Mí humilde opinión:

Soy policía, así que cuando veo a una damisela en apuros, entro en acción.

Pero el ladrón no es a quien quiero esposar... es Valerie, el encanto que acabo de salvar.

Estoy listo para atarla y hacerla mía.

El problema es que ella es la mejor amiga de mi hermana pequeña... y cree que soy un buen chico. Pero quiero ser su chico. Ahora y siempre.

Cuando la llevo al restaurante local para convencerla de que tiene sentido común, pido huevos y croquetas de patata, rezando por no conseguir un lado de su tocino en mi corazón.





Don't bacon my Heart es el librito 4 de la serie The way to a men's Heart y si bien no quiero 'bacon' su corazón, no fue mí favorito.

De todas formas, no deja de ser una lectura rápida, simple y agradable.

Me hubiera gustado algo más... este romance va directamente al grano como en los otros de la serie pero muy golpe y no alcancé del todo a ver la conexión entre Valerie y Vance.

Comenzó muy bien. Me encantó cuando la salva de un asaltante pero al minuto siguiente le profesa su amor y todo va de 0 a 60, lo que no me importa en este tipo de libritos pero lo encontré muy apurado.

Además, Vance y Valerie ya se conocían por lo que sentí que había historia entre ellos que me perdí. No se conocen en el diner entonces sentí que me perdí ese primer encuentro.

Lo que estuvo muy bien fue que la mejor amiga de Valerie no puso objeciones de que saliera con el hermano. Quería la felicidad para ellos por lo que no se oponía a que estuvieran juntos.

Pensamiento aparte...

Estoy viendo un patrón aquí sobre los nombres de los protagonistas. Comparten la misma inicial. Ja, no me había dado cuenta hasta ahora.

Esta entrega no estuvo mal, era una linda historia pero me dejó la sensación de que me perdí cuando se enamoraron.

El HEA estuvo dulce y los epílogos intrigantes ya que mencionan a otro amigos enamorándose, la amiga de Valerie es una, y me dejó curiosidad de quienes serían.

Seguiré con el siguiente porque para mí son adictivos!

Good

This was a super sweet read that moved extremely fast. Vance has been in love with his sisters BFF for years and he is ready to make her his. Valerie grew up in foster care and group homes. She has always been on her own and is a little afraid to let people in. She has loved Vance for years but doesn’t think she is good enough for him. He is willing to go big to prove she is all he wants.

Safety and Spoilers
Completely safe. No ow drama, h is attacked by a mugger and H stops it. H’s past isn’t mentioned and h is a virgin. I wish it was said if he had been with anyone since meeting h. No abuse.

Got this as a ARC. And I'll be honest since I read the title I've been singing BsB dont go breaking my heart. 🤣🤣🤣 now I hope its stuck in your head like mine.

Vance is our next guy and he has been head over heels in love with Valerie his younger sister Georgie (hasnt had her story yet) best friend so shes off limits for now. He just had to tell her his feelings. He has a plan but it gets pushed up faster when a guy tries to rob his girl. Valerie is alittle on edge that she almost got robbed but she loves being in the arms of Vance her a cop and a man she always wanted to. But stayed away because she grew up on foster care and knows no man wants a mess of a woman like her.

These couples lol Vance finally ask her out, but Valerie does push away for 2.5 seconds because Vance is not letting her fear get the best or her. ;) now they need to have fun, tell Georgie who's always disappearing.

No ow/om drama, no cheating, Tiny drama, secondary charas, sexy time, virgin gal and no manwhore (didnt speak of his past)

Book 4 in the Way to a Man’s Heart series and I loved it. I am loving the titles for this series and this one was my favorite because I love bacon, lol. Vance and Valerie were so good together. They had great chemistry and the attraction between them was so good. I can’t wait to read more of this series.

