Nathan has not forgiven Janice for walking away years ago, and not giving their relationship a fighting chance. Now he has moved on and is about to get engaged to someone else. Heartbroken Janice now realizes she has made a huge mistake and there's no hope of a second chance with Nathan. But sometimes fate has a shocking way of turning things around!
While I enjoyed this book, I was expecting a bit more from it. The writing didn't seem as developed as the other 2 stories in this series, which was a bit disappointing. The ending fell flat for me.
Janice and Nathan's overall attraction was a bit all over, from them being cordial one moment, to them arguing or having a disagreement the next moment.
The fact that Nathan's ex Sherilyn, whom he was willing to marry just to try to get over his strong feelings for Janice, denied his proposal because she thought he still loved a "co-worker", then was so pissed that she tried to kill Janice, was a bit thrown in; a bit more backstory would've been nice to see what Nathan said to make her feel that way or for being as angry, as she put it, for him lying to her. The story seemed like she was cheating or having another relationship or not as into the relationship the way her character build up was put; like she really wasn't into Nathan possibly, so for her to be so angry to want to kill was very shocking.
Nonetheless, it was nice to get different scenes from the time this story was taking place, given that the other 2 stories did the same, so you could get a better picture of where Jada and Soul were in their careers and relationships.
I loved that Janice road motorcycles and was hoping to get more of her doing that in this book🤷🏾♀️.
Recommend if you want to wrap up the series. Highly suggest reading the other 2 books first.
Title: Heart's Desire Author: Delaney Diamond Publisher: Garden Avenue Press Series: Unparalleled Love Reviewed By: Arlena Dean Rating: Five Review:
"Heart's Desire" by Delaney Diamond
My Rationalization:
It was a good read seeing how this second chance romance would come out this time between Nathan Crenshaw and Janice Livingston. They had once been in love but as life will have it things changed for them after Janice made a move with her job that was out of town. Now that Janice was back and Nathan was her boss will they pick up the love and passion that was once with them? Well as fate will have it Nathan will try to move on but that wasn't to be which turned out quite well in that what happened with that situation. Now to finding out if Nathan and Janice will be given another chance at love you will just have to pick up "Heart's Desire" and see for yourself how this story will all play out. It was quite a read that lets one know that second chances can happen for those who are in love and having each others 'Heart's Desire.'
Loved this second chance at love story. Nathan and Janice had a special love that survived over the years. Amidst a would be tragedy, they survived. Great job Delaney.
I enjoy this author's writing and the romantic happily ever after. This story about second chances was special. Accepting a person with differences is priceless. I am going to read the two other books in this series. I liked the added bonus of Nathan becoming his brother's champion after Abram's parents death.
Hmm from your normal Romance novel of boy meets girl...but from a perspective of past love and the one that almost got away...definite second chance at love from a mature way of thinking a great read I felt like this could really happen in real life👏👍😘😍😆😃😁😄😅😂😉😏😊😎🙋💓💗💞💘😈
Non stop from beginning to end! I loved this story of Nathan and Janice! It was rocky but clearly these two were meant to be together. The love scene in Nathan office was HOT!!! OMG!
I really loved this book, the love between Janice and Nathan was a true love and true love will last forever. So if want to read a good love story read Heart Desire.
Great story. Loved the chemistry between the H/h. But the book was too short for my liking making the ending very rushed. Wanted a slower build up to the final climatic scene. Ah well!
Heart’s Desire of the Unparalleled Love Series by Delaney Diamond was disappointing! More so, the narration by Brenda Makani Keau in the Scribd reading app was absolutely awful! …there was no imagination, character nor plot development. Which is bizarre because Janice Livingston is so vibrant.
This is a second chance romance. I started with the audio book. The accents weren't consistent, and the reading was just off. So I switched to the book and it wasn't much better. The escalation of events the latter half of the book seemed haste.
Nice second chance romance. I liked that the characters had some growth and gained understanding about their past relationship and current feelings. Add in a little bit of drama and this was a great afternoon read.
