Stripped of his magic and yanked from a challenge for the elven throne, Os’vald Drach is furious but also attracted to the human who accidentally summons him. When Os’vald’s brother tries to eliminate him from the competition for good, his mate Sterling vows to protect him, even putting his own life in jeopardy. Will the two find a way to escape or will they perish under his brother’s evil hand?
This paranormal M/M romance contains a dedicated neat-freak, an elf prince with a lust for humans, and a magical HEA that will hit your fluffy bone just right. 28,000 words or 112 pages.
Reading, writing, and white-water rafting are the three things Anitra Lynn enjoys the most. She is the author of erotic romances from contemporary to science fiction and everything in between. Even though her tales range from sensual to sizzling, with settings from the high rises of New York to the distant shores of an alien world, one thing all her stories share is compelling characters involved in unforgettable romances.
This is the fourth book in the Accidental Mates series, and I enjoyed it the most so far...I think. It seems that each has its own charm, but this one just seemed to have a bit more substance.
Sterling brings OCD to a whole new level. His therapist has suggested finger painting of all things, which I found hysterical. When he's had enough, he slams his hand down onto the paper, and BAM! An irate elf appears in his kitchen. But the mess made by his appearance and subsequent demand for the painting, knocking the paints to the floor, causes Sterling's cleaning instincts to kick into high gear, and he tunes out the tirade of the little violet-blue man with pointed ears.
Os'vald Drach believes himself to be the heir to the crown, throne, and scepter of the Deep Woods. He enjoys the human plane, but humans are ruled by emotions, while elves are ruled by their magic and battle skills. However, when Sterling summoned him and bound him to him, he also stole his power, or so the story goes.
But as the two get to know each other, and Os'vald lets down his defences, Sterling decides that a little while is better than nothing at all. The two find they can be their true selves around each other, and actually have more in common than either could have possibly realized. When an unexpected threat to Os'vald appears, Sterling does the only thing he can to save his lover's life.
When Os'vald realizes that Sterling risked everything for him, he knows what is in his heart. However, a nasty twist to the plot threatens to take their new found bond away, and Os'vald is willing to try anything to make things right. Unfortunately, in his desire to help his mate, he summons danger right to their door. The ugly truth is revealed, but together they are able to defeat their foe.
I absolutely adore the way the author allows Os'vald to integrate into the human world so that the two can be together. They compliment each other so well, and get their happily ever after in the end.
Happy reading!
* I received an ARC of this book and I am leaving my honest review. *
This was a very sweet and intriguing read. I enjoyed the elf and Sterling, the human, who somehow summoned him. They worked well together and their relationship touched my heart. The writing was well done and the conclusion of the story was quite satisfying and left me with a smile. Fun and enchanting series.
the love and interaction...the sweetness and banter.. the love and issues.. this series is just all together a fun series to read. makes me smile and laugh.. makes me happy and keeps me interested.. fast paced and very well written. i loved it
This one is actually my favorite. The chemistry between the two of them was really good and the story didn’t seem too rushed or anything like that either.
And the fun continues! I am a big fan of this accidental mates series and I loved ‘Oops,Elf!’ just as much as I enjoyed the previous three books in this series.
‘Oops Elf!’ can be read as a standalone and follows the same theme as the rest of the books in the series- accidental summoning of a paranormal from another realm/plane. In this book, Sterling-an anxious, lonely, ordinary guy accidentally summons Os’vald Drach ( I missed the honorific titles in book #3 and was absolutely delighted when I read the blurb, though it reminded me of Oswald the octopus-LOL) Elf price and contender for the throne, whilst working on a therapeutic finger-painting assignment.
The initial scenes are amusing to read as the duo realize their instant attraction and come to terms with each other. I love how delicate, vulnerable and calm Os’vald’s character was portrayed as. And the way in which both of the MCs struggle with their insecurities, inferiority complex and doubts. That’s what makes this book stand apart for me.
I love the romance and chemistry between Sterling and Os’vald. They are tots adorable. Though Sterling struggles a bit with his compulsion disorder and the idea of someone falling in love with him, he seems to bloom under Os’vald’s care and affection. The pace is set by them encountering Osvald’s brother and as they flee to recuperate. The plot twist at the end was quite a shocker, but made the story even more perfect. The author’s great narrative style and diction makes the story extremely fun to read.
A short, refreshing and fun read. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fluffy fated mates, paranormal romance.

