I wasn't sure I bought the heroine being brought into this case with her medical condition. Echoes of The Bourne Identity. Several twists in the story; I saw one coming. I didn't totally believe the later parts of the book. Seemed events moved too quickly, though the book is only a novella in size, speed is of the essence and it's a political thriller/suspense/action novel that's supposed to move fast. Her disclaimer is correct in that this is an R-rated read.
I can't lie. This book was rough to get through. I did get this one free on Amazon, and to me it felt like there was little to no editing. The story was good, it just wasn't well executed. I feel like a lot was lost in translation. It's like it wasn't fleshed out enough. I really struggled getting through this one. I wanted to love it because the synopsis was very interesting but I just couldn't. Maybe it was an off reading day but I just didn't enjoy this one like I would.
This is different than what I normally read but I know the author's other pen name and was intrigued in reading this one. I couldn't put this down. It's exciting and full of mystery and suspense and my adrenaline on high. At some points I thought I was watching a movie and my heart was racing.
I really thought this was going to be a great book but it was not believable, no mystery, no thriller and not suspenseful! I got from my nook as a boxed set of three, I kept thinking it would get better but each one got worse.😢
The concept of the book is workable, but the awkward sentence structure and grammar errors on every page made this almost unreadable. The only reason I finished this is because it was short. It’s pretty clear the author did not use a proofreader or editor, please do that for future works.
This is the first book in the Agent Red: Teegan Stone Series. This book is incredibly fast paced and easy to read. It was also filled with many twists and turns that kept me guessing iwth each page I turned. It ended too quickly for me, I found myself wanting more. I’m glad that this is in a series because I want to continue to learn about Teegan and her teammates. Teegan wakes up chained to a bed with no recollection of how she got there. She is concerned about her family and very confused. However, as those who abducted her soon reveal, her family is very safe. Rather, it is her they are after. Not in the typical way that a person who is generally abducted is after some one. Rather, they want to show her who she used to be. She used to be a member of an elite organization in the Navy who was in charge of protecting America. Teegan walked away from this life to devote herself to her family. She was tired of the danger, the death, the killing, the espionage. She is being asked to continue a mission that she has botched and this means awakening a piece of her that has been dormant for a long time. Throughout this book, we watch Teegan struggle with her desire to be a family mom, to reclaim her old life, and who to trust. I definitely recommend it!
This is the first book in the Teagan Stone series and I can't wait to read more. This book is full of so many twists and turns that at some parts its hard to keep up but it is well worth reading. This is definately a story that keeps the reader guessing and you won't see the end happening. For a short story it is full of action and danger but for me personally i felt the end was a bit rushed, but I am looking forward to seeing what happens next.
Teagan used to be part of a company called The Firm. Their job was to work undercover to stop people who are a threat to Amercian and its people. When Teagan decides to retire she thinks her days as an agent are over and she settles into life with her family. However that life is shattered when she is kidnapped by The Firm and because of her memory loss she can't remember ever being an agent.
But here she is and in order to protect and keep her family safe she needs to find out what happened to her team member Leah and take down a drug lord. But things aren't what they seem. The people you think you can trust you can't and when Teagan's families lives are still in danger she has to decide who to trust and what to do to make sure they are protected.
Who can she trust? What choices does she need to make to guarantee her families safety? Can she remember how to even be a great agent?
What a well-written, heart pumping, and an edge on your seat story, with complex characters, magnificent dialogue, and vivid settings. Protagonist Teagan Stone, a retired operative, is on a dangerous mission in Spain to find a missing agent and extract Diablo Garcia, a cold and calculating drug lord, but things are not what they appear to be since Stone has no memory of her past. The plot becomes even more absorbing when a monkey wrench materializes into the narrative, revealing flashbacks, secrets and lies, cover-ups, dirty politics, resentment, pretense, betrayal, and illegal activities, building up to an ending, which I never saw coming. I enjoyed Teagan Stone; she gives a completely new meaning to the “alpha woman,” intuitive, strong, self-assured, and smart. Moreover, Teagan’s face-off with Agent Broderick adds another dimension to the plot; is Broderick a traitor to The Firm, or are there more secrets and lies forthcoming? I cannot wait to see the next follow-up.
Knowing Fatal Memory was short going in, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Well it was intriguing, kept me interested, and left me wanting more. I loved it. I didn’t think there would be enough time to do all that in the original length, but the author pulled it off. Some aspects were a little rough, but it didn’t take away from the story or make me lose interest, I had a wonderful.r ctb lol start to a series, I’m ready for the next one. Agent Red suffered an injury and repressed her memories working for “The Firm.” Former Navy Seal Teagan is now a happily married stay-at-home mom. She doesn’t remember the life that kept her constantly on her toes and in danger. The Firm felt otherwise and brought her back in against her will. They needed her to get back one of their own, and get back involved with her last target. Apprehensive at first she ends up taking the lead against the will of Agent Broderick. Again the author leaves you wanting more. Not only do I want more going forward, but I want more of a backstory too. Bring on book two!
