Loved this and really appreciated the message! I think I found this book at the right time. Trying to focus on positivity so it was great to have some pointers. I will be practising what I learned and what more is there to say? A good book. A really good book.
The placebo effect is a real thing. If your mind believes you will get better, there is evidence that you actually do. Now this doesn't mean you can think that broken bone into healing tomorrow, however outcomes are improved by those with belief in their ability. It is also a pre-requisite to taking the actions necessary to get where you want to go. Regardless of capability, you have to believe that you can do it before you will actually do the work, so this needs to be part of your path.
This is a relatively short book full of examples, but it boils down to what I wrote above. I shouldn't really even write the review because it would allow you to just gloss over the book with an 'oh yeah, I got that.' At least I know myself and tendency for such behavior.
The main reason I read this was I heard it was the book that was a turning point for Tony Robbins to start his coaching business. I figured that was worth reading.
Bristol reveals a mirror technique within the pages of this gem...
Another fun fact: Philys Dillard...comedian, promoted this book extensively thru her life. She said it was a "must read" and made the most impact for her development.
If you believe, you can achieve type book, very similar to “The Secret” if you read that. If you follow Claude Bristol’s simple step-by-step principles plan to be amazed what it can do for your life. Quick and easy read, highly recommend reading and rereading this.
This is a book that keeps finding its way back into my life in peculiar and unexpected ways. First read it over 30 years ago. A classic in many ways, for many people.
I enjoyed reading this book. It has good techniques to help you achieve your goals in life, plus it enables you to think more positive with your subconscious mind. A book that you have to reread from time to time.
