She needs a husband to keep her son. He's wanted to take their relationship to the next level, but she's always pushing him away. Will their trivial tie take them all the way to happily-ever-after?
Ivory Osburn has a six-year-old son she hasn't told very many people about. Certainly not the handsome cowboy billionaire she's had her eye on for a few months. She starts a relationship with Tripp Walker, only to push him away when he gets too close. She's not sure how to explain things to him, and she's fine on her own. She is.
Until she isn't. Until her ex threatens to take her son from her because she can't provide a stable income, a stable home, or a stable family life. Desperate, Ivory turns to the one person she doesn't want to think badly of her.
Tripp's been trying to figure out how to get on the same page as Ivory for a while. When she comes asking him to tie the knot with her—on paper only, of course—he thinks maybe that marriage certificate will be the common ground they need. Plus, the sparks with Ivory are hot, and he wants to find out if they can have a real, lasting relationship.
To keep her son, she'll risk her life. And anything else she has to—even Tripp's heart. Could their trivial tie be exactly what they both need to achieve a happily-ever-after?

I enjoy reading about the characters Liz Isaacson creates. The characters are painted with her words on the pages. Each page draws you more into the stories about families working together through life's everyday problems. Each character is looking for answers when the answers are there for them, they just need to open their hearts and minds to them. Their 'hearts' are what's the matter, in their love life, and in submission to doing things God's way.
Ivory had been married to a man who made her question if she could ever really love another man. Daniel had not been the man she had promised to cherish and love forever so when he left she and her son, Oliver, Ivory was determined to concentrate on Oliver's needs and never fall in love again. But, along came Tripp Walker. He could make her question herself and make the possibility of loving him something wonderful. It took several tries but finally Ivory accepted Tripp's help, along with a marriage proposal to help prevent Daniel from taking Oliver from her in a custody battle. Would she ever really be able to give Tripp the love he deserved or would their love story end before it really got started?
This was another in the Seven Sons Ranch in Three Rivers Romance series and a sweet story. I love the stories of the other brothers and their side stories that are included, as well. I want to cheer for Liam and Miah and all the others. I listened to the audio version of this book which is done very well.
Boring and stupid doesn’t even begin to cover this book. I didn’t make it far with this one because I couldn’t stand that Tripp was willing to give Ivory everything (which was stupid considering how she treated him before) while she just selfishly used him. Her whole reason for keeping her distance from Tripp was also irritating. DNF!
Tripp’s Trivial Tie is book 2 in the series by Liz Isaacson. Four of the seven Walker sons have moved to Three Rivers . All seven are billionaires from money left by their Father. All have managed their money well and made more. They had never really had a place to call home so when Rhett bought this ranch, they chose to use it as their home. Although Rhett bought the ranch, Jeremiah runs it and the twins Tripp and Liam have made it the headquarters for their computer businesses. Walker had stayed on the rodeo circuit but now has come home to retire; but is working for another ranch right now. The younger boys haven’t made it to the ranch yet. Rhett broke the pac they had made about not having any women around by marrying Evelyn from the next door ranch. Now Tripp is looking longingly at Ivory Osborn. He dated her but she broke it off with him and he doesn’t understand. He isn’t fiving up though. When he learns that she is completely broke and is being sued by her ex-husband for custody of their son, Oliver, he intervenes. He suggests they marry and he pays off her loans. They can then show that she is able to care for him. Will it work or will her ex-husband be able to prove their marriage is a farce?
This was a good read. Ivory needs help proving she can take care of her son. Her ex is trying to get full custody of their son. Tripp has liked Ivory for a long time and is willing to help. My only complaint is that Ivory didn't want to let herself accept help or be loved. I get that she had a tough time with her last relationship. However, it took too long for her to get over it. Thankfully in the end she was finally able to get past all of it and get her happy ending.
Great book! Sweet romance. Ivory thinks she has lost her ability to find love. Her husband left her and now wants custody of their son. She needs help yo fight it. She ask Tripp to help her. He is in love with Ivory, but can she love him back?
This a good book. The characters are interesting and engaging. I love the Walker brothers. The plot is very similar to the first story, marrying before they are sure they are in love.
I love this author's stories. They touch my heart and resonate with me. As a lot of people my heart has been trampled on and these stories get me. Liz Isaason is a great story teller.