Not so good

Okay so I know that these books are really cheesy but this was one that I just didn’t enjoy. I was hoping for some cute moments like the other books but this one was just weird. The couple already knew each other so I felt like we were jumping into the middle of a book. They had absolutely no chemistry. And I feel like Vance wanted to make her super dependent on him. The sex scene was weird when he called her breasts globes. lol no really that’s what he called them and then there was a scene at the end that just wasn’t realistic. You have 3 kids. There is no way you can come home and instantly drop everything and have sex with your husband in the kitchen especially when in the prior scene your 7 month old was at breakfast with you! Smh. It just wasn’t the best one but I am looking forward to the next ones.

DON'T GO BACON MY HEART is the fourth book in The Way To A Man's Heart series and is the story of Valerie and Vance. Vance is one of the guys who works out at the cross-fit with the rest of the group. Vance has watched as the guys have fallen for their women wondering when he can get his girl also. The problem is that Vance has already fallen for "the one" but she, Valerie, is the best friend of his younger sister. So a bit of a no go zone plus he does not think she likes him romantically. One morning after their workout Vance is walking to get breakfast at the local diner where Valerie is a waitress. Val is also walking to work and not paying attention as her mind is on her major financial problems when a robber assaults her in the alley with a gun. But just as he is getting her wallet, which has little money in it, Vance sees what is happening and takes him down. After the robber is taken away and initial statements taken Vance walks Valerie to work, as she cannot take a day off because she needs the money. Valerie decides to buy Vance breakfast as a Thank You but when she goes to sit and eat with him Vance has a whole other idea. A few months ago Vance was shot and Valerie helped look after him by bringing him soup every day, but never staying to visit. Seeing what just happened Vance decides as he is waiting for Valerie to sit with him that he is going to declare his feelings..........time is short and he just wants to get on with things. Let's just say that it sort of freaks Valerie out which makes Vance embarrassed and he leaves. Walking down the block though he remembers his sister telling him once that Valerie pushes people away when they try to get close to her as a way to protect herself from being hurt. Vance knows that he wants her and he is not going to walk away from the girl of his dreams. He will have to make her believe that he is in it forever and he is not letting her go without a fight.

This is another well written, sweet, crispy, fun, romantic and sizzling crispy but not burned story. The characters are wonderful and the emotions are real. If only everything in life would be handled with a bit of crispy bacon.........

I love Frankie Love and her The Way to a Man's Heart series. In Don't Go Bacon My Heart, Vance is a cop who has watched his friends find their "one" and fall in love. Vance knows he has already found his one, Valerie. Valerie is Vance's younger sister's best friend. Valerie works at a local diner she would love to buy from the owner but doesn't have the funds to buy it. One morning after his workout, Vance is on his way to the diner when he comes across Valerie being robbed in the alley behind the diner. Vance subdues the robber. After statements are taken, Valerie insists on working her shift and offers to get breakfast for Vance as a thank you. Knowing things can happen at any moment, Vance decides to tell Valerie how he feels about her. Valerie doesn't react how he expects, so Vance leaves. As Vance is walking down the street, he remembers his sister telling him that Valerie pushes people away when they try to get closer to her as a way to protect herself. Vance stops and buys flowers for Valerie and heads back to the diner with the intention of getting the girl of his dreams. Will Valerie agree to go out on a date with Vance? How will Vance's sister react to Vance and Valerie's date? Will Vance's big gesture convince Valerie that her future is with Vance? Don't Go Bacon My Heart by Frankie Love is a fantastic book with great characters. The chemistry between Vance and Valerie is scorching hot. I would highly recommend getting Don't Go Bacon My Heart or any of the other books in The Way to a Man's Heart series by Frankie Love. I also purchased the book after receiving a free copy of the book.

Maybe I just wasn't in the right mindset going into this story, but this one was over-the-top in the worst of ways. I mean, Vance rescues Valerie from a mugger, buys her a diner (yes, you read that right, an entire diner), and then proceeds to pop the question, all in one day. Even then, the mugging is hardly brought up again, nor does Valerie seem to suffer any lingering effects from it, even in the short term. And the over-the-top badness of it all isn't limited to the story. The main couple are supposed to have been secretly in love with each other for ages, but their chemistry is more in line with two characters who had just met and fallen in insta-love with each other. And not in a way that's sweet and adorkable.