I love stories that give second chances. I love when the second romp in the sack turns out to be the charm instead of the third. The heart knows what the heart wants and Janice wanted Nathan and vise versa. Enough said, but before I finish a great story that flowed effortlessly from beginning end with a little drama and action. Great Read! ReneeG 👍
I just knew that this book would put the cream on the top of a three-fold "Unparalleled Love Series" and I was definitely correct. Nathan and Janice were the last of the three former Spellman roommates to find the love they had for the men in their lives from the beginning. To be sure just like the love connections of her roommates and best friends, Nathan and Janice had their own set of issues to overcome . First their relationship fizzled four years earlier because Janice was scared having gone through her own failed relationship before plus the issues with her parents who took every opportunity to see who could cheat the worse. Nathan for his part tried to move on and at first I believed it was noble of his current girlfriend to turn down his proposal until her unstable nature took center stage when she tried to kill Janice but injured Nathan instead when he jumped in front of Janice to protect her. Some women simply do not know how to let go gracefully as was the case with Sherrilyn Nathan's ex. In the end it all ended well with Sherrilyn behind bars (I hope she gets therapy to deal with her issues while locked up) and Nathan and Janice joining Jada and Solomon and Soul and Micah as engaged couples! Ladies each of these books are destined to be individual Best Sellers and so is the Series as a collective. Excellent job Ms. Diamond quite an excellent job indeed!!!!! You ladies must do another series, P L E A S E!!!!!!!! Looking forward to more.
Delaney does it again, Janice and Adam's reconnection
I prolonged as long as I could in reAding the end of Janice and Nathan's story and I am so glad I did. I know they recommended not to read the Unparalleled Love Series in no particular order, but I say save this one for last. I was knew to author Stephanie Nicole Norris (Everlasting Desire) so I didn't know what to expect from her, and I think her story is a good beginner as you're being introduced to Jada, Soul (Sharon C. Cooper's Souls Desire) and Janice, each have a interesting story yet the story of Janice and Nathan hit different.
I was struggling on whether to like Nathan or not. I think once you read especially after the accident you'll understand why. But then I think of redemption and what joy and happiness is supposed to encompass. Then I appreciate the imperfect beauty which makes him a perfect hero.
Janice I could feel her energy. The colorful description of her let you know that once she let go of her internal struggles things would be perfect.
I also like how Patrice interacted with Janice in this story, as well as Abram , Soul and Jada. I think it provided a more well rounded perspective of Janice and had you rooting for her happiness even more.
What this story also has you thinking about is if you can be friends with your ex. What our the rules of engagement. Also what does it look like to stand up in the time of despair. The guardianship role Nathan played with Abram was endearing.
You'll become emotionally invested in this story and that's why I loved this story the most.
Janice Livingston and Nathan Crenshaw are co-workers who were previously in a relationship. They now work together again, and naturally interact like old friends… who still low key have feelings for each other.
Janice and Nathan have a strong connection and have a lot in common, including tattoos and their love of motorcycles. There are also a lot of good reasons not to explore a relationship again: They have unresolved issues and insecurities. Most importantly, the timing is bad because Nathan is not really mentally available. I questioned it, until their passion for each other plays out in real time. Ms. Diamond makes sure the reader understands Janice and Nathan should be together. There is some drama that threatens their HEA, but the reader is rooting for them through it all.
Janice has a strong friend group, Jada and Soul, who are also the Heroine’s in the other books of the Unparalleled Love series. Nathan also has a strong relationship with his younger brother, Abram, whom he is raising.
The title of Heart’s Desire is an appropriate title because Janice and Nathan have a strong desire for each other that hasn’t faded in the time they are apart. Second chance Love is the theme of the book and I highly recommend it.
I want to first say that I still and always will absolutely love me some Tomas Molina😍😍 and I love when you pull in past characters into new books. The chemistry between Nathan and Janice was off the charts and I'm glad that they reconnected their great love affair. It's crazy that Sherilyn turned down Nathan's proposal and then turned loco that he followed his heart like she suggested. I really thought that Precious was going to be a problem instead of Sherilyn. I'm glad that Janice dismissed Theodore Reynolds because he was just siphoning her out of unnecessary money. I can't wait to read Soul and Jada's books next nor Reese Brooks and Nina Winthrop.
Delaney Diamond never disappoints, which is why I saved her book for last. I knew Janice would be a bright, vibrant character and she really was. Nathan, with his steady, calm demeanor, was the perfect match for her. That first proposal that took place kinda threw me for a loop, but it lead to Janice and Nathan revealing their feelings for each other, so it was cool.
