Tracey Cringle hasn't got a clue

Rate this book
Tracey Cringle’s husband is dead. An inevitability, she feels, when he attempted to self-medicate a massive heart attack with antacids. With only three pounds and twenty-five pence in her bank account, she has to somehow find a way to feed two teenage daughters and one bad-tempered tabby cat.

But then her dead husband’s ghost appears to her suddenly and the answer to all her financial problems suddenly seems clear. Tracey Cringle is going to become a paranormal investigator, using her dead husband's spirit to connect with the other side. To her at least, this is the obvious solution, but then Tracey Cringle hasn’t got a clue.

When the sinister spirit of a young girl starts to terrorise Tracey and her family, she starts to realise she might be a little out of her depth. To make matters worse, Tracey has to find a way of keeping the secrets that she hid so well from her husband when he was alive. No mean feat now he's omnipotent and watching her every move from the other side.

I live with my partner in a wonky cottage overlooking an ancient graveyard in the heart of Alton, Hampshire (UK). At any given time, there can be up to four of the offspring we have produced between us squeezed into the cottage, plus a neurotic sheepdog and a psychotic, black cat (don't be fooled by the cute picture).

I have self-published two novels and am currently working on my third (Eve's Window) for NaNoWriMo2021.

Tracey Cringle....all I can say is wow! This reading took me some time but it was well worth it. A death happening in her life lead her to discover something she never had before. Having the ability to being a psychic. She did not realize she had this ability before! Like in the title she didn't have a clue! It had its moments that made me laugh. This story was different and very unique. I cannot wait to read more from this author! Well done.

Fantastic read!

I fancied something different, a light hearted, funny, easy to read book and BOY did this deliver in every area. The author has a fantastic sense of humour which enhances the book tremendously and it made me laugh out loud on several occasions. A great storyline, very discriptive and characters that are so likeable with traits that help build their roles., keeping the story on the highest of level. Brilliant!

What a delightful story!

After reading this book non-stop, I have to say: I loved it! The narrative is delicious, beautifully written. Tracey is a real, honest and very sarcastic main character who tells as it is. Her involvement with the supernatural is captivating. This is one of those stories you don't want to end. I'm sure there will be more adventures for her in the coming, and I can't wait to read them. Good job!