Oh, and speaking of adorkable: the title phrase is brought up as a way for Vance to be cute with Valerie while confessing his feelings, and while it was legitimately cute the first couple of times it cropped up, it got old real quick.

Though, if I can give Frankie Love anything, the love scenes were just this side of steamy. Well, I mean, except for her use of the word 'titties,' especially when a more flowery word like 'globes' is inserted in the very next paragraph. Also, there were a couple of misspelled words here and there and some missing punctuation, but nothing too distracting.

Overall Verdict: 3 strips of bacon out of 10

Valerie & Vance
Vance has been in love with Valerie for what feels like forever. She is his little sisters best friend. Vance is a cop and after he nearly died Valerie would bring him food every day so he didnt have to worry about it. And he loved that she wanted to look after him but that was the type of woman Valerie is. Vance just needs to man up and tell her. After a good gym session with the lad he knows he needs to see her so he head to the diner.
Valerie is heading for the diner when a man grabs her and demands her purse. Valerie knows she doesn't have any money, just today her phone got disconnected due to unpaid bills. But thankfully Vance is there to arrest him but it has clearly shocked Val. She has loved Vance for so long maybe now she should say something but she has so much self doubt. She didnt have the best start in life but she was going to work so hard to make something of herself.
Seeing Val attacked was enough of a shock to get him to let her know how he feels.
This is such a cute story, it makes your heart sing. These two are super made for each other and they can make each others dreams come true. The way they connect is like they are the perfect match. I am loving this series and im so glad there are more books in this series to come. So addicted. And super excited

Loved it

Valerie is a struggling waitress and has the world on her shoulders but as she walks to work she gets mugged but luckily Vance was there to save her the man she has been in love with for years. Vance walks Valerie to the diner after her ordeal as they sit and have breakfast a Vance lays his heart in the table telling
Valerie he loves her. Valerie doesn’t know what to say and immediately puts walls up and Vance walks out. Vance walks out of the diner then decides he isn’t going to give up and goes back and gets a date with her. Vance puts wheels in motion ready for his date with Valerie the time arrives he goes to pick her up they walk down the high street and gives Valerie a key when they get to the diner. To show his love and devotion he has bought Valerie the diner and he takes her back to his home but it is now hers as well. Valerie is stunned that Vance has bought the diner for her also helping her with her finances taking the weight of her shoulders showing her how much he loves her and it’s forever good job Valerie loves him back forever.

LOVE the title as no one is Bacon anyone’s heart! Although these stories are all short and sweet, this one was more direct to the point. This is about Valerie and Vance. Valerie and Georgie are BFF’s and Georgie is Vance’s brother. Vance is a police office but has always been in love with Valerie, but never had the guts to tell her or ask her out. Valerie has always had feeling for Vance, but he was Georgie’s brother and how could he love her as curvy as she is. As I mentioned the story is straight to the point so after he saves her from a mugger, he professes his love for her, and the story takes off from there. This is a short read but a wonderful one, I just hope there would have been a little more drama.

This is a story about loving someone from the first time you see them. Vance has loved Valerie from the first day he saw her. Valerie has loved Vance from the first time she saw him. This love is known only in each other’s heart, never spoken. Vance is a police officer who arrests a man who is robbing Valerie. Valerie is a waitress at a little diner that one day she would like to own. She is alone and scared and panicked by the robbery. Once it is over Vance decides to make his move and ask her out on a date. Will they be able to express how they feel? Can they be more than friends? Can they not “bacon” each other’s heart? It is funny, entertaining, fairytale like story with romance. How can you not enjoy it!