Ivory thinks she is ready to start dating again, after her husband Daniel abandons her and their son, Oliver three years ago and approaches Evelyn (Foster) Walker, Three Rivers unofficial matchmaker. When she tells her who she wants to meet, Evelyn tells her no. Only because she's told her husband Rhett that she won't set up his brother's when he asked her not to. As Tripp is coming out of the post office he runs into the most beautiful woman he's ever laid eyes on, Ivory! Completely by accident she has her arms full of packages she needs to mail from her jewelry making business, she had no idea that he would be there! Only Tripp is not happy with his wife since he thinks she set things in motion, and doesn't seem to be able to listen to reason that she didn't! When Tripp finds Ivory crying some time later after being on again off again he needs to find out why and figure out how to help her! What happens next is nothing short of amazing! You will want to read this great story by Liz Isaacson! So far I am truly enjoying her Seven Sons series!
Like his brother, Rhett before him, Tripp married Ivory in a fake marriage. This time the reason was to keep her from losing her seven-year-old son in a custody battle. She knew her ex-husband only wanted custody to hurt her, so she asked Tripp, who was head-over-heels in love with her, to marry her. Tripp knew she didn't love him, that for her it was a marriage of convenience. But he loved her and her son, so he agreed. The rest of the story is one of tortured emotions and a separation. They finally find their happy ending when, after counseling, Ivory realizes that she can love Tripp as much as he loves her. I loved this story of the brothers who married to save their wives from ruin but ended up completely happy in lasting marriages.
A moving book - the gift for family & friend with walls so high no one can get in. This is how you trust yourself again & let love it!
A moving story of a single mom ivory that is doing all the right things and everything is just stacked against her. I think many can relate. What we forget is stuffing all the feeling away & building walls is not protecting us but hurting us & those we love. Trip Walker one of 7 walker brother and a twin. He is determined to get this woman he can't get out of his mind to go on a date. This is a romance story that really can help someone that needs to take that leap off faith. V1, S1 clean romance story. More reviews please check out my instagram for more reviews, announcements & more. @my2centsbooklover. Thank you!
Why has it taken me so long to find the author Liz Isaacson? This is the second book I have read by her (It’s also the second book in this series), and I am enjoying it supremely! I love how she weaves in other characters and their points of view. It truly is like being in a lovely community, and I can’t wait to see the other stories unfold! I was a little unsure about Ivory, at first. But soon, I could see how her ex had given her PTSD that caused her stress and depression. This Situation was handled with compassion, in a way that didn’t make the story itself depressing. I received an ARC copy of this book and I am leaving a voluntary review.
Tripp's Trival Tie is book 2 in the Seven Sons Ranch A Three Rivers Romance. This story is about Tripp who has been dating Ivory until she would tell him she needed a break, and this has happened more than once. When he gets another date with her she suggests that they get married in name only to save her son Oliver. Tripp does everything to make her feel like she is loved and taken care of but still Ivory can't feel for Tripp like he loves her. You honestly get so emotionally involved in this story that it really hurts what is happening to them and that just goes to prove how good this story is written.
Wow! I knew this one would be different and I absolutely loved the marriage of convenience aspects and how they were different from the first book.
Also loved the therapy representation as we all need a bit more therapy in our lives!
This book was sweet, heartfelt, has an adorable kid side character and I loved the communication and faith elements.
💋Kisses only and simple references to married couples "sleeping together" and "making love to" each other. Very appropriate for the story and literally it only says those things
⚠️Ex husband who left his wife and kids because he's a jerk face
Reading this story, I realized that Ivory was the typical victim of a mentally abusive husband. Daniel controlled her and then divorced her leaving her with a 4 year old son, Oliver. Not only that, but he also used Oliver to keep trying to control and hurt her. He tried to take Oliver away from her.
Tripp Walker, another of the billionaire sons, had a thing for Ivory. He tried very hard to not get involved but when she asked him to marry her in a pretend marriage to save her son, what could he do? He had to say “yes” of course. But Tripp actually did not feel that this was a pretend and wanted it to be so much more.
