad proud he;s so whatever it takes to make the company stay successful.Shes the,head of PR its her job to make him look good and clean up his image if necessary .But just looking at his picture made her want him.He;s her boss so no way but Made never thought hed settle down her been author of women in his life but no woman made him feel like the beauty that has him twisted in knots. Will Skylar fall in love with Kade?Will Made fall for her?There are so many twists an turns to this story will keep you riveted until the very last page.I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes and you can feel their emotions and their pain.I can hardly wait to see what;s next by this multi talented author.

This is Kade and Skylar’s book. Kade is one of the boys that Geoffrey Miles and his wife adopted when they were babies. When Geoffrey dies he leaves each of the boys a business that he feels is right for them. Kade receives Miles Private Jets. This is where he meets Skylar who is the PR Director. Skylar gives Kade a hard time from the moment they meet and Kade loves it. Skylar has big aspirations for her career and doesn’t think dating the boss would be good for her reputation or her career.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s on the shorter side but still enjoyable. I don’t feel like there is anything missing with the shorter story. I’m really looking forward to the next brother’s story.

A well written entertaining read. It will keep you flipping pages to the very end to see what happens next with Kade and Skylar. Kade just lost his father and inherited one of his businesses. He doesn't think he is ready for the job or wants the job. That all changes when he meet Skylar the PR Director. He is hooked and wants her. She challenges him and keeps him on his toes. The story moved along well, the characters were enjoyable and had great chemistry. Look forward to reading more about all of the brothers and their stories.

This is a great book by Nikki Riker. This is the story of Kade and Skyler. Kade's father passes away and leaves Kade his business, Miles Private Jets to him. Skyler is the PR director there. Sparks fly form the moment they meet with Skyler giving him a hard time, and he loves it. The chemistry and interacitions between them pulled me in and I couldn't stop reading! It's a fast paced hot and steamy romance that I highly recommend especially for any fan of Nikki Riker! I can't wait to read more form this author!!!

This is a sweet romance with very little angst. Kade inherits the CEO position and ownership of a multi-million dollar business from his adopted father. Sky is in charge of public relations for the company and for Kade stepping into an unknown position. Working together every day makes it difficult to keep it strictly platonic. I liked how they finally dropped the pretense with each other and their relationship grew. I would have liked more to their story instead of chunks of time passing so quickly. The author also refers to his scars, but never explains them so parts of the story felt missing.

I thoroughly enjoyed Kade, book 2 in the Miles Brothers Romance Series. After his death, Geo Miles left each of his sons one of the family companies. Of his 5 adopted sons, Geo left Kade the Miles Private Jets. On his first day he meets Skylar, PR Director for the company. Kade is definitely attracted to former model Skylar but she is not going to make it easy on him. The harder she pushes him, the more he falls for her. He also begins to feel more confident in his new role. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot! But her career is very important so will Kade be able to convince Sky to take a chance on love?

A Really Enjoyable, Must Read Book from Nikki Riker

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. This book from Nikki Riker has a great storyline and engaging, likeable characters that I loved reading about. I really liked their chemistry and interaction and they pulled me into their story. This is a really great read that will draw you in from the first page! It is an emotionally deep, well written, funny, witty, and engaging page turner. The characters are likeable, the interaction between them is interesting to read, and their chemistry is instant and off the charts! An enjoyable read and is definitely recommended! The second book in the Miles Brothers Romance series and I will be reading the next book. A quick short well written story. Kade receives Miles Private Jets after Geoffrey Miles the man that adopted him as a baby dies. Kade meets Skylar who is the PR Director and they do not get off to a good start. A quick enjoyable read.
I felt that the author had the ability to convey some depth to the personalities of the characters bringing a greater sense of reality to her story.
The writing draws you in and keeps you interested until the end.
The chemistry between the H and h is great plus their attitudes and events going on make the story even richer.

Loved the book it was great the story was well written and the characters were interesting. Kade took over his fathers company as CEO. Skylar is head of PR so she works close to Kade. The chemistry between these two are off the charts hot and steamy with a lot of emotions.

This book is about a man that wants to do the right thing for him and he's Dad but not sure how. Kade stopped to help a woman that was having car trouble and she just buried her husband that day. Kade was not sure how he would fill his father's shoes at the company that was his home away from home.

Another good story in this series about the adoptive brothers. It's Kade's turn. He is dead set on never falling in love. He started working in the company his father left him, after he died and Skylar, former model, works for him. I loved this story, Kade and Skylar were both strong characters.

My car is named Skyler so that made me giggle. I loved Skyler and Kade, their chemistry was wonderful. I just wish that it were longer so we could get more drama and answers. I will be bothered forever about where the scars came from. You can’t keep mentioning them without giving me the scoop.

I liked this book mostly because of Kade. I didn't much care for Skylar. I found her to be a pill and way to judge mental.
