He’s ready for his mate...yesterday. My job and my side-projects have always dominated my life. As a ranger in the local national park, I’ve dedicated myself to helping people and animals, thinking that one day my mate would come along. But after years of being alone, I now know I have to make a move if I want the family I so crave.
My best friend Roman thinks this Male-Order App is the way. Order a husband? Like ordering books online? While I think he’s out of his mind, I fill out the questionnaire and wait for an omega to bite. Still don’t think one will.
My name is Aquila. When I left my ex, he didn’t even notice I was gone until he needed money. He’s been clear about not wanting children or getting married. And I was fine with it...until I wasn’t and neither was the animal inside of me. I wanted more. So I finally finished the questionnaire on the Male-Order App and the next day got a 90 percent match, but he lives on the other side of the country. Maybe a change of scenery is just what this omega needs.
The Grumpy Bear's Omega is a super sweet with knotty heat MM mpreg featuring a hotter than hot forest ranger, a cute, nerdy omega, and resulting in the cutest baby bear shifter ever. It is the first book in the Male-Order Males series but can be read as a stand-alone.

Absolute Perfection from one of the Queens of Mpreg!!!
Adored this sweet and sexy story, with two awesome MCs! Lots of happy tears and sweet sexy times. A perfect match between the geeky accountant and the smoking hot Forest Ranger. If the rest of this series is this good it's gonna be one awesome ride!
Cute and fluffy. I liked Hawke but I wouldn't characterize him as a grumpy grizzly...more like a soft teddy bear. I'm glad Aquila finally got to spread his wings and make his dreams come true.
This whole book felt more like a draft or detailed outline than a finished copy. Abruptly ended sentences, wrong names used, personality shifts.. For example, Aquila left his ex because he wanted a family, but when he found handmade baby furniture in Hawke's shop he dang near had a panic attack thinking his new mate wanted a baby. Also, when Hawke brought the subject up, Aquila hedged saying he wanted to wait a few years.. Then, there was the weird attempt to evolve Aquila's ex from a mooch into a violent and dangerous stalker. The man was supposedly broke, but he managed to make several trips across the country for a couple hours at a time? As for romantic connections, I wasn't feeling it between the two MCs. Sure, the words on the page said they liked each other and wanted to be with each other, but there wasn't anything that made me believe it. All in all, the blurb sounded interesting so I gave it a shot. Unfortunately, it was flat and confusing. I can't recommend it to anyone in good conscience.
This was the first book in a new series by an author that I have read before. Hawke is an alpha grizzly bear shifter who works as a ranger in a national park he is also lonely. When his friend Roman suggest he sign up for "Male-Order Mates" he does but doesn't think anything will come of it turns out he gets a match. Aquila who is an omega sun near shifter who is sharing a single apartment with his friend Fred after he left his ex Quinn who he found out was using him. Aquila signs up to find a mate he moves from N.Y. to the Pacific northwest to meet his match. This was a good read that I liked. I liked both of these characters both of them have been hurt by exes they wanted to take it slow and get to know each other. This book did have at least one error in it. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
Good sweet shifter story. I like both characters. Liked the nerdy vs the grizzly. Loved the sweetness.writing was good, smexy was a little lacking and best friend was good
The story started off really good with a good back story on Aquilla and his accounting business and his struggles after leaving a neglectful alpha. I also liked Hawke and his homestead in the woods. However when they finally meet the story takes off at an uncomfortable pace. It’s like a highlights/cliff notes for a romance or skimming. We are told the high points one after the other minus the nuance and small details that really illustrate characters and cause us to feel for them. So while the story could have been good this author needs to go back and fill in the scenes and add complexity. Idk what the point of a book like this is since it wasn’t even particularly steamy.
This was a little rough for me. I don't enjoy insta-love that much though usually I can forgive it in shifter stories. This was just a little too rushed for me. These two were all in on each other without even meeting. There was no hesitation in their relationship really. And well, some of the dialogue was really clunky as well. I really disliked the two calling each other alpha/omega as terms of endearment(?). There were other very sweet moments between these two though that did redeem the story some for me.
This Author continues to write these amazing, and wonderful stories that have a great storyline and a lovely HEA. i really adore her stories her men are just great. Hawke is a forest ranger and a grizzly bear shifter, and is ready for a mate, so he signs up to the ..find my mate.. app, not to long afterwards he gets a response back. Aquila is an omega, living with a friend after walking away from his ex after he had taken all his money. However he is feeling restless and sees on his computer ...find my mate... app and decides to apply. These two are totally compatible and the attraction between them both is lovely Aquila is taken back by how he is looked after by Hawke these two have two weeks to get to know each other, and find out more about the other half.
Hawke is a lonely grizzly. His friend Roman talks him into using an app. Awhile is frustrated with his ex and his roommate so he answers Hawke's ad. The adventure is amazing! Loved it!
I wanted something quick so I checked this out. I liked it well enough, but I felt that it was too rushed and there were way too many details left out. I liked Hawke and Aquila okay. Their relationship just didn't blow me away. Also, the blurb may say it is a super sweet with knotty heat MM mpreg featuring a hotter than hot forest ranger, a cute, nerdy omega, and resulting in the cutest baby bear shifter ever, but there's no knotting, the 'cutest baby bear shifter ever' is only on-page a couple of times and not as a little bear. There were also quite a few typos, even one time where Aquila's ex's name was used instead of Aquila. There's a lot of jumping ahead without giving the reader any info on what happens in between.
As much as I liked Roman in this one, I can't say for sure if I'll be reading his story.

