Level 1 magic. Max level problems.

Matt is introduced to the world of sorcery when he finds a mysterious idol. Its raw power makes him irresistible to women: a skill he is hot to test at the local bar.

That's the good news.

His shenanigans catch the eye of an eternal goddess named Trixie, who passes the eons luring unsuspecting men into competitions they have no hope of surviving. Matt, distracted by his new abilities controlling the fairer sex, is an easy mark. Trixie lets him keep the idol's power over women, and she promises many more ladies as spoils. All he has to do is defeat her hand-chosen champion in a four-stage competition, including a simple go-kart race.

Failure will wipe him from existence.

That's the bad news.

Of course, it could be worth the risks. The prize for victory is the most powerful spell in the universe: a wish.

However, the goddess knows a few things about deception. Her scheming with Matt has implications for the fate of the entire universe, and she pushes him on a path destined to end in her favor...

That could be the catastrophic news.

Note: Some harem elements are found in this series. Intimacy increases in later books as Matt spends more time with his ladies, as you would expect. 18 and older recommended.

Dragon Royale was previously published in 2018. Water Levels was previously published in 2018 as Dragon Royale 2. Both have been mildly re-written to match the story arc started in this new book 1. A new book 4, Icy Hot is being penned.

A interesting book.

Overall this book was good and it filled in a lot of backstory from the first 2 books that the author wrote. The characters are fun to read about and I enjoyed the growth of the characters as the story unfolds. I look forward to reading the reworked books to see what changes are made.