Maturity Rating: Violence: 🟩 G (General Audience) Spiciness: 🟩 G (General Audience)
Tropes: Contract marriage, fake dating
My notes: Seemed like a total rewrite of the first book with slight variations. Again, missed a bunch of potential character development especially considering that they are sleeping together. I can appreciate not being sensual since this is marked Christian, but they completely skipped over the internal dilemma of “is this ok knowing we’re ‘fake’ but we still want each other” Skimming the premise for future books in the series looks like it’s more of the same, so I won’t continue.
I loved this installment in the series. I actually read it last as I started the series with the 3rd book - I most certainly do NOT recommend that. So, I knew all of these characters and their outcomes and futures before ever starting the book, however, that really didn't make it any less impactful. It was full of amazing characters and life lessons. Second and third and fifth and seventh chances - love gives every chance, every day, and it keeps on giving.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
After reading one of Liz Isaacson's Seven Sons Ranch books out of order, I decided to start at the beginning and read them in order. I found when I started reading Tripp's Trivial Tie, it felt like I was reading the first book all over again. I enjoy Ms. Isaacson's novels, but I must admit this left me disappointed. the story-line was too familiar and the cast was the same as the book I just finished. After reading the publishers description for the other books I decided they were all too alike.
Tripp had fallen in love with Ivory. She had a son named Oliver. Her ex-husband was trying to sue Ivory for full custody of Oliver, stating she could not adequately provide for him. She was 3 months behind on the mortgage and they were eating pan cakes for every meal. She knew she had to do something. Tripp loved her and wanted to marry her but she kept putting him off. Things get complicated, you will need to read and see what happens next.
Tripp Walker agrees to marry Ivory Osburn who is behind in her mortgage payments and her ex-husband is seeking permanent custody of their son. Ivory really doesn’t really want to be married. Tripp isn’t sure what to do to get her to want him and their marriage. Liz Isaacson has incorporated themes of acceptance and trust issues in the plot of this book and does a great job holding your interest. This is a must read series for sure.
Romantic Christian Western. Tripp Walker cannot get Ivory out of his head. The woman makes him crazy. He has the constant urge to rescue her. Ivory needs rescuing but she will never admit it. She is determined to remain independent but when her ex-husband threatens to take her son away, she agrees to marry Tripp - in name only! Can they make this work? Teri Clarke Linden is excellent as the narrator.
Tripp, along with the other Walker brothers have sworn off dating. Tripp has been doing a good job of it until Ivory comes along. Now he can't seem to get enough of her. Ivory has been in a bad relationship before and it didn't end well. She hasn't felt loved or felt capable of loving someone new and it scared her. So with Tripp's unwavering love Ivory's heart starts to change and she can finally fell whole again. Such a sweet clean read!
The second of the seven sons ranch series. It is a real page-turner. Tripp offers Ivory assistance by marrying her so she can keep custody of her son and pay her overdue bills. Her ex-husband Daniel tries to get custody just to cause her problems. Ivory has to deal with her belief she cannot love any man again before they get their HEA. Tripp has loved her for a long time so is willing to wait. Highly recommended reading.
You have to love this family! They are full of Faith and hope and good intentions. So far their pact is falling apart and they all seem happier for it. These are good and decent people and the brothers seem to realize they are blessed. Time and again they help others. They keep their focus on God and live their lives with principles.
It was a sweet easy read with livable characters. I loved Oliver I'm this book as he is just a sweet, innocent kid and seeing the characters interact with him was nice. It was a predictable plot line but that didn't make me enjoy it any less.
It was sweet and clean with no overly descriptive or graphic scenes and just some references to sex after marriage.
I loved this story of Ivory and Tripp. Truly a dream come true romance. Although they had plenty of problems to resolve, mostly overcoming a prior bad relationship, you could feel the love that they had for each other. So excited to read the next book in this series to see what happens to the next brother.
I've read many of Liz Isaacson's books and enjoyed them. Gave them a 5 star. After reading book1 of the Seven Sons series, I would not classify it Christian. I started book 2 and it was worse so I quit reading it. The institution of marriage is devalued and sex in a fake marriage is okay in these books.Would not let my daughters read them.
Usually love is easy to see,, but sometimes a person has been so hurt that love is buried so deep inside that no one else can find it or figure out how to unlock the feelings..Tripp is trying his best to find a way to unlock Ivory's feelings.. With love there is a way to bring the deepest feelings to the surface...
