This was a sweet romance and I loved the opposites attract/enemies to lovers vibe it gave out. Daisy is a bit of a mess at times, but Lance is more meticulous. At first working together was taxing on them both, but with time they started to fall.

Free-spirited Daisy is channeling all her creative energy into restoring a neglected house into ‘Bloom’s Farm Bed and Breakfast’ when she unknowingly bewitches her contractor’s son, Lance Matthews, into taking on his father’s commitments while Greg has knee surgery. The two are like oil and water and I loved reading about how they chipped back a little of themselves in order to co-exist. I giggled at the infamous Miss Bloom’s entrance as my Dad did the same thing with the house he built!
Although this is book two in the series, I didn’t feel that I missed out on too much. I will definitely go back and continue with this series featuring the Bloom family and the seven siblings. I love how the Bloom parents embraced their last name and gave each of their children a flower name. I can’t wait for you to read about Andi’s birth name!
I appreciated Tara Grace Ericson’s encouragement to take belief a step further and truly trust God with the details of our life, to learn to relinquish control, to reframe our attitude and to bloom where God has planted us. The author’s Old Testament references to God being a creator and restorer had me referencing my bible to see where it mentions making all things new and renovating hearts of stone.
Lance Matthews stole the show for me. He had me laughing at the nicknames he gave Daisy and he had me swooning at his thoughtfulness on the day Daisy needed most to be shown kindness. Ericson has a great balance of flirty banter and deep conversation.
I smiled at the reference to a book I’ve also read, ‘Who Moved My Cheese?’ and wrote out Daisy’s question at the top of today’s journal page ~ “Where is your vision?”

Oh man! I just loved this book. Can we get Hallmark Channel to make a this series into a movie series yet? I’m so ready. I love that the books cover the same time period of the other books. You get to experience the same events from different points of view. The story is life like and relatable. The only down side is the characters are supposed to be 30ish and to me they more realistically around 25. But that’s just my opinion. I do love this series and can’t wait to read Poppy’s Proposal!

Maybe this wasn’t such a great idea. They’d known each other for twenty minutes and he was already losing it.
Every time I read a Tara Grace Ericson book I fall more in love with the way she writes a story. Somewhere along the shuffle of being obsessed with the other Bloom Sisters books, I missed this one, and I'm so glad I went back and read it now. Daisy and Lance were such an adorable couple, and I loved seeing their relationship go from general dislike to begrudging friendship to something more. Plus, knowing what happens next made certain scenes of things going on in the background extra fun. I can't recommend these books enough for those looking for a quick and fun romantic read!

A Date for Daisy by Tara Ericson is such a cute story! I’m really enjoying this family and this series! I love Ms. Ericson’s writing style. I am always immediately drawn into her stories and her pacing is spot on.
Daisy and Lance were both great characters and I loved how their personality differences played off of each other. I also loved how they each grew and changed throughout their story. I love the Bloom family farm and how the siblings all work together to keep it going. This story has also really peaked my interest in Poppy’s story, which is next!
If you’re looking for a cute, romantic Hallmark type story, this is the story for you!

In this opposites attract romance, Daisy and her free spirit and Lance and his steadiness must find a way to work together and also combat the outside forces that are coming against the B&B before it ever has a chance to open.
I had two quibbles with this book. Lance is a little bit of a jerk. He realizes this to a degree along the way and attempts to mend his habits, but there were plenty of things he did to Daisy that were hurtful that he never apologized for. Additionally, the story threads regarding the online reviews and the inspector did not arise from either the characters or the plot, making them seem less than believable.
I really love the concept of the Bloom Sisters series, and I like this author a lot. Can't wait to dig into the next book soon!

Book 2 in the series did not disappoint! I had to start taking notes to keep track of all the Bloom siblings, I still don't have the birth order correct. Daisy is a woman of determination who gets it done.

The faith in this story was solid and woven through the storyline naturally and authentically. They discovered their failures and overcame them through Christ and I absolutely loved that!

What an enjoyable, lighthearted, sweet, suck-you-right-in kind of read!
The romance between Lance and Daisy was so sweet. I loved all the nicknames Lance gave Daisy. Some even made me laugh out loud. 😊 The first time the two characters meet is just priceless! 😆
I really enjoyed the whole renovation of the old house to a B&B! How fun would that be to do?! I totally related to Daisy and her haphazard way of approaching projects, not gonna lie. 😝 Messy Jessie...that’s me 😝
I love how the Bloom family continues to develop and you get sneak peeks into their lives the farther you get in the series! Their family dynamic is amazing and special. Always so supportive and loving no matter what.
All in all, I really enjoyed this book! It holds a special place in my heart and I can’t wait for the next one in the series! ❤️

I really enjoyed the opportunities attract trope you are in for a treat with the fireworks between Daisy and Lance. These two are complete polar opposite, yet I really enjoyed seeing their journey.
Their story is pretty cute!
Like straight out of a Hallmark movie.
I really enjoyed how each story is dovetailed into the each other starting with the novella Hoping for Hawthorne and we get a glimpse of what is to come in the next story.

