Heart's Desire
While I enjoyed this book, I was expecting a bit more from it. The writing didn't seem as developed as the other 2 stories in this series, which was a bit disappointing. The ending fell flat for me.
Janice and Nathan's overall attraction was a bit all over, from them being cordial one moment, to them arguing or having a disagreement the next moment.
The fact that Nathan's ex Sherilyn, whom he was willing to marry just to try to get over his strong feelings for Janice, denied his proposal because she thought he still loved a "co-worker", then was so pissed that she tried to kill Janice, was a bit thrown in; a bit more backstory would've been nice to see what Nathan said to make her feel that way or for being as angry, as she put it, for him lying to her. The story seemed like she was cheating or having another relationship or not as into the relationship the way her character build up was put; like she really wasn't into Nathan possibly, so for her to be so angry to want to kill was very shocking.
Nonetheless, it was nice to get different scenes from the time this story was taking place, given that the other 2 stories did the same, so you could get a better picture of where Jada and Soul were in their careers and relationships.
I loved that Janice road motorcycles and was hoping to get more of her doing that in this book🤷🏾♀️.
Recommend if you want to wrap up the series. Highly suggest reading the other 2 books first.