This book truly topped the WOW factor! I love a good action thriller, but this one really blew my expectations really! The book was a quick read, and not a dull moment in my reading! I was highly invested!
Tegan Stone was wonderful female lead characters. I admired her ability to be strong, touch, and intelligent as she was, She had that never give up attitude. I loved how she handled her mission, and what shocked me was leading to the end, where her mission led to questions that made it difficult to complete her mission for what it was. I loved the writing style of the author, how they created a quick fast read that was amazing from start to finish! I could not put this down to the end! The suspense was too much to stop! Loved it!
The book was amazing and pumped full of action and suspense that I did not hesitate to love! I cannot wait to read more by this author and partake in Tegan's adventures! Highly recommend this must read!!
If you are looking for a quick read that is fast paced and filled to the brim with action, look no further!
Teagan Stone is a mother of 3 and a doting wife to her husband. One day she is kidnapped by her old team from an elite force of spies. With her memory gone, she has no idea who these people are and why they would want anything to do with her. Turns out she was a badass agent who decided to give up the spy life to raise her children. Unfortunately a former team member has gone missing and the clues lead to the last case Teagan and her team last worked together.
They tell her one more case and she can go back to her family. She never wanted to be dragged back into the life but has no choice.
The author did a really good job of stuffing the book full of action with a splash of politics. Taking place in the present with flashbacks so you know what the previous case was. I also really enjoyed the way the author wrote Teagan. She’s sassy, strong, smart and stubborn.
Fatal Memory (Agent Red:Teagan Stone Series Book 1) by Ava S. King. I loved this book. Its a fast paced, action thriller. Its about Teagan Stone who is a retired operative on a mission to track down missing agent in Spain. Diablo Garcia is a very bad wanted drug Lord and Teagan doesn't know how in the world she is going to capture him because she has lost all of her memory. She's not excited about this mission but she knows she has to do it to save her Country. Being recruited by the Navy is a huge deal when she would really rather be at home with her husband and kids. She is having to rely on anything she can remember to save her self and get thru this mission. Teagan was such a fun, strong willed woman and I loved reading about her. This book will pull you in and you will be flipping pages way into the night. I can't wait to read the next one!
I thoroughly enjoyed this fairly short but action packed story, which had me hooked from page one. Teagan Stone was working in the Navy when she was recruited to work with an elite group, where she became a rather notorious spy. However, after many years service she takes retirement to enjoy time with her husband and three children. Until one day, she wakes up chained to a bed in a small cell, with no memory of where she is, how she got there or why. Teagan has to rely on her skills that she learnt when working as an undercover government operative, if she is to survive and save her country. For a short story this was a really fast paced, page turner full of action, drama, adventure, suspense, crime and mystery, which kept me gripped. Teagan is a great heroine of this story, and I look forward to following her adventures in this new series.
Teagan wakes up and finds herself chained to a bed. She's all confused and just wants to go home to her husband and kids. She has no memory of life before them but quickly starts to hear of her exploits as a spy for the Firm. She doesn't want that life but it seems like there may be no way out of it.
This book is a super fast read as it's only around 100 pages long. Due to the short length of the book, I felt that it was lacking development of the characters and the plot. There were parts of the story that didn't seem to flow. There was some action to it but not as much as I like to read about, but again, the story is pretty short and there is a lot packed into these short pages. I didn't like most of the people on Teagan's team because I'm pretty sure the majority of them are backstabbers. It goes to show you can never truly know who to trust!
Agent Red: Fatal Memory is the first book in the Teagan Stone series by Ava S. King. This is the first book that I have read by this author, but as I love a great spy thriller, I was curious to see what I would find between the covers. This proved to be an action-packed story with espionage, politics, agendas, drama, danger, mystery, suspense, deadly assassins, intrigue, secrets, lies, and more. I did enjoy the story and am interested to see where the series goes from here. Being the first book in the series, I felt that there were a few ‘teething issues’-but the character/s, premise, and developments have left me wanting to join in for the rest of the series as I am sure there is a lot more in store for super spy, Teagan Stone. Happy Reading!
This is a very fast-faced book that is nonstop action and full of mystery. It is the first in the Teagan Stone series and I can’t wait to see what other suspenseful situations the next book will get into.
Teagan wakes up in a cell with people that say they know her, but she has no recollection of them or her surroundings. Apparently, she is a spy and a darn good one at that. Teagan laughs at the thought of being some sort of secret agent since her life as a wife and mother are quite dull. Will things come into focus or is this a case of mistaken identity?
