I began reading this series backwards because I figured I'd read about more obscure cases of "teen" murderers and more famous ones as I moved from Volume 4 to Volume 1. I found I wasn't wrong, but I was definitely angered by what I read.

Often times the chosen victims were so innocent, but because of a country's juvenile justice system these murderers (and rapists) barely paid for their crimes. Often these teen terrors were released on an unsuspecting public at 21 years of age or younger with a sealed juvenile record.

I'm all for second chances, but when a pattern of violence has been evident up until the lenient conviction for murder, my compassion lies with the victim(s) and his or her family.