It took me a moment to get into a groove with Os'vald's character, not really lilking him to start off with but you gradually learn how he has to be in the elf realm that he's from. He arrives in a poof of anger and indignation at being summoned but soon learns that Sterling is anything but what he was expecting. Sterling lives with his OCD taking up most of his life but when Os'vald arrives, it soon becomes something that's not the most important anymore. It took a little while for an emotional connection to kick in for these two men but a caring and protective nature comes over each of them, especially Os'vald as he's used to standing up for himself and others. When someone appears to want to remove Os'vald from the situation, Sterling surprises them both with his actions and I loved how it gave him a chance to stand strong and be protective of another, showing himself what he's capable of. The book moves along at a good pace and both men takes everything in stride, especially Sterling having an elf appear in his kitchen whilst he's finger painting...... There's heat and attraction between them right from the start and this is a really enjoyable read in this series. The books can be read as stand-alones. I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
Book #4 of Accidental Mates was sweet and endearing. Sterling, a human, who struggles with OCD is in the midst of a painting therapy session when he accidentally summons a violet-blue elf with the cutest pointy ears, Sterling has ever seen.
Os'vald is not just any elf, but a Prince. One of over two dozen elven siblings vying for the present King's throne. Os'vald finds himself not only in a strange human's presence, but the human has somehow stolen his magic.
Os'vald and Sterling must work together to find the clues in the painting that both bound them together and placed Os'vald's magic inside Sterling. During their time together the two discover how good they are together and how well they seem to "get" and understand one another. This helps them when an enemy from Os'vald's world shows up at Sterling's door.
This was sweet and showed that friendship, companionship, and love can overcome any obstacle including mental illness and physical differences.
A super quick read with endearing characters. On to book #5!💗
3.50 magically-babe-licious-stars ✨✨✨•✨

An enjoyable & quite humorous MM Elf/Human romance & the fourth book in the series “Accidental Mates” but it is complete & standalone. It has a interesting plot filled with murderous sibling rivalry & adventure. There is good scene descriptions & world building. The likeable characters (Os’vald & Sterling) have good chemistry & soon discovery that they are meant for each other. There is: A angry elf (Os’vald) is somehow stripped of his magic & accidentally summons by a human male (Sterling) with OCD tendencies while doing paint therapy, Os’vald’s devious brother (Md’drich), elves, humans, alternative worlds, some twists, drama, intrigue, threats, danger, humor, adventure, some action, mystery, magic, confrontations, accusations, verbal conflict, insults, threats, aggression, mates, memories, attractions, honesty, verbal banter, protectiveness, contemplation, a unpleasant surprise, devious plans, manipulations, physical conflict, realization, love, steamy scenes, contentment & a wonderful sweet happy ending.
Of all the stories, I think this one had the most well-rounded characters and the story was sufficiently wrapped up with an exciting beginning and a sweetly wonderful ending. While I think there were a couple bits that didn't really work as well, like near the end with Os'vald's weirdly justified behavior in the beginning as well as the ease of location change to satisfy the story's end, overall I think this was an immensely successful story. It felt complete because there were two unique characters with quirks and vulnerabilities and motivations that were believable and interesting. The drama was specific to the MC's and their dilemma. The ending was appropriately sweet, it fit with the story, and was a believable solution to any difficulties they might face because of their different races. This one got me in the feels at the same time that it satisfied my need for a believable and well-played plot.
The Fourth book of the the Accidental Mates series begins with Sterling thinking he summoned a bright blue elf to Earth.
This book was entertaining as always. The author knows how to make a person laugh and raise eyebrows at the antics her characters to get into
I didn’t feel this book like I have with the others. I think she was trying to have some serious moments. (Sterling needing to be in control and keep things CLEAN) but it fell sort of flat as the minute Os’Vald shows up, his anxieties and fears are dismissed. Os’Vald’s part of the story was interesting and I loved the take on why Os’Vald was happiest in the Earth realm.
So, basically, Sterling and Os’Vald were fun and quirky but when they got together, it kinda fizzled on me.
This is a fun, humorous, and entertaining addition to the Accidental Mates series. Although each of the stories includes the mating of a human with a paranormal being, each one is different, with endearing characters and unique plots. I have really enjoyed the variety of beings the author has included in her books. This time, Sterling, a human suffering from OCD, inadvertently summons elf Os'vald through a failed finger painting attempt. I enjoyed seeing Sterling take the upper hand in their relations and seeing him gain more strength and confidence. I loved the way the two meshed together to make a complete whole for both.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
The Accidental Mates Series brings an interesting twist to the paranormal genre. A lot of the M/M paranormal books tend to be very heavy, full of action, and a lot of angst. This series is a refreshing find that brings a little lightness and escape to the M/M paranormal world. In keeping with the rest of the series there is a bit of role reversal that I love. This time it was a little different in the previous 2 books although the paranormal being held most of the “power” it is nice to see that the human is the one that is more in control. Also an elf!! I love that she is breaking outside of the mold of “popular paranormal beings”. Sterling and Os’vald’s love story is so much fun and an enjoyable read!