First things first; I love the cover of this book!
Don’t go bacon my heart is book four in the ‘’the way to a man’s heart’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable.
Vance has been in love with his little sister’s best friend for years. Unbeknownst to him, Valarie feels the same. When he finally makes his feelings known, will Valarie give love a chance?
The chemistry between Valarie and Vance is clear to see and I loved them as a couple.
I really liked what Vance did for Valarie when it came to the diner.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

I loved Valerie’s and Vance’s story, Valerie is down on her luck her rent is due and her phone has been cut off she’s a waitress at Hot Spot she’s also been in love with Vance for a long time she would do anything to help him even took him food over when he was stuck in bed but she knows that there’s no way that Vance would feel the same about her. Vance is a cop he has been in love with Valerie since they first met so he is going to the diner to see her and maybe tell her how he feels and when he does Valerie says I can’t then Vance leaves but he is not going to give up because Valerie is his one. I loved this story it’s a fantastic read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the fourth book in The Way To A Man's Heart series. In this book, Vance has been in love with his sister's best friend Valerie for years. When Vance was hurt, Valerie would stop by and care for him. Now Vance wants to tell her how he feels and he hopes she feels the same. Valerie was in love with Vance for years, but she grew up in foster care and is scared to get too close to anyone. Vance has to prove to Valerie he is going to be there for her and he isn't going anywhere. I love this series. This is another sweet one. I love how Vance and Valerie both were in love with each other. I think Vance was determined to prove himself to Valerie. I thought they were great together. Another great one.

I wasn't sure what I signed up for when I saw the front cover, but I am thankful I gave the book a shot. This is not the first Frankie Love book I have read, so I did know that I would be in for a filthy, yet sweet story. In what is the fourth installment of the The Way To A Man's Heart series, the reader is introduced to Vance and Valerie. Vance is a smoking hot cop and Valerie just so happens to be his little sister's best friend. The story line was well thought out and the chemistry was well written. I look forward to going back and reading the first three books in this series.

I really adored Vance and Val. They have known each other for a while. She is his little sisters best friend and has never given him any sign that she is interested. Vance has known since he first met Val that she would be his. When a situation arises, it causes Vance to decide to lay his cards out on the table. And boy when he does it goes from 0 to freaking scorching real quick. They are adorably sweet together and seriously makes me want bacon.

Fun and super short. Okay read for when your short on time.
So far this one has been my least favorite out of this series. It was lacking the spice. The characters were okay just couldn't connect with them.

The overall series is seriously making me smile with the cheesy lines and puns.

This author really needs an editor. She’s got to have a friend who can check these for errors. If something like punctuation is wrong, I can totally look past that. But wrong or missing words are really distracting. Anyway, the story was cute but not as good as some of the previous ones. And she went a little too far with the bacon pun. The first time, maybe up to the third time, I was okay with it. After that it just became groan worthy. I’ll still totally read the next one when it comes out.

Vance finally gets up the nerve to tell Valerie how he feels and I felt bad for him when he first confesses but I am glad he doesn't give up. This moves fast but knowing their history and why they didn't do it sooner, makes sense. It's sexy, short, and sweet. It also leaves you wondering about the other characters and what they're up to.

This is really a wonderful addition to The Way To A Man's Heart series, it's the 4th book and is a standalone story. The storyline is cute, fast and fun to read. Both Vance and Valerie are incredibly likable characters, their romance is years in the making when they have both loved each other but never said anything. Now, there are no limits and all bets are off, their instalove is sweet and emotional. Loved it.

This is a quick read and straight to the point as Vance and Valerie have a history. Vance has experienced something which has made him want to go for what he has always wanted, and boy when he decides to go for something he really goes for it! Bacon the key to every man’s heart, this was such a cute whirlwind romance story. I liked how it all falls into place so effortlessly, these are the type of storylines, that are just OTT romantic but simple feel good reads. Fun extended epilogues that bring this series some interesting new characters with possibly new novellas.

am so completely smitten with these short romance reads. This is only my second in the series and each can be read as a stand alone but I like that I had read the previous book. I love the food puns through out this read and series. This was very fast paced and I liked how Vance and Valerie already have a history which completely works with the fast pace of this read. I can't wait to see what's next!