Loved Nathan and Abram’s relationship. Couldn’t stand Sherrilyn’s crazy, wannabe PI a**. Pleasantly surprised to see Tomas Molina! In fact, I’m off now to do a reread of his story.
I enjoyed this series and Jada, Soul and Janice’s sisterhood. Love that they’ve been friends since college and are so supportive of each other. Nicely done, ladies!
So, this was the third book I read from the Unparalleled Love Series. Three best friends from college who all found love, and you will enjoy each book. I will say that in Heart’s Desire Janice worked my nerve in the beginning. This second chance at love story is about Nathan & Janice, they are co-worker who had a previous relationship that did not end on good tern. Purchase the book to find out what happen and how they found their way back to each other.
Heart's Desire is one of three books in this collaboration of three dynamic authors.
The other books in the series! Soul's Desire by Sharon C. Cooper Everlasting Desire by Stephanie Nicole Norris
WOW I love all of her books and look forward to them. This book held my attention from beginning to end. Keep up the good work Delaney can't wait until the next one! I wait with baited breath to your next book when I see them I purchase them. As last thanks for the enthralling characters and the love they give eachother. I would recommend this to all of my friends. I pass all of your books to my daughter who also loved to read as much as I do.
I loved this book it kept me enthralled from beginning to end. My daughter kept after me to hurry. The relationship that your words burns are fantastic.
Second chance love stories are one of my favorite types of love stories. Nathan and Janice former lovers now co-workers have a chance at love again or they could have except he is dating someone else and she has a fear of commitment. After a refusal to a marriage proposal Nathan and Janice reconnect, but a resources does not want them to be happy. I really enjoyed their story. This is the second story in the Unparalleled Love Series, looking forward to the third and final book. 💥💥💥👌👌👍👍
Loved Janice and Nathan's journey to love again. She acted like she can do without a man when all she wanted was to get back the love she lost two years prior to her leaving for Cali. Nathan thought he wanted to move on with sherilyn but soon found out that was a mistake on his end. The love they both suffered for each other came back months ago but neither bothered to act on it. I'm glad things ended great for all of the friends in this series of unparalleled love great series to read.
I was too happy when this second chance romance was a first rate read. The collaboration between the stories was handled very well. In the story, Nathan Crenshaw and Janice Livingston once loved each other with great love and passion, until their differences pulled them apart. He tried to move on, but his heart's desires remained captive with Janice. You'll like their story too!
This book was short and sweet. It was amazing how Janice and Nathan both grew up with poor examples of love, but grew to love each other unconditionally. They were total opposites of each other, but complimented each other perfectly. Sherilyn was a complete psycho and Nathan really dodged a bullet when she turned down his marriage proposal. She turned him down but couldn’t handle losing him. SMH. Loved this book.
Nathan and Janice's journey to true love was impeded by childhood hurts (infidelity by their parents). What they fodnt want to be kept them from moving forward. Janice's fiance' leaving her prior to the wedding also left a hurt that kept her heart from letting Nathan in. However; when the heart desire a certain person it's hard to let go. Delaney Diamond has written another amazing story🤗🤗🤗.
Heart's Desire (Unparalleled Love Series is a very good and sensual second chance romance that earned a rating of five stars. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I found the the romance between Nathan and Janice exciting as they try to rekindle their love. I would recommend this book to everyone who enjoys reading very good romantic novels a thrill of suspense.
I foolishly wanted to complete all three books in the series before leaving any reviews. What can I say.... no disappointment to speak on. I will suggest that you ladies do this all over again!! So glad Janice & Nathan found their way back to each other. Just goes to show you...the heart takes no substitutions.
Loved the dynamics between the Hero and Heroine. The story had just enough drama to keep you going and the right amount situational scenes to keep your attention. Originally thinking the book was going to be too short for my expectations, but was very satisfied with length and outcome.
I picked this one up last night and couldn't put it down! Janice and Nathan's re-kindled romance has it going on. Their fiery chemistry is a real page-turner. As usual, this experienced author does not disappoint. If you're looking for a switched-on, sexy short read, diving deep on occasion? This one comes highly recommended. Loved it!