Oops! Elf is the fourth book in the Accidental Mates series by Anitra Lynn McLeod. It is a paranormal m/m romance that will make you crack up. All Sterling was trying to do is paint a picture, instead he summons an Elf prince named Os'vald. Now they are bonded and fighting to survive a play for the crown.
Os'vald and Sterling are great characters and the story is entertaining and interesting. I love how they interact together and how they fall in love. The plot kept my attention. Fits well with the rest of the fun series.
I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
This book 4 on these series can be read as standalone, and as other ones in the series, it featured another way to meet you mate. When Sterling was trying paint therapy for his OCD he summoned Os'vald, an elf fighting against all his brothers and sisters for his father's throne. Falling for each other while escaping his brother’s murdering intentions led them to discover the way for Os’vald to stay forever. Besides all the action and adventures, the book is also full of romance and hot scenes. Summarizing, the story is interesting, funny and easy to read. Amazing!! I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy of this book but it is currently available for purchase.
I liked this elvin romance. I liked that acceptance was a main theme. I did once again feel like the MCs problems magically poofed away when they found their person which was a flaw but I liked the idea of this magical elf prince ending up in in some guys living room. POOF! I did feel like the prince storyline was left unresolved-surely you would need to notify someone you are out of the race or something...right?
Overall, this was a short paranormal Romance with an interesting story.

This series is an adorable piece of fluff with a hint of drama to keep things interesting, I’ve enjoyed each one. I loved how Sterling a compulsive cleaner, even in danger, when the elf Os’vald was summoned and was trying to destroy Sterling he kept trying to clean up the mess. Lots of laughs, some sweet intimate scenes and a baddy in Md’drich, Os’vald’s brother, what more could you want.
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book for my honest opinions of which I’m under no obligation to do so. I definitely recommend this book.
Sterling accidentally summons his mate Os’vald whilst doing finger painting as a form of art therapy. There is immediate chemistry between the two and this deepens as they get involved in Os’vald’s family drama. They are both lovely, likeable characters that had me engaged in their story. This is another sweet, fluffy instalment in the series that is not overly dramatic nor is it an emotional read. stars
This was interesting and I think it was one of my favorites in this series. I liked how once their little misunderstanding of summoning Os’vald was ignored these two worked well together. I loved that Os’vald ended up giving Sterling some courage he needed and also helps him to calm his constant nerves. I think it’s funny how Os’vald ends up teaching people about elves.
I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review.
The 4th ( and wonderful) book Oops! Elf Accidental Mates, can be read as a stand alone but I recommend that you read them all since they are great books! I liked this book a lot! There was the sweet and adorable couple Os’vald and Sterling. They were wonderful, funny and cute! They were great to watch and expand as a couple. I am really enjoying this series, definitely would suggest this book/series to everyone.
This is the fourth book in The Accidental Mates Series. The writing was interesting and good. I loved this summoning it was great. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters likeable. The characters were developed and thought out. Os’vald Drach and Sterling are the MC’s of this book. I can recommend this book as a good read. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.
Os’vald and Sterling were a great couple. The idea of Sterling getting Os'vald's magic made things interesting. I loved seeing Sterling's obsessive behavior ease up as his feelings grew for the elf who was his mate. The struggle with Os'vald's brother added drama and angst, but it also helped to move the relationship forward. I cared about both of these characters, and I enjoyed this addition to the Accidental Mates series.
This is another great short read on the Accidental Mates series. Os’vald is a cranky elf who is accidentally called by his human mate which makes him even crankier especially when he realises he has lost his magic. Sterling will do anything to protect his accidental mate even if he keeps trying to kill him in some magical way. This one was just a tad more serious than the past 3 stories but equally as good.
This is the fourth book in the Accidental Mates series, and I really enjoyed it. While it can be read as a standalone you don't want to miss any of the stories from this series. I love the romance and chemistry between Sterling and Os’vald. A short, refreshing and fun read that I totally recommend!
Os’vald and Sterling are sweet. This story was light and fluffy with a bit of drama from Os’vald's brother. Like the rest of the stories this was fast paced and still had a decent story line.
Book 4 of the series and when an elf is summoned to the human realm he is not happy. An instant attraction is formed as Sterling and Osvald work together to escape Os’ evil brother.
I like the fluffy feel and the pace of the books in the series, I can’t wait to read more, most enjoyable.
I really liked this one. It was more serious than the previous ones which I enjoyed the change. I loved the characters, and how Sterling stepped up and chose to risk everything for Os'vald.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Another good addition to the series. I thought Sterling was very sweet and funny. This was an easy read full of sexy moments and enough fluff to float a boat!