This is Daisy's story, the twin sister of Dandelion. Lance and Daisy's story is enemies to lovers. Opposites do attract. Lance likes to keep things clean and in order but Daisy doesn't. She is a character and thus makes their story fun to read.
I love the Bloom family. They have different personalities but they are there for each other. If you love Christian contemporary romance, you'll love this series. 4 stars

Daisy and Lance are so different but wow the chemistry between them is ...... I really liked how both finally tried to see the other's perspective and how they dealt with it. The ending was really cute. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Oh, this was a fun one. Opening Ericson's books always feels like coming home and this was no different. With clashing personalities that aren't actually clashing, Daisy and Lance were a riot to read about. Oh boy, I really wanted to get on Daisy's case like Lance did sometimes. :) Thankfully she learned to clean up a bit.
Just one thing took awhile for me to wrap my mind around and that was that this book happens at the same time Hoping for Hawthorne does.
All that said, you'll find me eagerly awaiting the next book of the series, but until then, it's time to dive into Ericson's other novels.

I’m completely charmed by The Bloom Sisters series! A Date for Daisy was the perfect mix of light hearted romance and humor. Daisy and Lance are all friction and sparks! Their differing personalities provide multiple instances for disagreements, disasters, and an undeniable chemistry that even they can’t explain! While these characters are significantly different, I loved that as the story progressed they both had areas of growth which allowed them to understand and identify with each other. Ericson writes really genuine characters that are relatable and that’s one of the reasons I am really enjoying this series. The conclusion of this book is worth the wait! It’s simply adorable! I cannot wait for the next book in this series!

I am so in love with this series! Daisy and Lance have the perfect chemistry, but they both deny it. How could they be compatible when they’re opposites? I love their story and their growth, and I can’t wait for more in this series.

These first two books were my introduction to Tara's writing! What a couple of enjoyable stories. Here was another first for me, the prequel is in concurrence with book 1! I loved that and have never experienced that in a book before. There was actually some excitement knowing that I had an idea of how events would unfold as I read the story of Daisy and Lance. I dove into A Date For Daisy as soon as I finished Hoping for Hawthorne.
Having gotten to know Daisy in book 0, I was looking forward to getting to know why Lance got under her skin so much. I really liked Daisy because of her git 'er done attitude and well, I may have seen a bit of myself in her (aside from her Diet Dr. Pepper addiction). I appreciate the author showing Daisy's flaws so easily. This character seems like someone we all know in real life.
Then there's Lance. Sounds like he's easy on the eyes, really knows what he's doing as a contractor (thanks to good ol' dad), and the guy never has his ducks out order. Let's just stop here so I can say how bad I felt for Daisy. lol I guess the way I related to Lance is that I don't like when people use my tools and don't put them back! I wanted to whisper into the book and say, "I feel for ya buddy!"
I enjoyed the writing and there were a couple small mysteries going on in the background with her sister, Poppy, and the inspector who I wanted to knock upside his head! Let's just say I'm looking forward to Poppy's story next!
If you're looking for a story that incorporates some romance, a wonderful helping of faith, and a bouquet of sisters you want to know more, you're going to want to grab this story! Don't miss book 0 because it's such a great introduction to the series.

After finishing the first book in this series, I immediately started the second book. I have a feeling that I cannot get enough of the Bloom family. This is a wonderful sweet romance with a strong faith element.
What is interesting in this series is the author's approach. The books actually overlap. This means that some of the events repeat themselves. This allows the readers to see how the different scenarios impact each character in the family. In particular how they all respond differently to a traumatic family event.
This book is about opposites attract. Sometimes as a reader, I am not convinced that a couple would actually make it in real life with all that separates them. But this book acknowledges the obvious differences and talks about how both characters need to adjust. They both evaluated their idealized relationship and took a serious look on how they could be compatible.
There are many light-hearted moments in this book. And there is also a bit of a mystery as someone is trying to sabotage the bed and breakfast before it opens. I did love the remodel/construction part. The romance is sweet. I appreciate how they both prayed about their relationship. I will definitely continue reading this Bloom Sisters series.

June 8, 2020A Date for Daisy is the first full length novel in the Bloom Sisters series by Tara Grace Ericson. I have been looking forward to starting this series since reading the prequel novella, Hoping for Hawthorne.
I have to say I loved Daisy's story. I adore the Bloom farm and their sweet family, and I would love to tour the farm and attend their events. It's such a charming place!
Daisy is a mixture of airy light and firm independence. I loved how she was scatter brained (I can relate!) but also how she was determined to learn how to do all the work on her renovation project. I feel like we could be great friends!
Lance is a hunky contractor with a soft heart and a solid faith. His search for perfection and order can be a bit exhausting, but I loved the lessons he learned along the way.
I fell in love with this renovation story (I'm not just talking about the house). It was funny, inspiring, and full of sweet romance.
I'm looking forward to getting to know the Shaw family further in the next book, Poppy's Proposal. I can't wait!

