beautiful poems. one of my favorite parts of reading this was the translators section at the beginning. kim, dong sung put so much love and thought handling kim so wol’s work. i particularly loved how dong sung views translating poetry as a relationship between translator and writer, making every different translation distinct.
of the poems i’ve kept coming back to wind and spring for the past few mornings, i adore it.

Poetry isn't usually my cup of tea but I decided to give this a go and I actually really enjoyed it. With that being said, I know that I lost a lot of the quality of the poems in translation, so I'd love to revisit this again in a few years after learning more Korean.