To my ratings: A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year), it's like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
I love this book! An amazing story about two bear shifters who find everything they ever wanted in each other. Hawke is a grizzly bear shifter and a park ranger who has recently begun to wish for a mate and family. Upon the urging of his best friend Roman, he finds himself signing up for an app that will match him with his mate. Aquila has finally left Quinn after years of being taken advantage of. While staying with a friend, he accidentally brings up the mating app on his computer. Figuring he has nothing to lose, he gives it a go. He and Hawke are matched and what follows is an amazing tale of love, loss and finding the true love only a true mate can give you. Throw in a little harassment from Quinn and you have a well rounded story that is an absolute joy to read!

What a sweet book. I really enjoyed it. If you’re looking for a sweet low angst read then this is the book for you. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.
Oh what a wonderful romance! I was intrigued, drawn in from the first pages. An app that finds your mate & delivers him to your doorstep? What a novel idea. Come along and join in the fun. Forest ranger alpha Hawke's biological clock is ringing. But he's not into the whole bar/ club scene, so how does he find a husband? Well, there's this mail- order husband app. When it finds Hawke a match, he invites the man to visit. Aquila's last relationship ended badly. Moving across the country seems reasonable. All he needs to do his job is his laptop & wi- fi. When he meets Hawke in person, the chemistry is as immediate as it is inevitable. Hawke's grizzly bear wants his mate. Now. Aquila's sun bear is equally insistent. But their human sides take it slow. When they finally let their bears out to play, the fun really starts. Let yourself be a part of Hawke & Aquila's lives. Marvel at the beauty of the forest. Watch their love grow. Keep a fan handy for the hot, sexy scenes. Ooh, did I mention the deranged ex, the bestest friend, and the adorable baby? You will love this book! This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
I was looking for a sweet but kinda antsy book which wasn't too long. I've been really stressed while abiding the Stay at Home orders during this COVID 19 Pandemic. My state is the worse effected. Watching the both the local & national news is extremely nerve wracking. And with 24/7 coverage it's difficult to avoid while remaining on top of the Governor's latest directives.
So I was in dire need of a getaway romance. There are too many daily deaths reported to indulge in the other genres I enjoy reading: true crime, police procedurals, suspenseful thrillers, noir, and horror.
This book was perfect. It was sweet. The characters well deserving of the results of their hesitant mail order dating sign up. Both men were lonely. The Grizzly extremely so. The other Bear recently out of a long term relationship that had left him feeling used & stupid, but eager to escape. He wanted to find out if he'd caused the misery in his previous relationship or were algorithms of compatibility really a thing?
Yep I know for a fact Love Grins are a true testament to ones love barometer. Just ask an Alpha or Omega about their newly found mate? I hate to tell you, but you'll be blinded by their dazzling smile. And throw in a little meatloaf and you'll be smiling too.
So, I recently read 2 books with similar premises - this, and https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5.... They're both the first of a series and they're by the same author/group of authors.
The worlds are slightly different. In this book, it would appear that humans are aware of shifters and that they comingle. Our alpha and omega heroes are matched by an online dating site. The alpha is a wilderness ranger, living in the middle of nowhere, Washington State.
The omega is a work from home tax specialist and it's the middle of tax season. So of course, as soon as they're matched, he packs up his life and goes to join the ranger. In the middle of nowhere. Where there's no internet and he can't work.
Makes perfect sense, no?
Ok, we have a world in which male omegas get pregnant (at least, the shifter ones do), and, in which there are also females. And the 2 genders, apparently, are male and female. With me so far?
