Meet The Extrasensory Agents

Rate this book
Meet the Extrasensory Agents…a team of psychics who can solve the coldest of crimes!

Former Charleston cop Julia Harrington held the man she loved--her partner, her fiance--in her arms after he was shot down in the street. She has never gotten over the loss, and has dedicated her life to making sure other families don't go through such grief. Her new detective agency, Extrasensory Agents, specializes in solving the coldest of crimes--the long-unsolved murder, the forgotten missing child--and they're very good at what they do.

Very good.

Because the team of Extrasensory Agents has a lot of skills that make them exceptionally good at crime-solving. Skills like psychic connection, object memory, death sharing, crime visions, and the odd ghost to help along the way.

If you're not sure you're ready to explore the very dark but sexy world of the strong and determined agents in their books COLD SIGHT, COLD TOUCH, COLD MEMORY, and COLD IMAGE, this might be a good place for you to start. Here is a 20,000 word collection of five short stories, each focusing on how each agent began as a member of the team.

Note: Two of these stories, Aidan's and Olivia's, originally appeared as back-matter extras in COLD SIGHT and COLD TOUCH.
This edition includes three never-before-released stories about Julia Harrington, Derek Monahan, and Mick Tanner!

This is a short, but excellent book that introduces the readers to the people who make up the team of extrasensory agents. Their gifts are extraordinary, but each person has tried to keep his/her ability hidden and each views the ability as a burden rather than a gift. The head of the group, Julia Harrington, is a former police officer. She can see and talk to the ghost of her murdered partner and fiance, Morgan. She has no "ability" beyond that. Julia, with the support of her ghost fiance, has the idea that there may be people with special abilities who can will be called extrasensory agents who help solve crimes and cold cases; most of all, by putting these talented people together, they may be able to help Julia find her fiance's killer.

Through her impressive investigative skills, Julia finds the people who have the abilities that form the team, Derek, Olivia, Aiden and Mick. These individuals have various special and useful abilities. In locating and persuading those individuals she wants to join the group, these tormented people find that for the first time in their lives, they can envision a fulfilling purpose for using their abilities. I got the feeling that a great weight was lifted from their shoulders, and they no longer had to detest their abilities. Oh, but the good that they can do, persuaded them to join the team.

This book gives a fascinating, but brief glimpse into these people's abilities. It is meant to be an introduction to the full length books that follow. I am so anxious to read the newly edited and updated books one and two, respectively ( Cold Sight and Cold Touch , published under the pseudonym, Leslie Parrish).

Good characters

This is a collection of novellas introducing all the members of the Extrasensory Agents. I like all the characters and have already read all their individual stories. I wish all the novellas would have been wrapped up instead of leaving the reader hanging, even though I'm sure the cases were all solved. I'm looking forward to the last book in this series about the team leader, Julia.
