I loved the recipes in this cookbook and I have ordered it so I can continue to cook from it. Some of these I can convert to the instant pot and will also be great additions for the spring/summer months.

Good stuff here. I picked out at least 15 healthy recipes I want to try. Not only are the recipes clean and healthy, but they're appropriate for all levels of home chefs.

I really enjoy learning about how our body works and reacts to different things. Learning about the different kinds of sugar and what effects it has on our bodies and digestion is super helpful. Looks like some great recipes in the book too!

Sugar is the enemy! Well, yes and no.

How can sugar be bad? It tastes good on everything and there are great songs with the word in it. I picked up this book only to see how you could eat without sugar. I usually don't fall for it, but everything on the cover looked delicious. Turns out, you really can't, and shouldn't want to since the problem is not sugar itself so much, it's the quantity we consume and the processed sugar in almost everything today.

So imagine my surprise when looking through the "Zero Sugar Cookbook" and seeing all these recipes...with sugar. David Zinczenko explains that if there's more fiber in a meal, it's like sugar doesn't stand a chance, so natural sugar found in everyday food should be fine in this combination.

Whew. It's exhausting. I need a donut. 🍩 I know keto enthusiasts might run from this book, but carbs and sugar are not the enemy really. So, for less sugar's sake, this is a good alternative to just cutting it all out together.

The only things I gleaned from this book were:
1) avoid added sugars. It aint easy, as manufactured foods almost always have added sugars, and there are about ten million different names for sugar.
2) If you do buy manufactured foods, make sure you choose foods with higher fiber content than added sugars.

Overall, though, this is a book full of the toxic diet culture that has ruined the lives of so many people through the years. My greatest concern (shocking) is not staying lean for life, or whatever other catch phrases this contains (way too many to bother mentioning) that are designed to make you hate your body as it is and to only be satisfied with a skinny body. 100% unhealthy bullshit, which makes it hard to appreciate any recipes that might be helpful.

Good starting place to understand the sugar issue on the body, and how to eat better to counter the sugar issues. I liked the studies that showed how fiber aids the body in healing, and the numerous recipes to try. The plan outlined in this book is simple. I intend to start it and will provide an update after I follow the 10-day intro to this lifestyle change. I wish there were more recipes included, but the other recipe books by the same author look like they would suffice for this lower sugar eating too.

Good approach to cutting sugar from your diet. Focus on added sugars and fiber. The recipes are clear and I have bookmarked a few to try. I appreciate the calories, fat and protein info that many recipe books fail to provide. And the recipes are not “Fat” heavy

Best approach to reduce sub that I have seen in a realistic diet

I wasn’t crazy about many of the recipes in here, but LOVED the first 40 pages that discussed the science behind sugar- how our body handles it, the impacts of added sugar, and the importance of pairing it with fiber. Interesting and informative!

This cookbook has very good recipes, with few ingredients that are easy to follow. There are also introductory chapters to get you started that explain the benefits of going sugar free and how to change your diet.

Great recipes that are simple and realistic for most people to achieve. Some good no sugar dupes for comfort food like fried chicken, pasta, and cookies. If you’re diving into a no sugar challenge, I highly recommend checking this out!
