I’ve spent most every review of this series noting how rote it is and how it’s ticking off boxes heading toward its ending. That has not changed in this volume.
Same as I said before, this book wants to tell its story and be the most bog-standard shojo ever written and, hey, it’s not that bad at it. There is nothing amazing here, but there’s certainly nothing bad either - if you just want to read a story that’s very Shojo 101, this is basically the pH 7 of the genre.
I like Kuze sticking up for her rival accidentally, that was a nice touch. It also greatly amused me to realize that there’s definitely an alternate universe version of this story where the two male rivals end up together after fighting over the manager. There just feels like a LOT of subtext in this one...
One volume to go and I’ll probably forget everything about this one until I re-read it in a few years, whereupon I will forget everything about it a second time, but will probably still have enjoyed it.

Dans cette suite, les amours adolescentes continuent à ponctuer les matchs de volley-ball qui passent à la trappe, il faut bien le reconnaitre. Ce n’est pas le sujet et cela, la mangaka nous l’a bien fait comprendre en orientant ses intrigues sur les amours adolescentes.
Notre héroïne, Kao Hayama qui manque de confiance en elle ne cesse d’admirer les autres filles qui managent avec elle l’équipe de volley de leur lycée. L’une d’elles va même déclarer sa flamme au garçon qu’elle aime.
Kao, après avoir avoué à Kiryû qu’elle l’aimait en tant qu’amie va-t-elle avoir le courage d’avouer ses sentiments à Kuze ? C’est quand même le gros point d’interrogation du manga.
Bon, on ne va pas se mentir, ce n’est pas dans cette série que vous aurez votre lot d’ascenseur émotionnel, toutefois, je salue la bienveillance et la douceur qui émane autant des pages que de l’histoire et de ses personnages.
C’est ça, c’est tout doux, et trop mignon. Les dessins, je les aime beaucoup. La mangaka a un très joli style qui matche super bien avec la trame du récit. Si j’ai eu envie de savoir si Kuze et Kao allaient enfin se décider, en gros ce n’est pas comme je l’attendais. En vrai, ce n’est pas avec I fell in love after school que vous aurez des sueurs froides ou des pincements à la poitrine.
Comme dirait notre grand ami, Cyril Lignac, ce manga, c’est comme un câlin, quand on le lit on se sent bien et entouré par un cocon de douceur toute chaude. C’est vraiment l’impression que ça me donne. Bon, maintenant, j’ai hâte d’avoir le dénouement entre Kao et Kuze.

Can't believe this is the penultimate volume! Lots of things happened here, for one, we finally saw this love triangle come to an end. If I were to really critique something here, it is that from the start it was pretty much obvious that the second lead did not stand a chance. But, I am still glad on how wholesome this entire series has been so far. The conflicts have all been pretty light and all the characters here are really nice to one another. I guess this is recommended to those who are really just looking for something light to read. :)

Nagisa confesseeed!!! Asahi did too, but he ain't my man—he's sweet and all, but I dunno, I need a man. A strong, mysterious guy who only acts soft with his love interest, and everyone’s like, 'I’ve never seen him like this with anyone.' That’s my man, and that’s Nagisa.
Still, Kao handled the rejection so well, and Asahi took it like a champ too.
Finally, Nagisa realized his feelings… 7 volumes later.
I love how the love triangle is just as intense as the sports plot—lowkey, I think I’m into sports just for this.

La compétition de volley commence enfin et elle va réserver son lot de surprises, surtout pour Kao qui va trouver son quotidien chamboulé.
J’ai bien aimé que les relations entre les personnages évoluent. Même si Kao n’a pas encore fait officiellement son choix, je me doute de comment va se finir l’histoire.
Une bonne lecture comme les tomes précédents, surtout que l’histoire a enfin bien avancé dans les derniers chapitres !
Ce tome est l’avant-dernier et je vous avoue que je suis impatiente de connaître la conclusion de l’histoire ! Sa sortie est prévue pour le mois prochain ! ♥

這次看的時機點不夠好，失去了會ドキドキ的心⋯⋯最後女主角沒去看醫生這點也料的了，比賽時走的劇情套路也有預想到，但不知道真正比賽內容如此之少😂

Didn't notice this last read, but I thought it was hilarious that they reveal Kao has had a best friend since middle school that has been around throughout the entire series (she's maybe had 3 conversations with Kao TOTAL throughout the series).