Even though this was a super quick read, I am looking forward to getting the next book in the series. The author accomplished so much in such a short span and I want to continue following Teagan’s story!
Fatal Memory: Gripping Mystery, Suspense and Crime Thriller: Teagan Stone (Agent Red:Teagan Stone Series #1) by Ava S. King
This is the first book I've read by the author. Fatal Memory is the first book in the Agent Red Reagan Stone Series. This book had me hooked from the beginning and it was fantastic. I didn't want it to end and I'll be looking forward to the other books in the series.
Teagan has no memories of being on a task Force. She doesn't remember her teammates. All she knows is she's brought some place she doesn't remember. Now she needs to help an old friend out of a horrible situation. The quote I chose for Teagan is: “Can I call my family, Agent Clinton?”
Fatal Memory is the first book in the Teagan Stone series. It is a political spy thriller that is full of danger and mystery, suspense and intrigue, secrets and lies. Fatal Memory is a fast-paced short read.
Teagan was a notorious spy in a world of espionage and deadly assassins. She has had enough of this world and is now focusing on her family but all that changes as her past comes knocking on her door.
The premise of the story is good but it just didn’t have the impact and structure I would have liked to have seen. I wanted more.
However, this is only the first book and I look forward to seeing the story and characters grow.
Agent Red is one of the most powerful suspense books I've read this year. Teagan is just trying to live her life and all of a sudden she is sucked back into her prior life as a spy. I found the story to contain lots of drama, adventure, suspense and mystery. It had everything I like to find in a book to keep me intrigued, and I was from the beginning. I found the characters well-written. I felt like I was reading about real people. They were very relatable. This was a fantastic book that I believe will enjoyed by others. I highly recommend it.

Fatal Memory, Agent Red:Teagan Stone Series, Ava S. King, Review, Itsy Bitsy Book Bits, Thriller, Action
I think this is a good start to a new series. It definitely felt like it was setting the scene for the other books to come but it was a great way to be introduced to the characters and the overall story. I enjoyed reading about the main character. She is strong and interesting to read about and, for me, carried the story. The book was quite a short read, fast paced and fully of action. I think the author had a bit of scope to go into more detail and draw it out a bit longer but I enjoyed what had been written. This book has done its job and got me interested enough to read what comes next.
A very short book. I didn't know anything about it before I began reading, and after reading the Preface, I almost set it aside, not thinking I would be interested. But I thought I should at least read the first chapter. Then I was hooked.
Much of the story was disturbing. Underhanded dealing by a government agency. Lying and violence. People not turning out to be who they pretended to be. It was a bit confusing and aggravating. However, the story moved along quickly and I stuck with it. A pretty good tale.
I thought the book was well written. I didn’t realize how many books would be in this series. It was a quick read and I thought it was pretty good But not sure I’d be able to read 5 more installments of this. It was very fast paced. The main character is one tough cookie and is not to be messed with. The book confused me a bit and I just really wasn’t into it but that’s my fault. The author did a great job.
If you need a fast read thriller, then this is your book. There was so much packed in this short story. I'm really surprised there's more books but also happy to learn more. Teagan woke up in a room with no idea why? When she learns she was once a spy, and had to return forcefully to save a comrade, she had no choice. During the book, memories come back. Are they for good or bad? Read to find out!!
This is the first book in the Teagan Stone series. She wakes up, locked in a room, with no recollection of how she got there. She is then told she was an undercover agent and they need her back for another mission. All she remembers is being a wife and mother. She is whisked away to another country without talking to her family. I really enjoyed her strong female character and was on the edge of my seat a few times. Very quick read, but a good one. Really looking forward to the next one.
I thought this book about Teagon was outstanding and her reactions to being pulled back in from her retirement and away from her family is what every woman feels so much stronger than I think a man does. I felt the same way while on active duty and many times had to put work before family.
Predictable, yet Agent Red is an exciting read because the action unfolds with each paragraph. There is no lull to this story, it's adventurous without being over-the-top, it's quirky without being idiotic nor over dramatic. It leaves you with a "good taste" in your mind that keeps you anticipating more from Agent Red.
Secret agent spy thriller The first book in the Agent Red: Teagan Stone Series was a fast-paced adventure. This book has set the stage for what looks to be an action-packed series. There’s suspense, drama, political agendas and secrets agent operations all interwoven within the pages. Even with so much going on the storyline was easy to follow. I’m interested in seeing where this series goes.
Agent Red was a very fast read. Jumping right into Teagan’s “kidnapping” and reintroduction to The Firm to save an old team mate who had gone missing. One catch, Teagan doesn't remember her previous life as Agent Red. I do wish the author would have went further into the background of Teagan and her team, but maybe that will be coming in Book 2. Page turning action from beginning to end.
