This side character's love story is rapidly unfolding... Emotions are running higher in volume 2, as we finally see things from the perspective of Irie-kun, who's fallen for Nobuko. Little by little they grow closer, and each gesture is leading up to something special. Everyone's cheering this couple on in the eagerly-awaited second installment!
In this volume, we finally get to have a piece of Irie's point of view. The character concept art is swell and I actually loved the main couple's timid and calm features. I think it's my first time reading a couple trope like this. And I adored the fact that Irie carried a date itinerary with him on their date! And they're so polite with each other! So cute, but it still got its boring moments.
Omg boy, YOU are in LOVE with her.. ♥️ The difference in their approach is that Irie starts the steps to spark love between them while she keeps her feelings. Just prepare girl, to be seduced by him ☝️😌 (LOL will he even ‘seduce’? 🤣 I can’t imagine him doing that

This one is Irie's POV, interspersed with FL's POV as well. He's blushing a lot in this also the drawing is getting more and more 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗲 . It fits the personality of the main character very well, and I am very related to some of it, namely:
1) I run away when I bumped into people I know outside 🤣 (dont judge me) 2) I have never fallen in love
So when Irie realized that he loves her, I can understand how flustered and beautiful that feeling it , that just appeared for the first time without realizing it.
As he said, (っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ it's hot ♥. _____________________________
Admittedly this book is cliche, not in a bad way but more to 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻.
The plot is predictable but they are both too cute, the side characters are also very fun people, nice and supportive. I just think that her POV part doesn't need to be repeated again in Irie's POV, making it a bit repetitive.
Although I want to know what he feels and thinks, but I prefer if it is in a different scene, not in the same scene with different POV. However I still enjoyed it, I am getting more and more in love with both of them. ♥️
I never knew I needed a "shy person going out on a date with another shy person" trope in my life until I read this! They are so adorable! I adore reading both characters ' perspectives on each other and what goes through their minds as they navigate unfamiliar situations and feelings. They are both so shy that dual POV really works to understand them well. I also adore their co-workers! I want to hug them all.
This was very lackluster. Even though we get a date between them, there are no sparks. I'm dropping this series because there's nothing really here to keep my engaged.
The characters are really cute and I like how you saw both of their perspectives 🤭 I love how both of them are flustered about the same thing but react slightly differently too 😌
We got to see Irie's POV in this volume and I LOVED it! I felt like I didn't 100% know him in the first volume but now I think he's the absolute cutest. A perfect pair! <3
This series is still charming in its own way, but the story was a tad formulaic this time. I guess I wish the two main characters had not been rushed into dating; the quickened pace ruined some of the sweetness and realism there could have been.
This book is so cutie. I like how this story is evolving. Both of the characters are so timid, but idk it’s kinda cute. We’ll see if I read the next one.
Two adorably shy people, coming to terms with how they feel about each other. Tanaka is so timid. It just makes her more adorable. I absolutely love her big, dark eyes. I also love her cute little button nose. She may seem kind of vanilla, but there's nothing wrong with that. She doesn't seem to wear makeup or jewelry, so I suspect she may be something of a tomboy, which makes her even more adorable to me. The scene in the park - when Irie was on his knees, putting band-aids on Tanaka's heels, I just wanted to shout at him, "Take her hand & softly kiss it! Then tell her she's beautiful!" Heh. Yeah, but that would have been out of character for Irie, and if he had done it, Tanaka probably would have been so shocked & surprised that she would have jumped up & ran away. Then she would have regretted running off the rest of the night, & would have repeatedly replayed the scene her head & smiled. But then she'd probably be so embarrassed that she wouldn't be able to face Irie at work. Ah, to be young & in love. Such wonderful memories of my youth. I certainly was never shy, in fact I was obnoxiously outgoing & friendly. Maybe that's part of why the girls all loved me. I was always good at helping people see the silver linings, & the positive/constructive parts of events that have seemed bad. People, especially women, have always opened up to me quickly. I've been told over & over that I'm easy to talk to, approachable, a good listener, kind, thoughtful, & always mindful of other's POV. I knew a lot of shy people in junior high, HS, & college. I played matchmaker on many occasions. Tanaka & Irie are exactly the type of people I would have tried to bring together. Anyways, I am really enjoying this series. It's moving slow, but that pace fits well for the main protagonists. Art, excellent. Very cute. Dialogue, very good, very real. Characters, believable, likeable, relatable.
The cute awkwardness between the two main characters is intense and sweet. I'm finding that I'm really rooting for them. But how much of a slow burn is this series going to be?
How is this a slow burn? The love interest is blushing from volume one, and they have a date by volume two, so how? He clearly likes her back IMMEDIATELY, there is no "will they, won't they" here. Everything unfolds in a predictable, underwhelming manner. And they are just made for each other, the love interest is perfect and does everything MC needs, in the precise time she needs it. There is nothing realistic about this, which is an aspect I hoped for with this story. Showing the date from both perspectives just slowed the pacing so much, if it's even possible at this point. No stakes, no conflict.
What a slog. I'm not wasting my time on this anymore. The art is not even that original or pretty.
I liked this one just as much as the first one. I might be starting to figure out Japanese names, possibly. Looking up the suffixes helped a little, but context helps too, so continuing to read should mean increased clarity. In any case, the slow burn relationship is still slowly burning…they actually made more forward progress than I was expecting for this installment. It’s very sweet to read and makes me feel a little wistful. I loved the chapters from Irie’s POV, especially when they were repeats of chapters from Tanaka’s POV.
The date was cute and it was fun to see it from both of their view points. It was also interesting to see it continue from the first book with neither of them being great with technology, Irie wrote everything down in a notebook instead of pulling the details up on his phone in this one and in the first both Irie and Nobuko were unsure when exchanging contact info with their co-worker Abe.
I've seen comments about the pacing being slow, but it doesn't feel that bad. It's a slice of life manga and there are only a few chapters in each book so it may seem slow but that's why you binge read!
This is just such a sweet love story.... I love how you see it her way then you see it his way. I like how they all went to aquarium then it went to a one on one date in a way between them. The movie was so sweet how they both had a hard time to concentrate on the movie. Then they went to the cafe to get a drink. He was so sweet to put band-aids on her feet. That was so heartfelt and I can't wait to see what happens to them in the next few books ...
Much more comfortable pace than the first volume!! Guess they just had to work those kinks out in the first few chapters. I love the back and forth perspective changes. The actual side characters are pretty well fleshed out for this early in the story too, and make it feel more like an ensemble than MCs/sides.
They are both blushing at each other now so there’s definitely some progress! I like their interactions in this volume and I’m looking forwards to coming across more of them hanging together.
This isn’t a fast pace manga so it’s somewhat of a slower progress in the romance, but it’s just right for this story!
This is a love story featuring college students on the autism spectrum (ASD). The author does a great job portraying autistic people moving out of their comfort zones and trying to connect. I’m ASD and I found this manga genuinely delightful.
The nice thing about this story is we get to read about it from the male's perspective but again this has a slow and take your time feels to it that some readers might find off-putting. So I would recommend to read this after you read a whirlwind romance fiasco 🤣 Really makes you appreciate this story more. Hahahahaha
I love the glimpse into Irie's mind and how he thinks, which it turns out, is not much different from Tanaka. It's a sweet story showing the start of a relationship between two very shy people who would probably not have gotten together if not for their friends.