Omega isn't a gender and male omegas give birth. And this is perfectly normal. So what, I have to wonder, is the purpose of females? Do they come in alpha and omega, as well? Are all the pairings homosexual?
A little bit of world building would not have gone amiss!
Overall, I had a pretty nice time reading the book and will likely try the next in the series. I think it was a bit too soapy for me (loose logic and high drama out of left field), which I think was intensified by it being a novella.
Hawke is a 36 year old park ranger. Aquila is an accountant of unknown age. I assume younger than Hawke just because of common romance tropes.
There were fairly frequent typos in the book (the simple kind where a proofing would have caught them). Some of the writing and dialogue was a little…I don’t know, stilted maybe (lack of contractions in speech and odd phrasing or lack of transition at times)? Awkward in spots. Not bad, just a bit odd. I also always think it’s strange when in a/b/o people refer to each other as “alpha” or “omega” instead of their names, and that happened almost constantly in this book especially after the midway point. It reads awkwardly for me. Also I know it’s a novella but some parts were extremely rushed.
I was confused by Hawke’s backstory.
So all in all pretty enjoyable but hard for me to get into because of the above stuff.
Who says you can't find love through app? Hawke is ready to have a family but doesn't want to hang around bars looking for his mate. His best bud advised him to try to find his match going through a mail order dating app. I LOL when Hawke was like " you have to pay"...LOL. Anyway, Aquila(beautiful name) a geeky/nerdy accountant omega just left his relationship from an alpha he been with for years that didn't appreciate him. He's a little lost until he decided to give the app a try. These two lovely bears were matched and they decided to meet each other. Aquila goes to meet Hawke and it was like coming home..for both. I loved the way the two got to know one another and had a very good line of communication when issues came up. It was satisfying to see how they handled Aquila's awful ex and the their baby was just the icing on the cake. Absolutely love this author's omega/alpha stories. I highly recommend this book and all her others.

It was a pleasure to read this delightfully, sweet MM/Mpreg shifter romance & it has a well-paced, interesting plot with unique characters that entwine well with each other & react with believable emotional feelings while they go on a journey of discovery as they continue to develop throughout the story-line. There is: a forest ranger & alpha grizzly bear (Hawke) tired of being alone is given a tip-off by his fellow grizzly shifter & best friend (Roman) about a Male-Order App (Find My Mate Now) which Hawke duly uses & is matched to a rather cute & nerdy omega sun bear shifter (Aquila), Aquila’s money-hungry stalker ex (Quinn), manipulations, some heartache, decisions, mild intrigue, drama, humor, confrontations, mild violence, determination, insecurities, protectiveness, anxiety, discovery, cynical thoughts, memories, explanations, surprises, contentment, some steam & a satisfying conclusion.
Hawke wants a mate and family so he enters his details on Male-Order App. and waits. When his friend and fellow Forest Ranger Roman asks Hawke why he has been so grumpy lately he tells him that it is because he wants a mate and a family so Roman suggests he use the Male-Order App. and with some reluctance he fill out there questionnaire and waits for a response. A month ago Omega Aquila left his partner of five years as he wanted a family and his partner Quinn did not then as he tries to sort out their shared account he finds that the money thay he had been putting in had been transferred to another account that he has no access to. He was staying with his friend Fred but trying to work when Fred brings home men to enjoy for the evening disturbs his work he know he needs to do something so he applies on Male-Order App.

This was a sweet story of how Hawke met Aquila via a mail order app which helped these two mates find each other. A sweet story which will make you smile. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
