Melonie is a 35 year old successful lawyer who finds herself at ropes end. With everything around her falling apart, including her marriage, she's rebuilding her life one piece at a time. Finding comfort in her best friend, Trina, she slowly makes her way out of the black hole she unexpectedly, fell in.
Jaceon is a certified street hitta but after the death of his dear mother, he realizes the streets aren't for him anymore. Living a fast life, he makes some pretty fast decisions, leaving him to deal with circumstances he's no where near prepared for, but as the saying goes, real niggas don't fold.
In this smoking STANDALONE NOVEL, you will read about two people from two different sides of the spectrum falling hard for one another. They say distance makes the heart grow fonder but what about difference in age? No one is exempt from wanting love, everyone craves to be desired right?
Well fasten you're seatbelts before opening this JUICY read, because these unique characters are about to take you on one hell of a ride. You'll see just how it feels to be, Sprung Off A Youngin’!
Drama filled story line. It kept my interest til the end. It was hard to read about the mother being jealous of her daughter and then start a fire with the intent to kill her own child. We eventually found out that the mother was actually battling mental illnesses, instead of baby mama drama crazy. Then also had a serial cheating husband that becomes drug addict and a murder. Meanwhile his soon to be ex-wife was trying to get her groove back with a youngin. Becoming a fan of this author. ☺☺
Where to start... the book has a decent story line, but there's definitely room for improvement. I felt the story had holes in it and left me with some unanswered questions. The writing style could have been better. Some parts felt rushed while other parts had details. I also felt there were too many moving parts to the book - Jaceon and Mel, Jaceon and Vita, Mel and Rico, Trina and Lori, Mel and Lori, Moma B and Trina, Moma B and Old Henry, Bev and Charles, Vita and Mia. I struggled to keep up with the characters at first, but as I became more invested in the story, I was able to keep up with them better. Not the worst read by any means, but I probably won't return to this author.
This was my first read by this author. It was an enjoyable read, but at times kinda slow. Full of drama and enjoyed the characters. Vita, was crazy with plenty issues. I like Mel and Jaceon together as well as Trina and Lori. So glad Trina found happiness within her self and in love. Rico, got exactly what he deserve, no good cheating behind. It had some grammar errors, and I didn't like the way it ended....seemed incomplete. Overall, an okay read.
Vita was definitely nuts and what she did to her baby was unforgivable to me. I do wish that Mel would've had a baby or gotten pregnant with in that year, all the mess she's been through she definitely deserves it. Love that mama B finally accepted her daughter and Lori being together.
This is my first read by this author but its a dang good one. Melonie desrved happiness cuz Rico was just a dirty dog. I loved her and Jaceon together cuz Vita just wasnt right at all.. im glad they got theyre happy ending cant wait to read wats next
This was an okay read. My first by this author I believe. The characters were developed. The drama aplenty as were the grammatical errors. The errors were enough to be distracting. The story moved at a moderate pace and had flowed fairly well.
What incredible book..Had minor errors but not too much to complain about..Second time reading this author and she's doing a great job👏👏👏 Characters was described on point and was just a great storyline..Keep doing what you doing Rayna!!!
To was starting to get on my nerves Jaceon should have told Mel the truth. Vita as crazy. Mia made me mad but I'm glad that she was there for The baby. Love Trna glad that she found her happiness. Her Mom was a trip. A very good read
I hated the ending. Jaceon was ready to kill Rico for killing his friend. But you he let Vita live. Even tho she tired to kill is child. Nope! I'm glad Trina found love tho.
Good book from start to finish. This is my first book by you Rayna. I'm glad Mel and Jaceon were able to build on the relationship from that chance meeting in Miami. Can't wait to see what is next.
