Natalie Patrick is tired of people knowing more about her life than she does. The fame that comes along with being a famous singer is not what she signed up for. As a matter of fact, that is precisely what tore her away from her career and the life that dream that she sacrificed everything to follow. Happiness is the new dream. For Natalie, that means finding a stable, pragmatic, easygoing, man to build a life with.
Blake is more than ready to join a team that he can soar with, not above. For the past eight years, he has been carrying the Chicago Stars, a professional hockey team, on his shoulders without a whole lot of help. Blake recognizes that his years in the NHL are limited so he has plans of joining the team that has been knocking him out of the playoffs for far too long. If you can’t beat them, join them.
Nothing but sparks fly when Natalie and Blake are together but it is hard to say if they are due to attraction or frustration. While Natalie is a free spirit who is looking to have fun before settling down, Blake is a relationship man. He doesn’t do nonsense and she is nothing but. The main thing that they have in common is that they both hate the spotlight. How will these two handle it when their secrets surface? Do they have what it takes to overcome the biggest obstacle of all or will Natalie end up with her math man after all?
My name is Kay Stewart and I have been telling tales for as long as I can remember but have only recently decided to put that talent to good use and write. I have traveled near and far but am now settled in a small town with my husband and two beautiful children. When I am not busy being a mom, I am writing and enjoying a cup of coffee. I love bringing a story together and watching as the characters develop over the span of a series. I am a lover of love, sports, books, food, travelling, and people. All of these things are obvious in my books. Sports romances with a hint of family drama thrown into the mix are my jam. Hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I have enjoyed writing them
Natalie and Blake story was a a great read, seeing characters from the first three books as the family intermixed. This one surprised me i have my fingers crossed that we see everyone still together.
What a wild ride! Natalie, a former pop star(?), is looking for some fun in Mexico with her best friend before settling down with a (yet to be identified) mathlete. Blake, a hockey player, is a serial dater who is trying to prove that he can do causal. The 2 enjoy a vacation fling before going back to the "real world." Of course they can not stay away and continue their casual dating in Chicago. The challenge is they still know nothing about one another (last names, careers, ect.) and as life keeps moving around them drama ensues.
Loved that they pulled in another team and we get some connection to Casey (Natalie's twin) who plays in Chicago. We also get more crazy Patrick family history. While we do have an HEA, its not so happy for everyone this time around.