I fell in love with this renovation story (I'm not just talking about the house). It was funny, inspiring, and full of sweet romance.
I'm looking forward to getting to know the Shaw family further in the next book, Poppy's Proposal. I can't wait!

Daisy Proves Herself
Because her family members are so successful, Daisy believes it's her turn to prove to her family that she can succeed. Actually Daisy doubts herself. But she has decided to open a B & B on the large Bloom property. But she wants to actually help restore the beautiful home herself with the help of a General Contractor. Most of them won't give her the chance to prove herself to them either. But she finds Greg, who is partially retired. They work well together until his knee gives out completely. But Greg talks to his son Lance about the project which needs to be completed. That's when the story heats up immensely. Both love the Lord and are attracted to one another, but oh, the problems they have. . . . You need to find out yourself.

I started reading this series with the last book and just had to go back to the beginning and read them all. Tara Grace Ericson really gets a person hooked early in the book. A fun, clean romance between two opposite personalities, with a fair sprinkling of faith in the mix and some seriousness to balance the fun. I really liked that the series is all written over the same time period, with each book giving the different siblings POV of the events, that is so fun. Looking forward to reading the next book in this series of siblings.

Great book!
I really enjoyed this clean Christian romance. A Date for Daisy by Tara Grace Ericsson was the first book I had ever read by this author. I read a lot of books and this book was a good one. Lance was the contractor on Daisy bed and breakfast after his father had to have surgery. Daisy was a fun loving messy creative type and Lance was a perfectionist. He had lists and wanted everything done a certain way she went from one project to the next never finishing anything. She had been a dancer and a broken leg ended her career. This is a very well written love story about not letting your differences get in the way of what could be your one true love.

Loved the Theme
I didn’t really like rereading parts of the story that had happened in the first book. It seems like the book series time line is going to be about the same time frame from different perspectives. However, I did like the story line. This book was helpful for me to analyze my relationship with my husband as I am much like Lance and my husband is like Daisy. I loved the idea of recognizing the need to change ourselves while still keeping the key parts. Also, loved the advice from the older couple about choosing to love and making the same choice everyday until there is no choice to make. I appreciate you writing Christian based books.

A Date for Daisy is the first full length novel in the Bloom family series. They are a big family living in a small town which adds a lot of charm to the story.
Daisy is renovating her house in order to turn it into a bed and breakfast. When her contractor needs surgery, he gets his handsome son, Lance, to finish the job in his place. In an adorable meet cute, Daisy has quite a unique introduction to Lance to say the least. This story is a fun, clean opposites attract romance. Lance and Daisy are so different. He is scheduled and organized and Daisy is anything but. There is a definite attraction there, but are there too many differences to make it work? You'll have to read to find out.
Between the banter, the nicknames Lance has for Daisy, and the home renovation mishaps, this book had me laughing out loud. There is also a bit of mystery because it becomes quite obvious that someone is sabotaging the opening of the bed and breakfast. Who could it be? Why are they so determined?

I liked this Tory. Daisy was always careless with things, no specific order to her things, and would finally find what she was looking for. Lance was a son to Greg, who’s helping Daisy restore the old farm house into a Bed and Breakfast. Greg was needing surgery to his knee and asked Lance to take over. Lance was very particular about where all tools and things were kept and in order. This made conflict for the two working together. Just sit back and enjoy their story.

After reading “A Date for Daisy”, I don’t know if I want to open my own construction business or bed and breakfast establishment more! 😉 This was absolutely precious!
I’ve been looking for a sweet romance with Christian inspiration similar to Becky Wade’s “Bradford Sisters” series for a while now. After dipping my toes into the series with the first novella, I’m glad I grabbed the second story in the series! I can already tell each book will be like a Hallmark movie mixed with characters that feel like family.

I love Tara's books, they're so...pleasant is the best word I have. Daisy is so quirky and relatable that I could literally picture myself and my husband in the place of Daisy and Lance. It was such a sweet and enjoyable adventure that had me rooting for every little journey along the way.
I can't wait to see how the rest of the Bloom sisters stories end up, and I know I'll be enjoying each one of them.

Sweet with warm fuzzy feelings but….
The continued typos of Dr Pepper continue, where was the editor? A reference to Mandys dad was actually her husband, not father and the almost complete retelling of book 1 come close to negating the warm fuzzies though.
I hope Poppy’s story in book 3 isn’t a rehash of Hawthorne and Daisies stories. I’m a huge fan of Tara’s writing, but this just isn’t up to the standard I’ve come to expect.

I enjoyed this book about two people who connect with each other although they are different in the way they go about doing things. As they work to restore an old home, Daisy and Lance learn to accept and appreciate each other's strengths; and they learn what is really important in achieving a happy life. I especially appreciated that this is a good, safe, clean read with a good Christian theme.

I really enjoyed learning a bit about the Bloom family. The characters are so down to earth and brimming with Christian values. Daisy had to return to her family home after an injury put an end to her dancing career. Lance was a local contractor trying to help her get a bed and breakfast remodeled and open for business. Daisy had a fanciful way of approaching her work while Lance was very structured. Will they be able to get everything finished?
