Rate this book
Have you ever been hurt, betrayed, used or done wrong? At some point in life, we all experience wounds from others. But, staying hurt is not okay. When we refuse to let go of the hurt, it turns to unforgiveness and unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting the other guy to die. It eats our lunch. This book is all about HOW to forgive, how to dig into the Bible when you've been hurt and let the Word set you free.

Forgiveness is how God does do-overs and it's how He makes things new and gives us a fresh start. You and I were made new because He forgave us. Forgiveness is the key to cut the chain to our past hurts and to walk away free.

This book shows the power of forgiveness and includes miracle stories about people who thought that forgiveness wasn't the answer to their problems, but when they learned to forgive, their lives were transformed!

I forgive you, but... Karen Jensen Salisbury has touched me deeply. This book now rests beside my Bible. I had long prayed for a wise woman to guide me, and the Lord sent Karen with her books and teachings. I first met this woman of God at Rhema during the Winter Bible Seminar; she exuded vitality, wisdom, and a grounded nature.
After her sermon, I thanked her for her enlightening words and asked her for advice on a book that would help navigate a complex relationship, and she recommended this one. I purchased it that same day; I was holding it in my hands at the hotel when conflicting thoughts raced through my mind, urging me to return it as it might reopen old wounds.
Despite the doubts, I trusted Karen's guidance and began reading the book on my journey home.
From beginning to end, it provided me with nourishing scripture that quenched the dry areas of my soul.
In other parts, the book acted as a catalyst for growth in my heart's soil. I can confidently say that my roots in Christ Jesus are stronger today because of this book. It deserves to be translated into every language. I wholeheartedly endorse reading it. It's a true gem.

Look no further if you are looking to forgive or be forgiven!

This book arrived in my Inbox as an eBook on offer and WOW, what perfect timing because I was at that precise moment, struggling with forgiving a close friend who had recently betrayed me. All I can say is this book helped me a lot, and got me to a place of peace after forgiving, all within a week. An easy yet enlightening read, well-written and supported with Bible verses, this is a highly recommended book! Karen writes as if she were talking to you and that’s really helpful. Double useful if you are looking to forgive or be forgiven. I pray that this book blesses you as it did me. God bless!

The hardest thing for us to do? Forgive!

I really enjoyed how this book as out together. First getting to read the individual stories and how each one learned how to forgive. As I read I could see others or myself in the stories and it helped to relate. The second step was immersing yourself with the scriptures. Finally the this step being able to write down the names and forgiving. Would highly recommend!

“I Forgive You, But…” 3 Steps that can heal your heart forever by Karen Jensen Salisbury asks the question “Have you ever been hurt, betrayed, used or done wrong?” At some point in life, everyone experiences wounds at the hands or words of others. Staying hurt is not okay. When we refuse to forgive, holding on to the hurt, we end up hurting ourselves rather than punishing the person who hurt us. Karen Jensen Salisbury sets out to present a book about how to forgive, how to turn to the Bible when you’ve been hurt and let the Word set you free. Forgiveness is the God offered do-overs and fresh starts and walk away free from the pain of the past. Featuring the real life stories of individuals who once thought that forgiveness wasn’t the answer, but learned the transformative power of forgiveness.
Many people think that forgiveness should be given when it has been asked for or when the person is truly sorry. However, what happens when the person never asks or doesn’t think he or she did anything wrong. Karen Jensen Salisbury shows readers through personal stories and Scriptures that forgiveness frees us from bitterness and resentment even when forgiveness isn’t asked for or when the pain remains despite the “I’m sorry.” While I expected a different format, the book is still filled with Scriptures on forgiveness and examples of how unforgiveness affects our daily lives. One of my favorite quotes from the book is “Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future. Nobody can go back and make a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” What a great reminder! I recommend “I Forgive You, But…”

The gift you give yourself is forgiving another for their misdeeds so you no longer carry their burden for them. Forgiveness is essential if you want a meaningful life. Sometimes we hold on to our resentments like a warm cozy blanket. Nothing could be more self-destructive. Forgiveness can often become the road less traveled as we typically chose to linger in active grudge holding. Really bad idea. This little tomb is a reminder to us that to forgive is truly a freeing gift for our own personal, emotional and spiritual growth. Sometimes we need a kick in the pants to act in this direction. This book provides said kick in a logical, thoughtful manner.

I was hoping for more from this book. It caught my eye on account I am one who struggles with forgiveness. I feel like it was too focused on religion. “ God says this, God says that” that is all this book seemed to be.
